Henry "Harry" Alexander Addelson
47
Republican
Ohio
Biography:
Harry was part of the Rust Belt Rise that accompanied President Trump to his victory. Sitting as a Congressman at Ohio's 11th congressional seat, he ran on a populist, pro-industry, anti-free trade ticket. Speaking highly to the disenfranchised masses in Cleveland and Akron, he was elected in an upset victory over the long entrenched Democrat incumbent.
A relatively young and new face, he leads (nor is actually a part of) any particular caucus. However, a known firebrand, he is increasingly finding himself a speaker for those congressional seats, from Iowa to Indiana, from West Virginia to New York, whom have been hit hard by the loss of industry due to NAFTA.
Hoping to ride the waves of Trump and get together a rough, grassroot caucus (a la the Tea Party c.2008), Harry is more than a nuisance to older GOP grandees and neoconservatives.
Personal information:
Harry is a life long bachelor, and has served as the Legal Council for a series of unions and businesses (although the unions primarily in his youth). He got his joint J.D. and MLR in 1993, where he began to work for Local 313 of the Teamster Union. Growing incredibly disillusioned by the state of Ohio's legislation regarding unions (and the money), he switched to work for the city of Cleveland as a legal advisor in 1999. He quit his job and joined politics in 2015 during the beginning of the anti-free trade movement, and rode it to his current seat (which he won via bielection).
Positions:
Union Lawyer (1993-1999)
City of Cleveland Legal Council (1999-2015)
US Congressman (2016-Present)
