@DarkwolfX37 I've gotta change my mind after reading your post, I agree that it doesn't make sense for the forcefield to be able to go throughost multiple dimensions, etc. However maybe instead of a physical collar we should go with @Dusksong's idea of implants. It's also more logical. A government tries to spend as little money as possible, so if they just have implants all they need to do is make the chip, and then we could have a hand-puncturing device like in Futurama? So the implants is in their hand, a safe area and a quick procedure. And they could all get their implants in tomorrow morning, or tonight or whutever.

Makes more sense than them making the chip, buying materials for a collar that can fit everyone and is secure, and then either grafting it to everyone or also rigging it to explode if it's taken off. They could just make the chip and stick it in no hassle.

I don't care either way what the serial numbers stand for, but I like the idea of then representing something rather than just being random. :>

What do you think on the forcefield vs collar vs implant thing, @SecretlyDiscord?

@Mr Allen J I've heard those can be pretty fun. ;>

@Dusksong Awe, I was gonna have Marlowe talk time her in my next post. I'll go read it now. :B
@SecretlyDiscord I like that idea for the collars. :> And sleep well!

I'mma start on my post, but I never ended up being able to sleep after waking up at 6 am last night yesterday morning, so I dunno if I'm gonna have the brain power right now. We'll see.
@Witch CatA post limit is a good idea. In any group roleplay it's good to not have one person posting without the others. I know Discord said she wanted one-on-one interactions to be kept to a minimum (she said each character can post twice and then you move into PM's if necessary), but since we're still in the first day and we're waiting on three more people to get their first post in before we have the story line move, I'm guilty of posting a lot, haha. (sheepish smile) Once the plot actually starts moving I definitely agree with you.

But I think if it's a one-on-one conversation it should be a little different. I think they can ignore the "waiting for two other people to post"-thing, as long as they stick to the 2-posts-each limit that Discord mentioned before. Otherwise short conversations end up taking forever, especially if people aren't posting every day.

Overall, I think @SecretlyDiscord should be in charge of deciding the exact terms of the post limit. Since she's in charge of the thing.

@SheriffLlama I'm fine with or without a header. Could be nice to have the character names since we're having a more people join, but I don't really like having pictures at the top of every post. They take up a lot of space and they're kinda distracting to me. :B But if everyone else wants to have them, it's no biggie!
I like the idea of the forcefield messing with their powers, too. The bomb collars seem kinda unnecessary.
Sounds good to me. And we could always change it so that we don't need to have the bomb collars in this version of the RP. I'd be fine both ways, but they don't sound super necessary, so whatever everyone else wants to do.
@SecretlyDiscord In the Student Life Guide section it says, "You will wear your uniform at all times and answer to your serial number." and that everyone wears bomb-collars. So I thought they had to have them, but I don't care either way.

And maybe I will make a guy. I haven't decided if I just wanna focus on the one character or not yet... Hmm... -3-
@Treue Someone agrees with me, yay! :0 Either way I think it'll be good. If the characters are actively training I think it would be fun to have it be group training since it works best with the group roleplay style by making us interact more. Plus we'd be developing our abilities at the same time. Private training would make it hard for us to develop character relationships so we'd need something else as a motivator, and the battling thing would be interesting but it might be difficult for some of our abilities (like what is Marlowe gonna do? Make 'em sneeze while they're trying to attack her?). Although it could also encourage them to get better with their powers a lot faster and it would be a huge motivator for getting outta there as soon as possible (if Vincent had to fight Margaret he'd be finding a way out hella fast.).

