Natasha woke to the sound of a car horn blaring, as if right next to her building, she almost dismissed it until she noticed it didn't stop. Prick. she thought, finally eyeing the blinking green light on her phone. She pulled her arm from underneath her and reached for the phone. She pressed the button at the bottom of the screen and winced at the bright light. She squinted, the screen read Kain. She paused, her heart skipping a beat, That's Kevin's younger brother. she thought. She quickly typed in the four digit code to listen to his voice mail, "Natasha! It's me again, Kain. I can't get hold of my brother, this is important. Get him to call me. Thanks."
Her heart wrenched as she bit her lip, she held her phone up and pressed the 'call back' button. She quickly dressed, pulling on skinny jeans, a black tank top and a long sleeve shirt. She ran a hand through her hair as she pulled her shoes on. She waited for Kain to pick up as she stared at her right hand, the red mark taunting her, she pulled her gloves on, the phone between her shoulder and ear. When the call went to voicemail she sighed, "Hey Kain, I'm sorry I just got your message. Call me back, we should meet up, talk." she said, pressing the red hang up button. She sighed and closed her eyes, the blaring of the horn getting on her nerves. She stood up, "No use in trying to sleep now..." she grumbled.
Natasha grabbed her keys, phone and the small, black handgun from her bedside table. She check the safety, then checked to see if she needed to reload. She stuffed the keys and phone in her pocket and holstered the gun. She looked disdainfully at the belt she'd been given with the gun before dashing out of her apartment, down towards the blaring car horn.
She stepped out of the building and looked around, the streets were dead, no one was out this early in the morning except the drunks getting home from a late night at the bar, or where ever they had come from. She walked down the street, pulling the hood over her head, hands in her pockets. From the sound of the horn, it could be a couple blocks, but with her hearing she could be wrong, it could be farther.
Lol just a bit, the idea was strange powers that could be used in many ways and my character only has sight and sound covered, but when she uses them together she's able to sense the people in her ranges, almost like she has other 'senses' than the five, it's really cool :D
I'm currently in another superhero RP (The premises is different from this one, totally incidental XD) and my character has some abilities over sensory depravation? Up to 20ft (At the moment) she can created an area of soundlessness, and up to 15ft she can create an area of total darkness, cutting off sight and sound.
Something like that might work for this, it's pretty fun
Appearance: Brown hair, blue-green eyes, pale skin. A slightly toned appearance, usually in simpler cothing (Tank tops, t-shirts, jeans, hoodies and jackets), she stands at 5'6" and on her right had is a marking that looks as if she dipped her hand in blood.
Personality: Pre-breach Natasha was a soft, kind girl that always tried her best to please those around her. In her early years that would cause her to be stepped upon, but she learned when to stand up for herself. After the breach, the disappearance of her boyfriend and the murder, she hardened. She's often quiet and cold, but she can easily snap into a blazing fury with the right trigger. As she has moved around, she's learned to have minor control over her anger.
Biography: Natasha was an ordinary girl, from an ordinary, middle-high class family with two ordinary parents and one brother. She grew up in a small housing community by the name of New Hope. After graduating she moved to the coast for college, it was after she moved to New York with her boyfriend that the disaster struck. She doesn't remember what happened but when she awoke, the city was in panic, her boyfriend was missing and she had developed... Powers. When the voice told her to kill others she tried to resist, but the first one attacked, a neighbor in her apartment building, she killed and ran, spending most of the next day in shock. After this event, she became determined to survive and figure out just what happened, taking on the name Nysa.
