A bit later than I promised, but here she is. If you need or want me to change anything, let me know.
Name: Meryl Emery
Callsign: Hammer
Age: 24
Species: Human
Appearance: Tall and with developing muscles, Meryl is not the picture of female beauty. She cuts her own brown hair into a short, jagged mess so it stays out of the way of her slate blue eyes. Casually she where’s loose and flowing clothes for maximum comfort.
Personality: Meryl is a person in transition. She used to be pretty shy and reserved so as to keep from interacting with anyone;they only wanted to talk about her disability anyway, but she’s starting to figure out how to actually talk to people and is becoming a lot more open.
Biography: Being born quadriplegic Meryl spent most of her time being cared for in some way by somebody. She hated every second of it. Often retreating into games of strategy so that whoever was taking care of her would have more to think about than every tiny thing that could be wrong with Meryl. It bothered her immensely that she could not move the pieces herself. When the notion of becoming a pilot came around her father warned Meryl off of it. Not knowing the true horror of it more than a small whiff, but still concerned for his only daughter. Meryl ignored this and recruited right away. The process was agonizing, but she never knew it would feel so good to stand on her own two legs.
Favors: Autonomy, personal pleasure, owning her own decisions.
Disfavors: Meat and animal products. Collective mentalities outside of military action.
Affinities: Back when Meryl was wheelchair bound she showed a knack for tactics and strategy if mostly in the games she played, which helped smooth out the overzealous nature of her attempts to become a pilot. Since then however Meryl has been spending a lot of time improving her own physicality and aim.
Faults: Impulsive and lacks self control. Meryl finally has control over their limbs and she’ll be damned if she’s not going to make the most of them. Even if that means she does things that will cause problems down the road.
Text Color: ed1c24
Theme Song: Optional, but it could give us more insight into the character. Up to you.
Name: Storm Exarch
Appearance: A draconic looking stout humanoid with an elongated face, long coiling tail and huge huge wings covered in thick copper colored scales from snout to the sinister looking spike at the end of its tail. Its arms are particularly large as they each carry one of the Storm Exarch's three internal cannons, though they can only be directly seen by way of the openings in the dragon's palms. The third one is mostly contained within Storm's body, but when it opens its jaws the barrel can be seen in the back of what would be its throat.
Personality: Storm Exarch is like a dog. Obedient, lazy, occasionally playful and prone to fits of loneliness.
Classification: Bishop
Capabilities: In the head and withing each arm Storm Exarch carries massive modal energy weapons capable of projecting energy projectiles in a variety of deadly formats. Most variations are good for mid range firefights, but it can also reach out over five miles away or form a sword and shield to fight in melee, which when paired with the spike on the end of its tail lets Storm Exarch hold its own up close. That said it is much more accurate at shooting and would prefer to be away from an enemy if at all possible. When its wings cannot carry itself fast enough into or away from a fight Storm carries a booster system on its back for a few bursts of speed. When being out of the way is not an option, the energy shield that can be projected from Storm Exarch's left arm is its primary defensive measure. It can outright stop weaker blows, but stronger attacks can still break through; if significantly reduced in kinetic energy.
Made a mech. Feel free to take it if you like. I'll try to get a character and stuff done before the weekend.

Do the dragons regenerate their own wounds over time or are they repaired? How long does it take to get one back into action. This is not a critical question to answer.
Sounds good. Hopefully the last questions. How fast are they? I'm sure there's quite a bit of variance in miles or kilometers per hour, but I also mean to ask about input delay. Are these sluggish machines that we need to predict ahead of time how they will need to move or do they act as quickly as we can?
So dragons would all be physically shaped as some conception of a dragon or are there more humanoid or otherwise varying body types?
Can someone crippled or disabled become a pilot? Would be neat to have someone who no matter what they have had to go through and what they will be forced to do in the future is fine so long as they have functioning limbs again or for the first time in their lives... and maybe regretting the mindset later.
No you cannot be part of another faction. That would kinda go against the whole point of this. Maybe if there were too many people interested I could have a second team for the enemy or something, but that is not the case.
Try to keep it under 30ft. You can keep it pretty general and relative about how durable, maneuverable and damaging it is. Existing mechas are pretty basic. Most of them are a frame with armor with cannons, swords and jumpjets. You are theoretically allowed to put anything on your mech as it is supposed to be testing a new system of some kind, but try to keep it to one thing. Energy weapons in general need not be that one thing. They do exist and you can just have them even though they are not "standard." Oh and you cannot fly in atmosphere unless your mech transforms into a jet, in which case it can fly in jet mode.
