Like Hae said, yes you can. But to add on to it, if they're both wealthy and gifted, they would likely be considered of wealthy status by the school, since they wouldn't just hand out scholarships to everyone--especially if they can afford it. However, (again, as mentioned earlier) I will be judging your character more critically. It's extremely easy to create a mary-sue gifted character, so I'm a bit wary about adding enormous wealth on top of that. I've had bad experiences in the past with mary sue chars (Lance, McHaggis and Liriia know my pain), and I'm taking extra precautions because it was such a big problem.

As for the teacher bit... Yes, the school does make sure that they treat everyone fairly, and any teacher that doesn't will do so because of their own personal bias and be reprimanded and punished. The inequality should be rather minimal, I imagine that it would exist mostly within the students. I'm recycling a lot of old teachers (mine and Lance's for the most part. We had a lot of chars) and a lot of them were super nice and understanding of each character's situation. I don't think it'll matter too much because the teacher/student interaction should be rather low for this RP.

And no, I don't think I'm ever opening up teachers as an option--sorry!

Yep, that's perfectly fine with me. I'm just a bit drawn to make a teacher just to mess with the student's lives. I'm sure a campus villain wouldn't be a bad idea (or is it?) but anyway, if it's not open, I can understand that. :D

Also, here's my character.

@HalfOfLancelot That pretty much explains my slight confusion. Just something that I wanted to hear before conceptualizing my character.

And I was thinking between the lines that the academy might scheme their way into corrupting their own system since the wealthy families are likely to give them more recognition than the middle class. So I was assuming that they might secretly give more acknowledgements to the privileged while sustaining the same treatment to the rest of the social class.

I also kinda wanted to create a teacher but I fully understand them being semi-npcs in this RP since I've a fair share of the same kind of RP setting where teachers only had a small percentage of interaction between the ensemble of students. However, if there can be a consideration on making them completely playable, then count me in! :D
So is it acceptable for one character to be of two different classes? Like he/she can both be of the wealthy and gifted class? Because I'm planning to make a guy who is somewhat talented and rich at the same time.

Also just a clarifying question, do students receive unbiased treatment and equal benefits from the academy's administration given their differences on the social hierarchy?
I'm slowly trying to get my creative juices back together, so I guess joining a school type rp is going to be a good start for that.
