@Aisling "My head hurts, but I don't have too many painkillers," Vladislaus answered. "Too many of them cause a change in consciousness."

@Aisling It did not take long until Vladislaus was taken into the room they were in. He had his eyes open and looked like he was fully awake.
"Dad!" Dracula hugged him. "Thank God!"

@Aisling "Exactly," Dracula said. "I was only allowed to see him for a short time, when he came for a state visit."

@Aisling Dracula nod. "That's true as well... but I can't blame him. He didn't know I was tortured... they promised him not to mistreat us, and when I saw him, I wasn't allowed to tell anything."

@Aisling Dracula nod. "When I was in Turkey, they would stop torturing me two weeks before a planned visit of my father, and wouldn't torture me while he was there... that's where this feeling of safety comes from..."

@Aisling "It's blood as well. We can have such things, but they usually heal without lasting damage," Ioan answered. "I'm only in a wheelchair because they couldn't remove the bullet from my brain."

"I'm not the strong man I always pretend to be..." Dracula said. "I feel like a helpless little boy far too often... but when my father's around, I feel safe... like nothing can ever happen to me... to me, he is what a harbour is for a ship in a stormy night..."
