Everything was going to plan, she's been following the raiders' patrol pattern, just had to wait for the next lap and----.

"You have got to be kidding me."

She looks turns around to see the man from earlier who was talking to the guards. Clearly she couldn't take him out herself especially in her current condition. Still not sure about his motives, she remains silent and begins crawling through the hole she made from the propped fence. With a few scratches she manages to make it through. She looks back at the man, and starts to pull the gated fence farther away to make enough room for him to crawl through.
"Prove it." she mumbles, not budging from her position.

Lindsey observed the conversation between the man and the two raiders, getting worried when they kept pointing the barrel towards him. Then her concern turned into question as he started to talk into the walkie talkie. Next thing I know, the basketball is thrown over the fence and he hands it to the girl. As he begins to approach Lindsey, she becomes more frightened, maybe it was a bad idea to untie this man if he can get the guards to do what he wants. Maybe he wasn't a prisoner at all, but just a mole, what exactly did he tell them, did he tell them that she was digging a hole this entire time? All she knows is that she can't trust him completely. She whispers a simple phrase.

"Leave me alone."

Then turns around and lies on the pavement. No one can be trusted, she's all alone like usual.
She remained silent, as she slowly turns around. Revealing the blood and dirty on her fingers. The man is telling the truth and she begins to shuffle towards him, it took some time to loosen the ropes, it would have been easier if she had her knives but the raiders confiscated them upon abducting her. Finally the rope drops to the floor, and she scoots back letting the man stretch out his arms. Cautiously keeping an eye on him.

Marcus leads them through a trail, back onto the main road heading towards the fairgrounds. What seems like 30 minutes, he looks at gas gauge and realize he's running low. He turns back towards the duo and extends his hand with his palm facing out to tell them he's stopping, and not a moment too soon. As he looks at what seems to be a warzone, trenches dug deep into the ground, filled with zombies trying to crawl out but fail too. As he looks farther out he notices a huge fortress with wooden spikes, and a massive medieval like castle.

"What the fuck?"

End of Scenario 5

How could this have happened? She was careful at every step, she didn't think she was getting complacent, she had everything she needed to survive the next few weeks before going out to find more food. She didn't think of the fact that people out there would be gathering folks up and using them as slaves, as if avoiding biters wasn't enough. Now she's dealing with raiders, men and women going around and creating a new world over. It's sad really, but for her to get caught and end up in this prison is enough to make her skin crawl.

The days begin to combine as she loses track on how long she's been in this hell hole. It's been a regular routine, she gets a rude awakening of getting kicked in the ribs, spat on or one of the men groping her, goes out and helps reinforce the walls or kill biters, if she does good she gets food or water, never both, or none at all. Then she would be the men's entertainment for the night, and then get thrown back into her cell. Then for the final part of the day, where she constantly digs, it wasn't her intention to dig her way out, it sort of started that way. One moment she was doodling on the ground trying to keep herself amused, next thing she realizes that they don't pay enough attention to her to know what's she doing. Every night she would wait for them to walk away from patrol in her area and she would begin digging, even in the early mornings she would do it, when they assume she was still asleep. She would use the loose grass, leaves and hay that's around the area to conceal her work, and when the coast was clear she would continue her efforts of escaping. She would check her progress to see if she can squeeze under and make her escape, today was looking like her chance. Just a few more inches in diameter and she will be set. Until she heard someone calling her name that is and she froze in fear and slumped to the ground beginning to conceal her work, reaching through the holes of the fence to grab the loose hay and grass. Hoping they don't catch on.
"What kind of remedial----Wait a minute, you were in Chicago? What the hell are you two doing so far south in Vermilion County then?"

Marcus looks at both of them as if they were crazy, they were near salvation, just had to look for the big tower in the sky, but somehow they made a wrong turn and ended up 10 miles outside of Danville, Illinois. This news staggered him so much he didn't know what to do, if he stuck with them he would probably end up dead. If he left them here they would die and he would probably live, but it's not like him to leave people who saved his life alone to die for his own selfish gains, no matter how much they lack in navigating.

"When was the last time you were in Chicago?"

Before he could hear the answer, the familiar sound of Zed could be heard and the sun finally hides behind the trees.

"No time to answer now, let's go."

Marcus grabs his valuables, packs his satchel and hops on his bike and starts it up. He wheelies off towards a new dirt road, looking back hoping the two follow."

"Same here, been taking my time however, no matter where you go that you think is good enough to call home they'll find a way to breach it you know. Just a matter of time before that place gets taken over too. I'm surprised you guys didn't try to hit up a prison or something in the west coast, I figured the Eastern State Penitentiary would have held up nicely against Zed."

Marcus grabs some of his rations and consumes a mouthful. As he quietly chews, he reaches over for his canteen and takes another swig of water from it. With a satisfying gulp and grunt, he looks over at Haleigh, eyeing where she put the blowtorch away. That could come in handy, no, no he's not going to steal it from her. Do not what the others did to him in the past, as a matter of fact he realized he never gave his name. Who cares if they manage to reach Black Mountain alongside him he'll tell it to them then.

"So do you two know how to get to Black Mountain from here?"
They seem trustworthy and smart. At least the girl. Marcus silently shakes his hand and reaches for his satchel, and opens it up. Offering them some of his rations, his canteen of water after he takes a swig, and an assortment of medicine.

"It's not much, but a good deed shouldn't go unrewarded. You didn't have to save me."

Marcus sits down near his bike, pulling out a map from his bag as well. Managing to trace the route from where they came. Although the sunlight is minimum he can make out that they are near Vermillion County. Not too far from Black Mountain, a day of riding maybe.

"So, where are you two from?"

Marcus leads the two into a meadow bringing his bike to a halt. As he parks it and hops off, he extends his hand towards the man.
