Been here on the guild since April '08, seen a lot of change but still love it. I've been on and off, I've GM'd fantastic projects and train-wrecks, it all comes with the territory. I once tried to make a YouTube ad for the guild because I'm slightly insane. In a weird place with the Guild right now, seems like so many names I knew are gone, but more than happy and ready to meet new people. Been writing casually for over a decade, a lot of that practice has been here. I have some small short sci-fi stories printed in anthologies but those are so heavily edited they don't even feel like mine any more.
When not on the Guild I'm most likely working, playing FFXIV or the Souls series or (insert recent must play video game).
Anyone with a passing interest in sci fi needs to read Saga by Brian K Vaughan.

The setting is hard sci fi but of course I'm open to leniency for plot's sake and I'm open to ideas, as always 
I'm also loosely saying this is set in my Free State setting. Two reasons; it needs some rework in its written form and I'd like to leave this open to player input on a large scale. I'd love to add this story to it's every growing canon.
Basic setting details will be included: History, races, culture, tech etc all of which I'll be more than happy to have you guys contribute to.
Alternatively, all of the Free States info is archived on a wiki section from another RP, the first one in fact, that I used it in. It's a little outdated but I could link it for perusal at your leisure?

Well, I personally wouldn't mind you staying on in the slightest. I personally enjoyed your sheet, even if it did make me worry about my own sheet paling in comparison when I get around to writing it up. :D
I participated and GMed every level and type of RP. Do not think you're work is invalidated by comparison to somebody else's. Honestly, be proud and if you do feel you want to improve then think it in a positive manner. I'm sure you'll produce something great :)

I've been super tetchy lately. I returned to the guild to blow off steam and this was literally my first thread posting in again. It just felt like my work, style and opinion were being lambasted right out the gate. I realize I may have spoken rashly earlier and took things out of context and would like to apologise for my misinterpretation. I am indeed intending on GMing another RP but not with the intention of conflicting , but if you'll still have me I'd like to remain here also.
In fact I'll start working up an intro right now, if people hook onto that I'll start broadening the scope to give context of the full Free State.
For first thing I'm thinking of using The Free State as a setting. It's a libertarian amalgamation of races, companies, ideals all held together by common purpose and philosophy. The intrigue could take a number of forms. One I'm thinking of is corporate warfare with us playing mercs, spies etc. I have a decent plot worked out that I think could extend into a really fleshed out RP. I'm aiming for equal parts suspense, action and of course humour.
