Leena was, quite frankly, not one to talk to strangers. She wasn’t even one to talk to acquaintances. That’s why, when a man walked right up to her table and started a conversation with her; she didn’t so much as glance up from her magazine. Instead, she took a sip of her coffee, reached into her pocket, pulled out a cigarette and lighter, and took a long drag of the smoke before looking away from her article.
”Listen, sorry to be rude, but I’ve got better shit to do than talk to you right now.” Was what she wanted to say. Except all she got out was; “Listen..” Something about him, she couldn’t quite place a finger on, but it was on the tip of her tongue. His face caught her eye and made her stutter, which never happened, leaving her quite confused.
“Uh..” Leena looked around, with a roll of her eyes she sighed, “Yea sure.” She uncrossed her legs and with one foot kicked the other wire chair, causing it to slide back for him. This, in turn, caused a rather unpleasant and loud noise. She had successfully made the people around them to turn and stare in their direction. Leena had stopped snapping her fingers.
