My character, as discussed with the GM

Rebooted Dami-Spawn's first post.

And I now own the last three IC posts with all of my characters.

I hereby declare this the Super Bounce Power Hour.

Someone needs to break the chain, quickly!
yeah, Canadian PM seems like too much of a Coolguy for that...

Also, worried I did too much with CM. I have trouble telling when I play people with major powers and am concerned about abusing them.
Right, Captain Marvel post is up. Probably not very good, but I'll get back into the swing of things. Also let me know if I've done too much. I'm never sure in situations like this.

Tokyo
Shibuya Crossing

Billy had been stunned and stupefied as he stood on the fabled Watchtower, staring down at the surface of the earth. Oh, he had seen the Earth from space a time or two before and it had been breathtaking then. But this...this was different. He was walking in the footsteps of Earth's greatest heroes, staring down at the world from the same point of view, joining their team along with so many other great heroes...

If he didn't have the Courage of Achilles, he might have just fainted!

The scene unfolding in Tokyo prompted that reaction for entirely different reasons. A viking behemoth who could take a Kryptonian level punch and barely stumble, hordes of alien-starfish-zombies attacking a crowd of civilians and now a giant telepathic starfish kaijuu straight out of the worst old B-movies brought to horrifying life, speaking directly into his head?

"HOLY...MOLY!"

The others had already sprung to work in the blink of an eye, but things seemed to have mostly gone from bad to worse. Billy itched to fly up there and prevent his newfound friends from becoming the tentacled creature's newest minions and join the fight himself, but there was something he knew needed to be done first. Despite others best efforts the crossing was stilled filled with screaming, panicking civilians. Both Billy's own heart and the Wisdom of Solomon were urging him to get them out of the way and he knew the fight would go easier if they didn't have to worry about innocents in harm's way. The streets had become a thronging mass of people with only the purple starfishes denoting attackers from victims and most of the heroes there were busy fighting or avoiding Starro. carrying out A 100% safe, coordinated evacuation in time would take a miracle or else more manpower than the League and Tokyo combined possessed.

Well, unless you were Earth's Mightiest Mortal.

Time seemed to slow down to a crawl if not stop outright from Billy's perspective as he walked through the crowd identifying those without Starfish aliens attached to them, picked them up in ones, twos or occasional threes and carried them clear of the fighting. For Captain Marvel this took a decent amount of effort and time, carefully picking up innocent lives, consulting the Wisdom of Solomon for directions to the nearest likely safe place in the area to deposit a large number of people and bringing them over in small groups. The majority of others there would probably just see a red-white-and-gold blur zooming around along with occasional flickers of gold lightning as nearly all civilians without a miniature Starro attached were suddenly deposited safe and sound some distance away in one of Tokyo's many Disaster Preparation Parks. Captain Marvel might not be the Flash, but the Speed of Mercury made for a pretty good imitation.

The pre-prepared safe zones within Tokyo had been built to handle widespread disruption and serve as a temporary safe haven for large crowds in situations...well, not exactly like these, but close enough anyways. The park would have been just a lovely local feature at any other time, green and serene and full of life as a refuge of nature in the bustling city. But now it was suddenly filled with a frightened, confused throng of formerly threatened bystanders. Captain Marvel hovered before the massive crowd, using his super strong lungs to be heard as he spoke in nearly perfect and incredibly polite Japanese.

<<"Everyone, please listen up! The Justice League is here for your protection, but the resulting battle may make the city unsafe. For your own safety please stay in this designated safe area free of falling buildings, debris, and giant alien starfish kaijuu. It's my understanding that the park is equipped with emergency supplies, toilets and solar powered chargers and WiFi to enable you to contact your loved ones. Please, tell them to either stay indoors or proceed to other similar parks like this closest to their locations depending on their needs and current level of safety. If the League fails-which is unlikely-or once we have defeated the monster, the news should arrive to you via the emergency information networks established by the local authorities. We will keep you safe! The League thanks you for your continued cooperation!">>

With that he sped back to Shibuya Crossing and Starro, stopping once he was facing Starro eye to unblinking, giant red eye. Captain Marvel grinned up at Starro as he ran through scenarios on how to defeat the Lovecraftian looking entity before it mind controlled them all. He briefly considered trying to talk him down, but even if he could the tentacles were threatening his fellow League-members. Well, there was one hopefully sure-fire way to damage the creature given their position.

"I've got just one word for you: SHAZAM!"

A giant bolt of magical golden lightning worked on most foes...

he hoped.
Okay. Let me see if I got this right.

Tokyo:
(Starro, Cobi, and The Unknown)
Nightwing > Starro, Cobi, and The Unknown
Devil Ray/Sea Devil > Starro and Cobi
Static > Starro and Cobi
Starling > Starro and Cobi
The Marvelous Miss Appear > Starro and Cobi
Seraph > Starro and Cobi

Metropolis:
(Shrapnel, Bloodsport, Captain Comet, Manchester Black, Livewire, Metallo, Parasite and King Shark)
Question > Bloodsport / Kind of Shrapnel
Red Arrow > Comet > Shrapnel
The Imp > Shrapnel
"Superman" > Parasite
Stargirl and S.T.R.I.P.E. > Livewire*
B'wana Beast > King Shark
Jon-El > Comet > Metallo
Donna > Manchester Black
Mark Moonrider > Comet

Unplaced Heroes:
Shining Knight

Strike Through = Down/Unconscious/Whatever
*And as a general PSA, more towards @GreenGrenade than anyone else I guess; I'm having Courtney attack Livewire as she flies past Jon. Because I'm assuming Jon is more occupied with Metallo to go after Livewire. But if I'm wrong, let me know and I'll adjust things. I'm not sure if Pat is going to stop and help Courtney or head into the Shrapnel fight. Because I know @Nightwing95 is itching to get involved in that one. ;)

this reminds me, where should I put Captain Marvel? Suggestions anyone?
@Dblade26 Just because it was a WIP. To be fair I can't remember the last time you've made a character/post I haven't enjoyed and that sheet hasn't bucked the trend, so you feel safe in the knowledge that, as far as I'm concerned, you're golden.

