I thought her reaction was pretty normal seeing as she's met a talking red panda lol
Staz was sautéing some meat when he heard the other chefs talking amongst themselves about a girl that suddenly appeared at the station. None of them knew where she came from nor who she was. They noted that her ship resembled a pirate's vessel and yet, there were no reports nor any bounties of a girl that looked like her. Curious, he quickly finished cutting up the meat and slid it into a pot before stepping down from the step stool he stood on and rushed over towards a group of men that were peeking out the door that led to the cafeteria. "Who is that? Is she the daughter of someone important?" Staz questioned, attempting to get a view but couldn't due to the men being in the way.

"We dunno. She just showed up outta nowhere and now she's demanding food. Someone go out there and ask her why she's here. She may as well be a pirate. They said that her ship wasn't a navy ship, right? So she's gotta be an enemy." One of the chefs, a large man with a short white beard proclaimed. The other men shouted in agreement and they were about to stomp out the door before Staz managed to get in front of them and held out a paw.

"I'll do it. If you guys do it, you'll end up scaring her. If she's here on business, then you'll get us in trouble." Staz said. The other men paused in their tracks and they watched the red panda walk over towards a table where pitchers of icy water were being kept. Using his strength, he climbed up onto the table, took a pitcher and slid down. Then, he proceeded out the door and used his tail to shut it behind him. He then made his way towards the girl and when he arrived, he hopped onto the empty chair across from her and then up onto the table. Pouring water into her empty glass, he smiled at her, "Did you decide what you wanted to order? Everything here is made to perfection, so if you don't like it, you don't have to give us a tip." he chuckled nervously.
It had been a couple of months since Ellie and Joel returned to Tommy's settlement in Jackson County. The settlement had become richer thanks to the electricity coming from the dam located nearby and families were growing in size. A giant wall with barbed wire on the top surrounded the entire settlement, thus trapping the inhabitants like animals and keeping any infected out. No signs of infected had been reported since Ellie and Joel's return and everyone would love to crowd around them and listen to their adventures. None of them, however, were told about how Ellie's condition could amount to a cure. If they knew that, they would force her to return to the hospital and sacrifice her life for a cure. Of course, Ellie didn't know that either thanks to Joel.

One of the inhabitants that listened to their stories was a young woman in her early twenties named Jessica. Jessica could not remember a life before the infected, but from what both Joel and Tommy said about it, it sounded like heaven. Hearing that Ellie was immune, however, struck a cord for her. She too was immune from both the infected and from any spores. Jessica too had a bite from the infected on her right ankle that she received before coming to the settlement and yet, she never turned. She too was special like Ellie. She could help the world by being a cure for this inhumane disease. She didn't dare tell anyone, however. Having two immune girls could cause even more problems. Instead, she kept it a secret and would plan to eventually leave the settlement to find the hospital where Ellie and Joel were.

That morning was quite foggy and chilly, which kept everyone in their homes instead of heading outside. Jessica, however, was sitting on the steps to a storage house where extra supplies were being kept. A small group of dogs were sitting by her feet and Jessica would take turns rubbing behind their ears, "How come those damn infected go after us, but not you dogs? It's unfair, I tell yah." Jessica mumbled as she continued to pet and scratch the dogs.
I'm probably not going to post my character's bio here, so enjoy this puppy instead:

It had been years since Monkey D. Luffy and his crew found the sacred One Piece and Luffy became the new King of the Pirates. Both him and his crew had been dead for years and the One Piece was hidden once again. Though the Pirate Age that they lived through was over, a new one had been born. Eager pirates of different shapes, sizes, ages and abilities set out once again for the chance to become the King of the Pirates. In order to find the One Piece, these pirates will have to venture through the dangerous Grand Line, a place that only Gold D. Roger and Monkey D. Luffy have conquered. Trying to stop these pirates, the World Government has long since expanded and gained strength both in numbers and in ability. In order to try to stop these pirates, various navy stations have been set up in both the Grand Line and in all four oceans; North Blue, South Blue, East Blue and the West Blue.

One of these stations was a gigantic ship that was docked in between Water 7 and Enies Lobby. The ship itself was about the width of a small island and stood as tall as at least twenty elephants that were standing on top of one another. The World Government's flag proudly flew outside the magnificent ship and in all corners of it as well. Guards were positioned all along the ship's exterior as well as its interior, though their forces were not prepared to take in extremely strong pirates. This base's job was to prevent weaker, amateur pirates from advancing forward in the Grand Line.

Working in this ship was a young red panda named Staz. He was the head chef of the ship's kitchen and he was in charge of ordering the other chefs around and preparing the more complicated meals. He had been in the ship for years and not once had he seen a pirate invasion. He was taught by the older men that pirates were evil and they were trying to destroy the peace of the world. Staz didn't know whether he should believe this fact without seeing a pirate for himself, but he doubted that a cook would ever be able to see one when he was slaving away in the kitchen, his home, all day. The kitchen had no windows, so he couldn't see the outside world though he wished that he could. He was unaware about any attacks unless they were announced on the loud speakers and yet, he wished he could do something about it. I wanna be helpful too, but not just in the kitchen. I love being a chef, but I wanna help my shipmates in other ways. Staz thought to himself while he was cutting up tomatoes. Letting out a loud sigh, he dismissed the thought and continued with his cutting.
Just gonna post my characters here in case I need to refer back to them.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. Ame will eventually ask Lily to join her team and thus will make her stronger in the long run.

It's fine. Once school starts for me, I'll be a little bit slower too.
Up
Growl was the first to notice Lily and he had to bite his tongue to restrain himself from spewing out a rude comment. He had heard from Ame that the two of them were best friends as children despite their fathers downright hating one another. For some reason, the two of them drifted apart once they hit their teens and now they almost seemed like strangers. The cat knew that unlike Ame and the other guildmembers her age, Lily was pathetic and had little to no magic abilities whatsoever. He wondered how the guildmaster even allowed her to stay if she contributed almost nothing to the prosperity of the guild. "Ame's busy trying to find a job for us. Now buzz off!" the cat hissed.

Ame heard Growl's rude comment and she turned her back to the board. Seeing Lily always made her smile and she used her foot to nudge Growl away, "Don't listen to him. He's always grumpy in the morning." She told her. Even if the two were essentially no longer friends, Ame still liked Lily. They would always play as children and she was the first person that she ever showed her ice and water magic too. It was even enjoyable for the two of them to watch their fathers argue and fight each other using their wickedly powerful magic. But all of that was in the past and that hurt the girl a little bit each time she saw Lily, "I'm doing good. Growl and I are about to go out on a job. We just gotta find one that'll get us a lot of Jewels." She told her before spinning back towards the board.

Her finger moved across the board before firmly pressing against a sheet of paper, "There! We'll do this one!" Ame carelessly ripped the paper off the board and showed it off to Growl and Lily. The job was to capture an escaped convict who was known for murdering wizards all across Fiore. On the bottom of the paper read a glorious 2,000,000 Jewel reward for his capture, "This is perfect for us, though we'll need a little bit of help." Ame peered over at Lily, "Would you like to come with us? Once we get him, we can split the money so you can have some too. Your mom and dad'll be so amazed when they see that you got 1,000,000 Jewels for completing a job! I know mine will. So, what do you say? You in?"
Exactly. It's not like I was going to do it anyway. Oh and I love how Lily is really pathetic despite having Natsu as her dad lol
