done! And yeah... trust me, I know better than to open that can of worms
Ah yes, I almost forgot. Since it is important for a future challenge, I'm asking that you would, at some point, edit in some fears for your characters. It'll help out a lot when that time comes around.
No worries! I can't really see it going anywhere passed awkward silences or maybe a Freudian slip here and there anyway... the internalized homophobia runs strong in this one.
Okay, phew. I was really worried since that tends to be a touchy subject. Especially on the internet. Okay, with that cleared up, go ahead and slap those characters onto the characters tab! I'll update the accepted characters list when you do.
@CourierSix You can control that last NPC pirate as you wish. I'm hoping that the two of them can make it to Yggdrasil soon after the fight there is wrapped up.
Oh yeah, done!
Really looking forward to this!
Okay, don't take this the wrong way when I say it... I'm perfectly okay with having homosexual characters on here, but I am not comfortable with any actual, physical homosexual romance. Can we meet in the middle and agree to not having any actual gay relationships? Again, please don't get upset. I don't want to offend anyone. I'm just incredibly uncomfortable with any such actions taking place. BUT I'm cool with gay characters. Heck, I have a gay friend. So deal?
Bump.

Updated Accepted Characters list.
Name: Violet "Vi" Miklos Age: 17 Gender: Female Appearance: Motivation: Her parents wanted to get her out of the house so that she could be independent of them as soon as possible. They found a camp for her to go to and made her sign the suspiciously long contract. They all thought it was a genuine summer camp, and Vi still thinks that. She's in for a rude awakening, however. But while she's here, may as well try to become a hundred-thousand-aire, right? Backstory: Vi faced depression through most of her life. Her heterochromia always made her the butt of many jokes, and she's gone through most of her life without any friends. Another one of her goals, while she is here, is to hopefully make some friends and get to know some people. Personality: Vi is a genuinely sweet and caring girl. Sometimes, she may need some reminding that they are in a competition, because it is her nature to help anyone and everyone. If she happens to make any friends, though, then you'd better not mess with them. It's always the quiet ones... And Vi is REALLY shy. Misc: Vi has a fear of burning to death, drowning, or being buried alive. She used to have nightmares involving those three things frequently, but they're much less common now... Doesn't mean she's any less afraid, though.
Name: Ned DeRosario Age: 16 Gender: Male Appearance: Motivation: Ned never was able to prove himself to anyone outside of his vast knowledge of many various subjects. He's out to beat everyone on the island by outwitting the competition, and demonstrating his superior mind on international television. Backstory: Ned has always been a shut in. Never once left his house when he didn't absolutely have to, he always preferred to stay inside and absorb all the information he could- off the internet and from books. He was also always picked on for being rather scrawny and unkempt, but it never even bothered his ego once. Personality: Ned is your stereotypical nerd. He knows all sorts of odd and random things that most people would deem useless information. But he's proud to demonstrate such knowledge when opportunity knocks. This most likely comes from his antisocial background, and as such he never learned when to keep his mouth shut. He's a pretty nice guy for a know it all, though, and is well aware of what is at stake. He's not the strongest physical competitor, but when you can get past his vast overconfidence and start listening to him instead of ignoring him (which people tend to do), he can be a great brain to have in many challenges. Misc: He's got a hoarse voice. He also has many awkward quirks, one of which is his fear of crunchy peanut butter. Highly irrational, yes, but to him, its crunchiness is just terrifyingly unnatural. He's also very clumsy, but claims to have a "sexy bod" and "wicked talents".
The Stinking Client World, Okay? Sheesh. Ridge listened to the caped hero's brief explanation of the situation at hand. This organization seemed a lot like a non-government version of the Interuniversal Alliance, which housed the headquarters of his old group of vigilantes. "It's great that you'll let me help, really. When I'm bored, I'm more prone to my... Nevermind," he stopped himself quickly. Telling anyone about Maelstrom now would probably not be to his benefit, so he didn't. Ridge began to fly the other direction when his not-so-captor interrupted. "Oh, and Ridge? Don't kill anyone." "Oh, trust me. I don't kill. I would never kill." he smiled after he finished his statement, then took off again. No, but I do. The voice in his head rang. Tidge usually blocked out Maelstrom's suggestions to the point of not even knowing he's saying anything. But he heard this one, and the thought of what he would do if he got control to the people of this universe made him shudder. He quickly shook it off, though. He had a job to do. Ridge checked his watch and scanned the area for the alien. Sure enough, he found movement. Right below him, second floor of the building. Ridge thought, then decided that using his EMP wouldn't hurt since he was going to a place full of probable allies soon. So, he let the electromagnetic pulse loose. After disabling the alien's electronics, Ridge floated down to the front door, knocked, walked in like a notmal person, then went upstairs. The click of the alien's gun was immediately heard, and upon realizing the gin was disabled, he charged Ridge. "So unprofessional," he sighed, sidestepping and sticking his leg out to trip the alien. He succeeded and sent the alien tumbling down the stairs, and upon reaching the bottom, he was already unconscious. Ridge picked up the alien by the color and zipped very quickly over to the ship Superman told him to meet at, where he dropped the guy on the ground. He dusted his hands off and laid back, floating in the air on his back as though he were in the pool. Deciding to relax while waiting for ol' Clark Kent, he closed his eyes and kept a close ear on the unconscious alien. What're you gonna do when I get out, Boss? You can't hold me in here forever. You never can. Ridge pretended not to hear the comment in his head.
