Greetings one and all!
My name is of little to no consequence, but please call me Deadwood, DW, Woody, Deadhead, whatever floats your boat. I am a 25 year old bi-sexual male, with an interest in character building RPs over just straight up action (my time int he arena will be far and few between)
RL-wise I work as an editor most of the time, while doing side work modelling fetish wear for a friend.
RP-wise, I am very easy going. No topic is too controversial, no idea is too far-fetched, and no character is too extreme. I have no boundaries what so ever, and will reciprocate whatever is directed at me. So things can go as far or as slow as you like.
INT-wise I vary from things such as fandom like Pokemon, Fairy Tail, TTGL, Fate series, etc. While setting wise I love everything from hard fantasy (elves, orcs, dragons, etc) through to dark modern fantasy (hunters, vamps, werewolves, etc) and even post apocalyptic stuff (absolutely love me some Mad Max). SUB NOTE: Anything with demons/magic/anthro-monsters is instant win with me :3
I don't bite unless asked, I won't just up and leave a conversation or RP without due warning and cause, and look forward to meeting and RPing with you all!

May Terrin frowned as she stood in the guild hall of Nova Apex with the Magic Council representative. Silently she listened as the representative told her the situation.
"Look Master Terrin, we understand that your S class ranked mages are out on jobs. But the council really needs you to step up here. Think of it as a fantastic opportunity for some others to get experience. Also, don't forget what we did for you a couple of months ago."
Mays frown deepened and creases appeared on her forehead. Silently she was glad that none of the guild members were immediately present. It was too early in the morning for them. She prided herself on always smiling and having a bright and optimistic attitude. She nodded, but rebutted to the councilman
"I have not forgotten how you helped us clean up after...Barons rather tragic experiment."
She shuddered as she remembered one of the guild members, Ruten Baron, user of dust make magic, accidentally conjure a swarm of dust warriors who went rogue and couldn't be dismissed, attack everyone in the town. She continued.
"But this is a very serious matter, which has the potential to be very dangerous. All our most powerful and proficient members are out right now, as you said. I will not put some of my more junior members into the possibility of harms way. We have no idea who, or what, is causing this phenomenon."
The spokesperson nodded and retorted.
"As you say, we do not know much. And we are already spread thin investigating this. We need to be seen as in control. We need a second party, Nova Apex specifically, to investigate. All we are looking is for some reconnaissance. Find and if possible follow, but not engage. They find out something, report to us, then we can send in the heavy hitters."
May went to say something when she heard the creaking of a door. A smile suddenly jumped onto her face as she turned.

Merlan Excal slowly drifted into the main hall. Sweat dripped from his brow, and his right arm was covered in bruises. He looked up at his guild master and her visitor.
"Oh, sorry Master Terrin. I meant not to intrude."
Upon realizing the visitor was a council member, he suddenly shot up straight and saluted.
"Greetings councilman. please pardon my appearance. Simple training."
He watched as May put up a hand, and her smile turned genuine.
"There is no need for such formalities Merlan. The councilman was just leaving. And I will see what I can do for you and...your situation."
Merlan remained saluting as the councilman left. once the door closed, he exhaled and let himself slump again.
May Terrin floated over to him and put a hand on his shoulder.
"Merlan, you need to stop pushing yourself so hard. You have nothing to prove. You will blossom in your own time."
Merlan nodded, then shook his head.
"I need to get stronger, and I need to do it now. I have to stop the Crimson Sand. It consumed my sister. She's one of the ones who was swallowed up by it and hasn't been found. I need t be stronger so I can do something about it."
May sighed.
"What if I said I had a mission pertaining to finding out information regarding this incident?"
Merlan shot up again.
"Please let me take it Master."
She put up a hand again.
"Not alone you won't. I won't go losing one of our shining knights."
She smiled and ruffled his hair. She looked up.
"Let's wait and see who else turns up..."

Everyone here looks good to go. I am impressed at the amount of room everyone has left to grow and develop :) I want this to be just as much about self discovery and interactions with each-other as well as action and solving the mystery. Once you are happy with your character, go post it in the Character Sheet Thread once you have made any last minute changes. Looks all good on my end though :)

Man it got boring once Lorelei left. Yeah I may have over-reacted when I saw that she had wings, a tail and scales. But I like to think I'm over that. Didn't mean to walk in on her in the shower, playing with a ball of fire that wasn't being extinguished in the stream. Can't blame her though. But she did make the best pancakes. Going to miss those.
So, guess I better put up notice that I need a new room-mate. It's a nice two bedroom apartment, with communal kitchen/living area, private bathrooms, and parking. Rent is really good as well. Landlord pays for the water. Shouldn't have any trouble finding someone.
Next door apartment is a bit strange though. Wonder if he is a...what did Lorelei call it, Cryptid? Basically the blanket term for a monster that hides from the public eye. Wonder how many are out there actually...
Well, enough musing. Time to get up off my ass and get that post up. Sooner I get it up, the sooner i should find a new room-mate. Hope they are human though.

As to how long until the fact comes out that your not is up to the RP. You would probably be scared of me knowing, and unaware that I know of monster existence (lovingly called 'Cryptids') Would be amde funnier if you have some very inhuman characteristics or habits that you try to hide.

How does an Australian guy end up as an adherent of an American approach to old, European heathen faiths?
By having strong germanic familial ties, a fervent belief based on discovery and not forced implication, and in all honesty I did not know about the term or concept of Asatru until a couple of years ago. After researching the term, I found that it fit with my concept of belief, and have used it ever since. After all, I find things easier when i can give them a name or label.
And pardon any passive aggression here, but I prefer the term pagan to heathen. Has better connotations to it.