In that case I may just leave it as is and elaborate on other things in-RP, I'm eager to get started.
Was my Cap sheet bad enough to not warrant comment, or just because it's WIP? XD
So probably a Major WIP, but wanted to put this down.

New York City
Rand Tower Sub-basement level

Beneath the heart of an empire, Orson Rand watched the heir to a legacy of warriors sixty six generations deep sleep like a harmless infant. Not for the first time he wondered if he had any right to be here, out of his long exile to the remotest backwaters of Southeast Asia, where the only people to speak his name were the ghosts that haunted him at night.

Well the ghosts, his dealers, the boy that ran the booze for him, the occasional purveyor of what Lei-Kung had called 'distractions of the flesh'...

Not that even those could distract him for long. Regardless, he was having the same argument with himself again. How could he not, when he stood inside a monument built out of his failures. Oh Wendell had certainly done well enough with what he'd been given, Orson would grant him that much. But the foundations of this place, still easy to find through the old tunnels...well, they were as old and useless as himself. Taking up much of the space was his old airship, the dead leviathan's frame of broken ribs poking through the skin of the envelope and making shame gnaw at him harder than any aching old wound. Worse than that was his father's old underground train, its' headlights glassy and empty, rust coating the rails out to the main tunnel's mouth as a gently festering reminder of what once could have been. It was all just like Wendell, always the collector, especially of things better left behind. Even the well-maintained training halls reminded him of his failure to properly prepare Wendell for the world.

That was one failure he would not repeat with Danny. Even if it killed him.

He turned his attention to the boy now, asleep on a stacked up pile of training mats with Orson's trusty old duster thrown over him. He looked so much like Wendell had at that age but his face was softer and his hair lighter, probably the mother's touch there. The kid had Wendell's spirit too, all iron and dragon-fire and hurt, ready to lash out at the world. His form had been good, he'd struck with conviction and without hesitation when perceiving a threat. But he fought without guile, trickery, innovation. Most dangerously of all, he fought without understanding.

Except for the headbutt. Orson rubbed at his nose and chuckled. that one'd hurt.

Danny stirred in the makeshift bed and Orson stepped a hairsbreadth out of what he'd judged to be the boy's range from there, just in case. A child's blue eyes opened in the daze of half-sleep and for an excruciating moment he recognized Wendell there, longed to melt away like a bad dream and find the pipe he'd discarded in Thailand, forget.

<<"Ugh, what hit me and why am I wearing a hobo's rag-jacket?">>

Moment over.

<<"Way I figure it, the jacket actually improved your smell. S'been a while since I was in France for the latest fashions n' longer since I was a dumb kid, but I didn't know it was in style ta walk out of school wearing the distinct scent of eau de toilette!">>

The anger got Danny up, visibly sharpened his focus as he locked onto the old man.

<<"I saw what you did and I know what I felt, you drew on the Chi of Shou-Lao. The unexpected mystic backlash was enough to knock me out and it still feels like it should be impossible! So...">> He looked Orson up and down, took in for the first time that without the coat on there was a dragon-marked uniform of the Living Weapon of K'un-L'un in front of his eyes similar to the one he'd secreted away. Curiosity burned along with anger in his eyes then. <<"you're another Iron Fist, and you knew my father. What else do you know?>>"

Orson didn't need any ancient magics to know his answer would seal Danny's fate. His mouth hardened into a grim line as he slipped a hand into a belt pouch and pulled forth a small cloth bag.

"I know that this is part of why your father died."

He pulled out a small fragment of crystal that immediately began to hum and glow with a soft golden light. As soon as it started, both Iron Fists could feel the pulses of energy it emitted with the hum, coursing and thudding like the beating of a heart.

"It's a fragment of the Anomaly Gem, a gateway to the realm an Iron Fist's spirit goes to after death, and a link to their collective qi. Your father had been using his company's resources to gather up some of the scattered fragments, s'far as I can tell he was gonna present them to the Yu-Ti as an apology gift before he took up as the next Iron Fist. We both know he...he didn't make it that far. Somebody wanted his fragments and killed him to get them, not to mention stop the rise of another Iron Fist. I'm here because there's a fragment in New York. You're here because I might need an extra set of eyes...and there aren't many that I trust. I might be able to tell you more on the way, but for now, you'd better understand we're racing against others and that I'm your one shot at answers."

Orson already knew what he'd say. Honor and Vengeance both demanded nothing less.

"Fine. But you said 'on the way'. Where are we going?"

Orson gave Danny a grin that had no place on a face that old.

"Where all the best stories start, kid. We're headed to a bar."
