Those who defected from North Korea to live in South Korea are usually pushed into specific neighbourhoods and apartment buildings. The people are generally smaller and very easy to differentiate. There is a stigma, unspoken separation, and generally, North Koreans are not see as the same. They are to be avoided. There are literally television shows made solely to humanize North Korean refugees in the country. If you think brainwashing is only in North Korea, or that unification is simply erasing borders, you may be surprised what decades of undervaluing and demonizing does to the mind and a people. It's not a simple solution. You mean for Americans? Because there have been dozens of genocides, terrorist attacks, and civilian deaths all around the world that I would say dwarf our 9/11 by far. Where our worst memory in recent history struck in a matter of less than half a hour, killing a thousands of civilians, the wars they led to have caused more civilian deaths over a decade -- meaning unlike us who now fear for safety from one event, there are children who grew up fearing air-strikes and sieges indiscriminately killing their families or them. I'd say that dwarfs 9/11 by far.

Toellner have you played the tabletop much before?

I was considered the best player in my city for two years, won a big tournament in Madison, and placed well many times in Milwaukee. However, I realized how much money I was pumping into it and dropped out of the tournament scene after my sophomore year in high-school. I played off-and-on for the until I sold most of my army before heading to basic training. When I got back, I had other interests and I never really went back. If I did pick it up, I would have to seriously refresh myself on how to play the game. That's without considering how much things might have changed since 2007.
Something I have always thought of was the power of smoke-manipulation. The power of this ability could range for a mediocre character to a very serious threat, but there can be many applications for the ability to control or generate smoke. The obvious one is creating a smoke-screen, limiting vision and making it difficult to breathe for any enemies. You could also use smoke to deliberately blind or choke a person, make signals/shapes, or just make people high. Some of the high-end powers I have thought up include teleportation and item generation. The teleport is rather restricted, if you see a column of smoke from your current position, you could evaporate into a cloud of smoke and appear from the column seen earlier. Item generation goes in the way that you would be able to craft something out of smoke, and it takes a semi-solid form. Think of robes or armor made out of smoke, that swirl and look all mysterious, or dual swords that leave smoke trails when swung.
