Had a run-in with the cops today.

I'm helping a buddy move out of his apartment and into the house he's renting. Fortunately, the two properties are only 3 blocks away from each other. So I was loading things up in my truck and dropping them off, back and fourth a few times. On my way back for the last time, I decided not to wear my seat-belt for such a short trip. Shortly after I stopped at a 4-way intersection, a police cruiser pulled up aside me.

I slowly, nervously, fumbled with my seatbelt, but it's an old truck to I had to try clicking it a few times. When I looked back up, I saw the two officers staring directly at me. In my infinite wisdom, I proceeded to do this with my hands and drove away.

Full Metal Panic (FUMOFFU or something) is probably one of the funniest things I've ever seen. I guess there's a serious version and then they transplant the characters into a goofing-off season, or something? Idunno, I didn't really dig into it or anything, but holy shit though.

Beat me to it.

Full Metal Panic is a mecha-action anime with a good amount of humor alongside some really heavy moments. The first season ended with the beginning of summer, and evil being recently vanquished. The perfect setup for FUMOFFU, season 1.5, which is all humor. It's over-the-top, often makes fun of other serious animes, and does not require you to have seen the first season.

The series has a second season that gets really fucking dark, but is equally awesome. I would highly recommend.



EDIT: To give you more understanding, the series is essentially about a young mercenary, who was essentially raised by freedom fighters, to infiltrate a high school and protect an important young girl. He has absolutely no understanding of a normal social life, and solves everyday problems with military logic.
