I cannot believe I didn't see one of these on the front page, KoTH is awesome! I shall start our adventure, by first creating our battleground and placing the traditional Creation's hill flag. KoTH :
All these things that brought you to me, I am Creation, pleasure to meet you upon this evolution of ideas. Two creations rejoicing in friendly banner, may things never change, however, the inner megalomaniac screams for me to grind the competition to dust. Luckily, I am consumed by a sloth demon that demands constant comedy, or else we'd have a bony discussion. I'd hate to have to crack a bone, that'd bore me to the bone.
Alright alright, all-in-all, I look forward to roleplaying with the new connects I make here, hope I make you all feel the same.
The newly specialization of knights approach the castle's walls. The sound of the river flowing through the chambers of the castle offers a relaxing ease from the newly appointed knights' brutal training with the royal knight captain, Sundar. Sundar is a knight that is considered the true heroine of all denizens and citizens of Shahar from her great dedication to protecting her nation. When the ranks enters the castle the king greets them wielding his renown trident and a friendly grin which is practically close to touching his royal horns that protrude from his head. "My fellow warriors.." The king begins as an eerie understanding settles in the knights' minds. This isn't just a glorious moment, "We are at war." The King's words seem to warp into everyone's mind, and Sundar's face twists thinking of the opponents to come. "Your training has led you all to this moment, forget your backgrounds, we all stand united as the Protectors of Shahar and her inhabitants!" He shouts while lifting the trident in the air. Suddenly, a large shockwave shudders from his trident sending a breeze through his knights, Sundar's armor begins to vibrate and glow as the tide of energy stimulates her power. The heroine begins to howl out in a celebration. The rally cry pierces each knight, each warrior begin to shimmer with their own element while the lesser simply feel inspired while all are left the mark of Asgeirr, their king.
The Heckler Emerges
"Who settled YOU as king?!"
A heckle breaches the rally causing murmurs, instinctively, Asgeirr flails a phantom spear in the direction of the voice. The knights clear from area, helping their fellow soldier with their abilities. In mid-air the energy spear dangles in front of a single, "human?!" one of lesser knights eludes to the others. "YOU ALL watched as we fought." The human struggles to say as they repulse the energy spear into the river, adjacent to Asgeirr, which sends a torret of water and steam into the fray. When the air clears shadow-like vines flow from the deranged human and bind Shahar's bright future. The vines begin seeping the warriors into the foundation of the castle, "Sundar save me!" weep many of the unfortunate, which sends their hero into a fury. The Captain spares no time for all of her phantom swords to appear before diving at the infiltrator. Sundar grips onto the first available blade and unleashes a flurry of attacks, "YOUR....KIND...WILL..DIE." She shouts as she, seemingly, connects blows with the human's skin. The last of her needed swords appear, and she hefts her right hand up, the blades follow suite soaring into the air. Sundar then whisks and aligns the blades in a pincer formation downward at the human. A derange smile spreads across the human's pale face as each sword pierce the durable human's skin. "Holy, I thought those things were wea-" One of the knights says to their recently released brother-at-arm, before the the infiltrator fades out and back into vision phasing right through Sundar's defenses. The human poises with a stubby knife, the stab, and a red shock wave disperses behind Sundar's armor, which cracks. The shockwave clips a knight that was coming to aid their captain, their body split and disperses into particles amongst the air, leaving a clatter of armor behind. Sundar does not hesitate against her pain, she instantly grabs hold of the human's wrist. The heroine's face twitches in anger, as particles seem to rise from the neckline of her armor, even through this persisting elimination aches her determination does not falter. The human finally shows sign of blood, as the heroine lets loose a combination attack. Phantom blades pierces through the human's legs from the cobblestone of the floor, constricting the human from moving and then a forte side puncture. Through this amazing combination the human makes no sound, they stare at Sundar as if the attack is doing nothing with that damning smile. The Heroine in utter rage of this lets loose a beam from her mouth, however before it can lay waste it is redirected by some unknown entity inside the human's cloak. The beam clashes against multiple knights, fortunately, they were protected by a knight specialized in shielding. A large knight projecting a shield, with the delta symbol upon the projection, is sent through the castle walls from the impact of the devastating beam. The delta knight's exit through the wall is followed many startled brothers and sisters in arms, also in shock of what had occurred, the heroine loses her grip on the human. This unfortunate mistake causes the protruding swords that were in the sides and legs of the human to disperse into the air leaving a spectacular sight of a sparkling blue particle floating into the air, giving a show to the terror about to unfold. The Heroine can only watch in dread of her error while the human recoils their arm to being the next attack, within the fray, Asgeirr saves Sundar from another stab, knowing it would be the last. A large Trident protrudes from the ground where the human's left hand was stabbing toward and where Sundar's body once was. The human's body seems to twitch and warp under the dominance of the aura that the trident is currently pulsating out. "Greema, the time for tea and conversation is over, I guess?" The king's forgotten smile is replaced with a dismayed frown. "There is no mercy here, Asgeirr!" The being shouts their rage giving them the strength to shift their body ever slowly toward the king. Asgeirr reunites beside his trident seeming to peer at the human with pity.
(Hid to make it easier to follow the event, as it was just a build on to the knights abilities.)The Knights rise on their own power, many of which have learned Sundar's specialty phantom blade technique. These special knights have their own niche to it, such as: a signature on the blade, a spear instead of a blade, et cetera.
"Then let us settle this, fallen human." Before anyone can react the king breaches his dominance aura, that was persisting around the trident, with his off-hand and hurdles the human through the air as if they were a spear, in unison, he sweeps his trident out of the ground and directs his immense power into making a portal behind the intruder. The human's deranged smile had never faltered and disappears within the gleaming oval. "Protect our beautiful Shahar!" The king orders his knights before his spear lets out a energy pulse and sends Asgeirr propelling into the air and through the closing portal.
The Division's return
The cobblestone the king had vacant cracks and gives way to the bottom floor, "THE KING!!" Shouts a huffing Sundar, she propels on a blade through the opening in the floor. The heroine's armor has broken revealing the portion of her jumpsuit, the armor only now protecting the left side of her torso. The heroine attempts to hurl phantom blades through the opening with no luck. The knight captain lands on the ground and finally gives in to the exhaustion and goes into a kneel. "W-WE CAN'T JUST SIT HERE." she orders through her hindering pain. The large delta knight returns through the opening of the castle wall, unscathed, he pushes through the other knights and kneels with Sundar, "We follow your lead, commander." more knights emerge from the opening in the cobblestone floor that the human had seeped them under. The delta knight places his bold hand upon the cobblestone, the rest of the ranks stand on awaiting their orders from Sundar, within moments a green gleaming rune covers the cobblestone beneath them. Wounds disappear as though nothing had occurred. The heroine face, which was squinching from pain, relaxes and she closes her eyes clearly having been relieved of her burden. After a pause, which seemed like a century, Sundar speaks, "WE TAKE THE FIGHT TO THEM." The delta knight nods and stands, "We shall gather our army and strike before another creature like that can come forth." the knight instructs to his knight brothers and sisters. "Death to the humans!" the army outside the hall shouts announcing the proclamation of war to the rest of the nation.
I'm sure a few of you can probably calculate where most of my inspiration comes from, in any case, this is just the story leading toward the battle. We'd play as 'monsters' not humans, and all that jaaaaazzzz who is interested?
