Sex: Female

Weapon: Guan Dao (chinese halberd) with ornate runes on the pole, and a steel blade. Approximately seven and a half feet long.

Skills/Aura Type: Possesses exceptional mastery over halberds, glaives, and other pointy things on sticks. Amaranth classifies her aura simply as "Pulse" or "Kinetic". To explain, the Pulse aura concerns primarily the use of kinetic shockwaves and manipulation thereof to create defensive barriers in order to deflect attacks or create offensive shockwaves to disorient, and sometimes injure opponents. Amaranth uses it primarily for defensive purposes, as her guan dao will suffice for combat.

Age: 19

Appearance: Short, boyish hair dyed white (naturally brown) and hazel-green eyes. Light complexion and moderately tan skin, especially on the arms. Often time wears a plain, white dress with jeans or similar pants under it, with or without a vest on top. Opts to wear a straw hat on some sunny days. Chooses to go barefoot on most surfaces, and as a result, her feet are heavily calloused. She's on the taller side, standing at six foot three.

Personality/Description: Lighthearted and optimistic, Amaranth often treats life like a game, but hates competition. She believes heavily in luck and karma, and often tends to look at the bright side of things a little too much. She does her best to help others out with whatever task they need, and as a result, can make an extremely helpful and loyal friend. Often times, she avoids decisions or gives an ambiguous answer such as, "do whatever works for you" or "fine by me". When others make decisions, she is extremely accommodating and seeks to make sure others are happy or satisfied even when she is not. When pressed, she is indecisive and anxious, unable to come to a fast conclusion. Normally, she is super chill or calm, for lack of a better term, and the opposite of talkative or dramatic. However, she has an extremely strong spirit and morale, and even in the most adverse conditions, is always that person that says it isn't so bad. However, sometimes she can seem insensitive, as she tries to hold back any sadness or anger. In the rare event Amaranth is angry, it is difficult for her to reason, and she does things before considering the consequences. In battle or at works, she tends to stay silent and concentrate on the task at hand, sometimes ignoring others or the outside world.

Not sure if the whole kinetic aura thing is fine with you, if not I'd be happy to change it to something else.
I could also have my character be female, help balance things out if that's what you're going for.
Also interested, but you don't have to save me a spot. I should have something up within the next few days if I'm not lazy, haha.
I get that this is supposed to be a slower paced RP, but a week between IC posts is a bit much. If you can't post something for a while, please come into the OOC and let everyone know. It helps, thanks.
So uh... any more IC posts? Been a while since someone last posted
Posted something.
Art grumbled loudly, his displeasure echoing through the dim stairwell. He had recently moved to the city in order to go to the college located downtown. Renting out a small apartment, he hadn't hired movers, opting to rent a truck instead. However, moving all the boxes of stuff he had brought proved to be a challenge. A dull pain in his back had stayed with him for the past three days, and it didn't make moving all the boxes to the second floor any easier. Fortunately, he was nearing the end of them. Moments later, his gripped slipped, and a box full of rather heavy books slammed on his toe, and he swore loudly, his voice heard throughout the entire stairwell. He paused slightly, Reaching down to pick up the fallen box, he looked up and down the stairwell to see if anyone had noticed. The dull pain had intensified into something greater, more intense as he carried the box up another flight of stairs.

He wiped a drop of sweat off his brow as he set down the last of the boxes in the kitchen of his apartment.

"Should've asked someone to help," he muttered, stretching his arms and back.
A throbbing pain had unexpectedly found its way into Art's back about a day before his departure. He had had some help from his parents back in Chicago in loading the boxes into the U-Haul, so it wasn't from that. Nonetheless, the car ride to the city wasn't the most pleasant, but it wasn't as bad as it was now. Glancing at the boxes again, he sighed and shook his head.

"I'll unpack them later" he said to himself, sitting down on the couch and getting his phone out.

The dull ache in his back remained, but it had since abated. Making a mental note to have a doctor check it out, he wrested a pamphlet he was given by the clerk at town hall out of his rather covetous pocket. On one page, there was a link to a website that was supposedly the city forum. The same clerk that had given him the pamphlet had told him about the forum, saying it was "a good place to meet people or look at fun things" and proceeded to tell him about an unfortunate soul that had gotten a some minor injuries from a corgi and posted it on one of the boards. Arturo simply shrugged and thanked the woman, but now he was curious. He got his phone out of his pocket and started to look at the forums, spending the rest of the day on the same couch.
Do not worry! I have ideas and less work to do! I will have something up tomorrow or Friday.
I'll have something up this week, probably tomorrow.
Name: Arturo Castiglione

Sex: Male

Age: 19

Appearance:

Personality: He's confident most of the time, and often kind of a daredevil. However, he can get irritated easily, and is sometimes stubborn or lazy. He is fairly loyal, however, and will do (almost) anything to support you, given that you ask for it.
Bio: He was born during a rather tense situation in his family, involving a frequently traveling father and a mother who was fed up with it. In the first year of his life, his mother divorced his father and settled down in Chicago, Illinois, on the northwest side. He grew up in considerable normality, but he developed a case of kleptomania, which often got him into trouble. His mother was not particularly angry, but she was irritated when it kept happening. When he grew out of it (maybe it wasn't kleptomania and just mischief), he continued his elementary and high school education.

Relations: Mother, Father (sometimes). None of his high school friends kept in touch and he's not in college yet.

Fears: Caves, flying, and heights.

Back Ache: Raaaaandomly assigned!
