"CARTER!" You could hear the frustrated voice from pretty much everywhere in the small house. "Dalton go wake up your sister!" the frustrated mother CONTINUED making breakfast for her somewhat large family. Carter was the middle child of five. Her two older sisters, Mary, and Stacy are twins. They are eighteen and just about to finished high-SCHOOL. They both have boyfriends and are very popular. They are going on their last year of high school. While Carter on the other hand, is just starting, at 15 years old. She will be going to the same school, and she always lived in the shadow of her two older sisters. No one ever really paying any attention to her in her house. With a big family of seven, it gets pretty easy to get "Forgotten" As Carter puts it. And then there was Dalton, who was ten, although younger than her, and more years apart from Dalton than she is from her sisters, she feels closer to Dalton, he relates to her more as being the "Forgotten children".
And you couldn't forget the little youngster, at two years old, you would realize why this mother was having such a hard time with this big family. The baby was just learning to walk, and talk, and so that put even more stress on the mother. The little girl was named Jasmine. So Dalton felt out of place in the sea of girls pretty much. The father however was never home, having to pay to support this big family, he is working two JOBS, one full time and one part time, and the mother stays at home to take care of the family. Carter misses her dad, as it was just the three of the girls, he spent a lot more time at home, but with two extra kids he had to take on a second job, and barley at home. Mary and Stacy barley talk to her as it is, and she just feels so alone.
"Carter?" a small but still voice came from the doorway of her room. Carter was in the long mirror looking at what she looked like for the first day of HIGH SCHOOL. Contemplating weather or not it was a good look. Once she heard the small voice a smile was brought to her face as she knew exact ally who it was. "Dalton!" she said before even turning around, she smiled. "Is ma looking for me?" "Yes almost breakfast." Dalton said as he stepped in to see his sister. "You excited for your first day of high-school?" "More like ready to barf! I'm super nervous!" "Don't worry" he reassured her as he sat down on her bed. They talked for a few minutes before both of their names were shouted from the halway. They had a small four bedroom house, Carter, sharing a bedroom with the little Jasmine, and Mary and Stacy sharing a bedroom, Dalton got his own room. Which he was thankful for that. Sad that their chat had to be cut short, they both walked out of the room and headed for the kitchen for breakfast. Mary and Stacy pushing and shoving each other to get to their seats before Carter could. Dalton had sat down already, he rushed out because he knew the riot Mary and Stacy would cause. A big sigh came from their mom as Stacy and Mary were fighting.
Carter just rolled her eyes and then sat down, she managed to get a waffle before everyone else snatched up all the food. As she was getting ready to eat, "Hurry up, you'll be late! Stacy, Mary, you two will be taking Carter with you" "But mom!" protested Stacy. "I don't want to hear another word, you will take Carter with you." Stacy grumbled and Carter was told to go grab her backpack and hurry. Carter had heard about this new cafe that had a website that only the people there can go to, they can chat with people who only go to that store so she thought it'd be a cool place to go to after school. So she slipped her laptop into her backpack and headed out the door with a waffle in her mouth.
At the school Stacy and Mary pulled in and were suddenly swarmed with friends as they got out of the car. Carter got out of the car slumped her bag over her shoulder and just sighed. She glanced around at everyone, obviously the people swarming Mary and Stacy were the popular people. And both their boyfriends came up and started hanging all over them. She couldn't help but roll her eyes. She pushed past the group of people, she felt so out of place here, she got looks and glares, what has she ever done to them? She shook her head slightly as she made her way for the front office to get her class schedule. The school was close enough to where she could walk, but far enough for her to finish her waffle before having to get out to go to class. Mary and Stacy didn't have the best grades, but she was sure they passed ever so slightly because of their flirting. Carter was short. About four feet eight inches. (How tall I am xp) She had long light brown hair. She wore a plain red t-shirt with a LONG DENIM SKIRT. She wore skirts all the time, she felt more modest in them. But in all reality anything would be more modest than what her sisters were wearing, but she didn't want to think about that right now. She feels that's the only way they have boyfriends, by the way they dress they attract every guy in the school. As for her, she'd rather have someone like her for her personality or something, but she knew that was never going to happen as long as she looked the way she did. But she didn't care. The right one will come some day.
