Florence awoke the next morning, her eyes fluttering open as the sun peeked over the rooftop and made a yellow screen on her face. She wished she could sleep more, put her hand over her eyes and turn over and return to her wonderful slumber - but knew it was out of the question. She now had another person to consider and they had made plans that needed to be executed.

Groggily sitting up and wiping her eyes, she fetched the rest of her canned beef and began eating as she stood to her feet and took a few steps over to Michael who was still sound asleep. Gently, she nudged him with the toe of her boot, hoping he was a light sleeper. "Time to wake up. If we want to catch up with those survivors, we better get a move on."
The alarm clock buzzed, putting an end to the heavenly sleep Stevie Novak was in. She slammed her hand down on the alarm clock and woke up groggily. Like many other people, Stevie had taken the day off of work to stay home - only she had a different reason behind it. While overly paranoid citizens stayed home so they would be ready and secured for the purge, Stevie stayed home so she could be well rested for her own purging that night. Light was seeping through the blinds in her room, telling her that it was still daylight outside. She took a look at her clock and it was four hours before the purge would begin. This would give her just enough time to gather and prepare her weapons, make sure she had essential health kits, and put her in the right state of mind.

While others purged much like serial killers - no specific target in mind, killing only for the purpose to relieve stress - Stevie had her own reasons for participating and had her own methods. Up until the age of 17, she had not participated in the purge. However, once her entire family was taken from her during the purge of her senior year, she made it her duty from then onward to participate in the purge and stay those who preyed after innocent families. Sure, it was twisted, but she felt as if it was justified. Perhaps it was.

She made sure that all of her supplies was ready and she was prepared for what was to come. It was now two hours before the purge and she was ready.
Sorry, been really busy lately. I'll have a post up by tomorrow night at the latest.
Lancaster Render - The Swindler's Warehouse - Baylen Denney

Lancaster worked on his cigarette as he and Baylen drove to the warehouse. His nerves were only calmed slightly, as he was unsure what would be at the warehouse to meet them when they arrived. Part of him hoped the culprit was there so he could catch them and put an end to this. But another part of him was hoping they would arrive to find nothing, as whoever was doing this could be traveling in large numbers. He also feared that he might not be able to contain his anger and that his trigger itch would land him in a sticky situation.

Lancaster nodded, agreeing with Baylen's plan. He was good at talking things out and establishing plans. He just hoped this would go smoothly. He chuckled bitterly at Baylen's remark about the stealers getting stolen from. "I don't know, man," Lancaster said, keeping his tone low. "All I know is, whoever is trying to fuck with us, they're gonna wish they were never born." While Lancaster could be described as passive aggressive when it came to most things, things like this brought out the violent side of him.

Getting out of the car, Lancaster nodded in approval to Baylen before pulling the shiny pistol that had been tucked in his belt, and began to stalk along the right side of the warehouse. The air was rather bitter and the small bits of grass around the perimeter were rather damp but that didn't stop him. Lancaster was determined. As he scaled along the side of the warehouse, he noted indents in the damp grass, leading up to an area that the ground appeared to be covered with gravel. This definitely wasn't here a few days ago.

"Baylen!" Lancaster called out in a whisper, hoping that he wasn't too far on the left side, and that he would hear him.
I'm just waiting for the morning to come so I can make my next post, seeing as my character has gone to sleep :P
Hey, Heaven! I took a look through your pairings and a few that stood out to me were gang leader x gang leader and best friend x best friend. As you probably already know, I am female but I don't mind playing as a male :)

Wow, I never thought I'd see this on here haha. Way back in 2011, The Outsiders is what got me into roleplaying. I wouldn't mind returning to this, although I should probably mention the very thought of the typical "greaser girl" cliche infuriates me to oblivion. Not to mention the sheer rareness that a girl would be even accepted into a gang at this point in history. I was in the outsiders fandom for a good year or so - I saw some shit. But I'd be more than willing to RP this idea with you if the female greaser isn't a terrible cliche. You have the potential to make this unique and historically accurate :)

Now I am female but I wouldn't mind doubling up as male characters. From past RPs, I play as Ponyboy, Dally, and Two Bit the best, but I can give Soda my best shot. What do you say?

I don't think caring for a frickin' horse in a zombie apocalypse is a viable option

It was just a suggestion...And I've seen at least two zombie apocalypse fictions where they use horses.
I feel like a year would be more ideal for what we originally had planned. But who knows. But traveling across states by car would be challenging, seeing as we've already established the danger with high ways. I'd assume a lot of us would have to travel by foot or horseback, or some other alternative like biking. Either way, those are relatively slow ways to travel, assuming you have to find your own path ways and stay clear of roads and high ways.
