DECEMBER IS HERE ALREADY?!

Welcome to the Guild, December! Or rather, welcome back to the Guild! If you have any questions involving the site that you need to ask to refresh your memory, don't hesitate to ask! Our friendly atmosphere hasn't changed a bit while you are gone! Otherwise, I hope that you enjoy the time you spend on here and find plenty of interesting Roleplays in the process.
Welcome to the Guild, Bug Devil!

Hopefully your name doesn't imply that there will be an invasion of giant spiders with wings on the website even if that would be extremely entertaining. Anyway, if you have any questions about the Guild, don't hesitate to "bug us" as we'd be more than happy to help you! Otherwise, I hope you enjoy the time you spend on here and find fantastic Roleplays in the process!

Whoops, fell asleep again. I need to stop staying up until 4 AM. Hopefully @CrazyShadowy was able to get a decent amount of sleep while I was sleeping myself.

Psychology is one of the fields I specialize in, but I've never heard of this. On my own end, I'm constantly suffering from headaches due to excessive exposure to light, but I've never really tried to work in the dark much because having the lights out causes the light of my PC to bother me even more.

Well if it makes you feel any better, I don't find you intimidating. Honestly, a lot of people find me rather intimidating too, just because I'm very forthright with direct with people -- apparently being confident in yourself and saying it like it is makes you automatically 'hostile' in this era. I've probably made far less effort to not offend people than you have.

You probably didn't hear my name there -- honestly, I doubt this person has ever even thought about me since it happened, but the way they behaved in the C-box really pissed me off and I did tell them off about it (this happened on my first week here). We've never had any contact since then, but some of their behaviour in a few posts on the site have been rubbing me the wrong way. I also have people trying to get me into Discord itself a lot, and frankly I find the program annoying so far. I'm only going to do it for my 'Guardian Ascension' discussion channel because Skype has too many issues. I completely agree with you about the view you just expressed towards socializing.

1.) Sorry I quoted you before you were able to edit your mistakes as I get that being a perfectionist myself.
2.) I don't know how true that Psychology claim is. Massachusetts teaches some odd stuff compared to other states, I hear.
3.) Are you sure they're active in my Discord? Anyone on there pretty much hates the CBox.
Insomnia is the cause, I'd love to try that combo but I have no yogurt, I could listen to the beats in turn. That might help, I ran out of my sleep stuff last night, have something that calms me but as a side effect makes me tired, I used that before and I could again. Probably should honestly.

I had insomnia for so many years of my life that I ended up developing an irrational fear that I'd never sleep again at one point and I can honestly say that Isochronic Beats have never failed me. Hot or warm baths are also wonderful for relaxing nerves and making a person tired. Also, I learned in Psychology class (disclaimer: I don't know how true this is), that people are affected by the light that hits their eyelids. The more you sit in darkness, the more tired you naturally get as your brain biologically determines.
Yup, just don't know how I'll sleep tonight, even if I use the other thing I have.

Are you struggling with sleeping? Yogurt and Isochronic binary beats have always helped me, so mayhaps it'd benefit you?

I can sort of get the vibe you're talking about, in terms of the 'regal'/'flowery' speech. On my end, I definitely come across more formal in text just because I'm not used to writing my exact way of talking; however, I want to change that since the main protagonist of my story is pretty much a complete avatar of me.

Also, I don't have anything against the Discord chat itself, but due to a very big regular of it (who also happens to be a very popular member of this site to the best of my knowledge) having had an incredibly bad first impression with me - which did not improve over time, honestly - I've avoided taking a look at it myself.

It's definitely something that not many people achieve, but then being able to make any relationship is difficult for most people.

Yes! I get told quite often that I seem "regal" and "intimidating" quite often. I added the "flowery" part myself, haha.

And huh, really? As the owner of the server, I can honestly say that I've never heard your name brought up before. And even if you were against it, I have no hard feelings towards that matter. I'm friends with plenty of people who hate the idea. I'm more traditional when it comes to socializing - I don't care where we chat or what we chat about, so long as it's interesting and meaningful.
@Cynder
I honestly haven't learned to properly portray my speech pattern over to text, so I end up sounding more formal than I really do.

Me and Ailyn met long before I joined RPGuild, although we did meet through role-playing forums. We've known each other for over five years.

I can relate to that first statement as well. I'm usually pretty formal when I speak and people often say that I have a "regal disposition" about me. I'm often terrified of offending people and I tend to find that as the owner of the Guild's Discord server, there are a quite a few who will act hostile towards me solely for that reason and the result is this nice "flowery" talks of sorts.

And that's incredible that you two met through Roleplaying! My former SO and I also knew each other through Roleplaying, but we weren't able to work it out like you two are doing.

Oh boy, a lot of people are talking now.

No problem at all -- I passed out too after a while. I've responded to your VM reply as well. I think this was another instance of me being sarcastic not coming across properly over text, since I didn't take offense to anything you said (though I wasn't joking about the whole 'I have lots of enemies thing' -- blame people not being able to take me saying it like it is I guess). It's good to meet you and add include you amongst my friends here.

Also, I see you've met Ailyn. She's my fiancé, just so you know. I think you're the only one I'm responding to in this post who doesn't know that, though I guess it depends on how extensively - if at all - you've looked through my user bio.

I'm fairly good at catching when people are or aren't being sarcastic, I'm just a little delayed in terms of thinking lately as a result of my sickness. I entirely understand where you are coming from with having "a lot of enemies" though. I also tend to make enemies, but for different reasons!

And, yes, we have met! Lucky you, getting your significant other on the Guild (or vice versa depending on how it went, haha).

I definitely agree on that one! I used to go to a really old high school that had a lot of asbestos in it. I'd get sick every couple of months with a cough that was so bad that I'd run out of breath and be out of class for a week at a time (one of my teachers was so paranoid about the asbestos, he'd keep the windows open during the winter!). After I graduated, bye bye sickness!

Anywhere with a large setting of people tend to be nasty from personal experience. Man, why can't humanity be more clean?!

Welcome to the Guild, LadySierra!

If you have any questions regarding the site, please don't hesitate to ask! We're all a very friendly bunch and are more than happy to assist. Otherwise, I hope you enjoy the time you spend on here and find plenty of great Roleplays in the process!
