Also in response to last night, it's kinda like a computer in the sense that it can create stores of backup information and extract outside information for its own use. But at the same time I only really went with the computer analogy because it's the same kind of analogy used in the comics, seeing as the multiverse "Rebooted". In all honesty it's something I still have yet to figure out completely.

Hopefully I'll have an easier time planning out my stories once I've built up the world/multiverse a bit more. That said, some of the things I'm planning on including from outside the archie verse is the Kintobor to Robotnik origin story and the Omni-veiwer from the special zone, both of which originated in the sonic the comic continuity.

In relation to the Omni-viewer, I'm also thinking of keeping Feist in as well and merging the two in a way, with Feist having the Omni-viewer as a piece of gear with its own will. In this sense the Omni-viewer keeps Feist in check by restraining and reducing his powers when he goes too far or ignores their now shared responsibility, and Feist helps the Omni-viewer by interacting directly with parts of the special zone, even if he doesn't enjoy doing so. It'll be fun to have the two arguing and clashing over things. hehehe

I'll be using the corrupted and fragmented files to explain why some characters/ideas from the original continuity aren't removed and the missing files to add in a few non archie characters/ideas. I'll also be integrating game items like fire souls, gun drive, and act rings into the world as to flesh it out a bit more. And that's all for only the new core reality.

[In basic, these stories actually have the same history as the archie comics up until the end of the Super Genesis Wave incident. It's from this point onward that the lore changes somewhat, relying on the idea of the multiverse being a self aware system capable of repairing and changing itself.]

In this alternate multiverse timeline, Eggman's attack on Super Sonic while he tried to reverse the Super Genesis Wave caused too much damage to the core reality, preventing the multiverse from rebooting after collapsing in on itself due to a combination of corrupted, fragmented, and missing files within its system.
In an attempt to repair itself and stabilize, the system used alternate files from variations of itself to replace missing files when it couldn't find them within its backup cashe. It also omitted the deletion of the fragmented and corrupted files and instead repaired them as best as possible using what was in its backup cashe.
Having re-obtained stability, the multiverse system finally rebooted, adding in a new backup reality in case it started collapsing again. Its dimensional file name, Sharifmar, an alternate reality of the core universe where the main cast and mystical energies only exist within stories, not life.

Would anyone mind if I idea test some basic lore that will exist in two of the sprite comics I'm planning on making? I'll probably just be posting something occasionally whenever I make a good ammount of progress.

The more difficult part of that is making them switch between a lot of memories in a short time, so it can eat up some energy.
