"...." His superior was silent. Maybe I'll try another time Luke thought as they approached the village. On the way there, the light from the fire had been getting smaller and smaller, the smoke no longer breaching the clouds in the atmosphere. The locals put it out pretty fast. The people of Sord couldn't possibly take it out that fast with only buckets of water. Unless an Undine user was awake during the incident. Luke began to ponder on why someone would attack a Sect temple. The death of his father made him want revenge, but he couldn't do something like attacking a temple. That's not something he would want. I only need to find out why...find the Truth.. "I'm going ahead." Luke said and brought his hood down so he wouldn't look suspicious.

Quickly running through the small buildings, Luke halted on a nearby rooftop. There were a small group of people by the temple remains and also a masked figure running towards the situation. Couldn't have been him. Luke thought as he took in his surroundings. Why would the arsonist run back towards the temple? Well, the culprit always returns to the crime scene. There was also two knights approaching the small group of people. He couldn't help but get involved, the situation was very interesting to him. Luke brought his cloak up and leaped from the rooftop and landed in an alleyway nearby. I shouldn't let them know I'm a Zenterr knight. Being in Sord and all. As Luke approached the group, with his hood down to not raise suspicions, and listened to what the knights were saying to them. Now that the local law enforcement are involved it probably wouldn't be best to get involved. However, he was already walking towards them and would look stupid to just walk away.

Overhearing their conversation, Luke could tell they were having some difficulty with having the knights to leave. He quickly came up with a statement to have them leave. "Yes! We need to find the person responsible for this tragedy!" The red-haired boy did his all to make a convincing face. "Can't you see they're putting out the fire? It couldn't have been them!" He wasn't giving the authorities any time to speak. He hoped to convince them to go search for the arsonist. "There are two of you, so you guys could split up and look for the man responsible."
Luke and Seth also have to reach the scene and we'll probably go to the inn as well
Maybe it wasn't a good idea to shout... Luke thought as he was scolded by his Crimson Eagle partner. I'm starting to make our division look bad. Maybe I should get closer to Seth? The man started to walk and Luke quickly walked up with him. "Sorry. I'll be more careful next time." Luke said with a slightly sad tone. "Actually, there won't be a next time." He started to cheer himself up.

"So....." Luke tried to make conversation. They were almost to their destination, the flames on the building looked serious from their point of view. "...how long have you been with the military?" Luke wanted to be close with his partner. After leaving all his military friends in Zenterr, it would be best to make new ones on his current journey. "If you don't mind me asking." He didn't want to be a bother to the man. After-all, he had already left a bad first impression on the man.
Posted, and I did a recolor of my character with my (horrible) photoshop skills haha Lucas "Luke" Flamberg
Just wanted him to look more to my liking.
Ugh where did he go? Lucas thought while cracking his neck. It was dark out and the only light he had was a lantern tied around his waist. He had on a red cloak that covered him completely and also had his hood on. As the moon hid behind clouds, the fire inside the lantern began to die out and he could barely see his surroundings. "Oh come on." Luke murmured. "This is the second time so far..." He reached for the lantern around his waist and began to loosen the strap. He brought the lantern up with his left and put his right index finger inside of it. After a deep breath, Luke concentrated some of his energy into his finger. The back of his clothes began to light up, for his Fire Thauma was engraved on his back and lit up at the use of his fire magic. His finger shot a flame that filled up the lantern and eliminated the dark that surrounded him for a few yards.

In that instant of lighting the lantern, Luke could see the remains of a dead beast laying by a tall tree. I think I'm going the right way. Luke thought as he approached the dead monster. When he got closer he could only see more dead bodies behind the tree. Yeah, this is definitely the right way. He brought a faint smile to his face from the thought. He stopped to observe the dead monsters and looked around to see if there were anymore left. The beasts' had wounds that showed that they were impaled by some sort of spear while also having slashes in fatal areas. Luke got up and began to tie the lantern back around his waist.

Well.....Now to find the killer. What was his name again?

Lucas had joined the Zenterr military in his teenage years and quickly rose the ranks with his outstanding skill and quick thinking. Of course, he had to change his name so that he wouldn't be compared to his dead father who was also part of the Zenterr military. His hard work had earned him a promotion to the Crimson Eagle division which he had joined only a month ago. Other knights don't think he belongs in such high ranks due to his young age, but they quickly accept it after seeing his skill and ability to follow orders. This was his first mission as a Crimson Eagle and he had already lost his selected partner on the field.

So much for a first impression.. Luke had finished walking over the dead monsters in his way and noticed more then just clouds in the sky. Past all the trees in front of him, was a small light with smoke going into the clouds above. Also, in the same direction, Luke could see a silhouette of a man with some sort of pole-arm. He watched as the man did a fancy trick with his weapon, causing it to become smaller and then hiding it. The man was hooded, like himself, and seeing him could only remind him of who he was looking for.

"Hey!" Luke said loud enough hopefully for the man to here, but not to bring any unwanted attention. He began to jog towards him, making sure the lantern was tightly fastened on his waist while also keeping his weapon secretly hidden in case this man wasn't who he expected it to be. Luke caught up to the man while letting out a few breaths from the light jog. "Sorry about that. I was....caught up in something." he explained, hoping not to be scolded by his superior.
My character will be similar to Luke from Abyss and Asbel from Graces and Graces f

Bio: Lucas grew up in a small village on the outskirts of Zenterr where he was raised by only his mother and was given his Thaumae by the local priests. He lived a happy life, getting good grades in school and making friends. He didn't know much about his father, but he sometimes came to the village to teach his son how to protect himself. His father was a high ranking military officer who worked to protect the Sect of Maxwell (I'll call is SoM) and it's secrets. However, his father had gotten too close to what the SoM was trying to keep undercover and was branded a traitor to the military in order to keep their secrets away from the citizens of Zenterr. His father had fled back to the village to the woman and child that he loved so dear, to show them affection for the last time before he was slain by the government, but the SoM had sent the local military to raid the village for his head. Surrounded in flame and soaked with tears, Lucas sat in front of the two lifeless bodies that were his parents remembering the last thing his father told him. "Don't trust the government. Find the Truth." Lucas survived the purge of his village and moved into the capital of Zenterr where he became a military knight, the ones who had killed his family and friends, in order to find the "Truth" that his father wanted him to find.