Buut those are just my thoughts on it, they'd all be fun in their own way. And if we're not actively training it would be interesting to see how to story moves with the focus not being on their powers initially.
@SecretlyDiscord First of all, I love that creepy little deer. He's wonderful.
(ahem)
I had a feeling that was going to happen since we got so many new people. Now we have a lot of girl characters, makes me wanna make a dude... hmm. 030

And as far as the plot goes, I dunno yet (Gosh, I'm so helpful. What would you do without me?). I kinda want to see what life is like in the facility before trying to decide how they're going to overcome it, I guess. Speaking of life in the facility, what sort of stuff is going to be going down? I know they're supposed to be learning to use their abilities, so are they going to actively force them to train or is it more like they're stuck in there until they're deemed beneficial to society (Kinda like a psych ward where they're essentially stuck there forever because no one's going to believe they're sane, or in this case, more usefull than they are dangerous)? And if they are training, what sort of stuff will they be doing? Is it training by themselves, as a group, or even against each other? Or does it just depend on the kinda powers they have? And have the characters been giving their bomb collars or serial numbers yet (do we just make up their serial numbers? If so, should we add it into our CS?)?

It's nine am here and for some reason I woke up three hours ago and can't get back to sleep, so excuse me if I'm rambling. I like to ask lots of questions. :B
Marlowe Tolfell

Marlowe didn't know how to respond, but she knew she had to say something. Living underground was one of those bizarre experiences that people just couldn't wrap their heads around unless they'd experienced it first hand. Marlowe wasn't going to sit there and pretend that she had any idea of what it was like. She could tell by the look on his face that it wasn't exactly a pleasant experience and she wondered briefly if it was living underground, or the adjustment to regular society, that was the most challenging. Marlowe was surprised that he had told her about it. It was probably in light of their new circumstances, 'everyone has to stick together', or something like that. She didn't mind.

"Why did you leave?" Marlowe asked, chomping on her lip again. She wasn't good at being comforting and she didn't think that was what he was looking for. Things like, 'I'm sorry,' didn't mean much.

Marlowe always blurted out the first thing that sounded okay. Right now she was unusually aware of what she was saying, in part due to the sensitive nature of the subject, but mostly because she was so on edge herself. These last 24+ hours had been very taxing. She was trying to think of something better, but the more she thought about it the more awkward everything sounded.

"You must've had a really hard time." She tried.

It was the best her and her sloppy social skills could manage. She followed it with a stiff smile but quickly let it drop. She just didn't have the energy. Marlowe respected his ability to do what he had to in order to survive. She was lucky she hadn't been through that sort of thing, although testing positive wasn't exactly synonymous for a happy future. She wondered what was going to happen to them next. Was this it for the rest of the night? They hadn't said anything, but they'd been in there for long enough that she assumed they wouldn't be doing anything else for the day. She corrected herself quickly: it was dangerous to surmise anything in here. She wouldn't relax just yet. She was nervous about what life would be like here, people never talked about it, they didn't care. The residents were all labeled monsters so humane treatment wasn't an issue. To the public, there was almost no knowledge of what went on in Training and Education Facilities. What a scary thought.

Marlowe brought her attention back to, erm, the boy in front of her? It was weird, she knew something personal about him but she didn't know his name. Now was as good a time as ever.

"Marlowe," She blurted, almost suddenly. "My name is Marlowe, what's yours?" Her cheeks went warm, she was embarrassing herself again.

Overhead, a conversation was sparking. An exchange of shirts and names brought her back to the room of 40 when she'd only been focused on two: herself and the nameless boy. Looking around quite a few others had started to mingle but many were still scared and by themselves. It was about 50/50, if she were to guess. Marlowe was used to being alone and even she was clinging to her conversation with a stranger; she'd be too anxious by herself right now. She couldn't imagine how isolating it would feel if someone wasn't used to being alone.

"Were you two together before?" She asked, gesturing to the girl on the bed above him with a nod of her head, and started chewing on her lip again.

Speaking of chewing... her stomach growled quietly as she thought about the last thing she ate. Breakfast before the test, eggs and toast. At the time it hadn't been anything special but now she was regretting not enjoying it more. She wondered when they were going to get to eat next.
Yessss, new people! c: I was gone for a day and a half and we've suddenly got two more posts and three more characters on the way.

@Treue Thanks! Yeah, I think she'll be fun to play around with in the future.

@SecretlyDiscord Sweet! I've started working on my reply already, but I'm not done. Are you going to be having story-line progress in your next post or just responding to the current dialogue-scene kinda stuff? Just debating whether I should hold off on finishing until you've posted or not.
