Alexei's eyes opened in total surprise as the serpent vanished from his sight... Appearing next to him, and as if mocking him further, stealing his gun as well. Alexei grabbed his trench knife as he backed off from the serpent and pointed his knife at him. Suddenly, out of the blue, Enki surged forward, pinning the fake Telefag's foot to the ground. "Great job, Enki. What the guy said is right... Tell us what you know so that your death serves us purpose." Alexei smirked as he took a stance; as if ready to pounce.

"We killed one of your brothers, and while you said you fiends aren't the same, we'll still find a way to kill you. Everybody dies; we just need to find the right method. The same principle goes to you, Slug." Alexei smiled as he looked at Hollow, Crack Druid and Melinda. "He can copy our abilities... and even improve them. He is a different one, but all snakes live for one purpose.. to be skinned and used for us humans." Alexei scorned the snake.

Alexei, although acting as if he got things under control, is certainly scared and worried. The serpent not only can copy and improve abilities, he can delve into the minds of those he copied to extract information. This opponent was out of their league... those shitheads at the Team Awesome should be the one handling this problem, not them. However, Alexei also knew that if they were to be respected by others; they had to prove that they could stand on their own.

"If you have the bone to talk... I suggest you spout things that make sense. I wouldn't mess with Enki, not him... I might not believe his story, but perhaps if you continue talking bullshit, I can find out if it's true."
Alexei tensed as the reptile morphed into... him! The reptile looked like Alexei... from head to toe. The assassin gritted his teeth as he bit his finger to calm down; this was a huge insult on his part. The lad clenched his fist as he released a really deep sigh. Apparently, the reptile was using his x-ray vision... That fool would be surprised at the side-effects if he took that long.

"A'right... You wanna talk, fat worm? Fine. Let's start with the basics. Who are you? What are you? What is your purpose? Where did you come from?" Alexei spouted a trail of questions as he picked up his rifle again, and aimed it at the fake Alexei. "I won't expect you to answer all of it, but if I see one wrong move... You'll die, and your worthless daddy will receive his favorite's dead corpse in a matchbox." Alexei threatened the scum as Telefag joined in.

"Yeah, what Telefag said is true... Melinda's shields are probably the deadliest things you can encounter in our group, and while Melinda has a kind soul... You'll find no savior in me. Now, start speaking, worm." Alexei spoke in a cold and deep tone; rage evident in his yellow eyes.
Alexei cringed as he shook his head. This shit keeps getting weirder as time passes by. Alexei aims his rifle at the creature's head; the creature now had shifted to its true form... A menace covered in scales. The assassin eyed his companions, taking any signs of action. The creature began to speak; revealing its mouth to be infested with jagged teeth which could act as blades. "Really now? Well you can tell your daddy to shove his fist up his ass. We may not be the best team on earth, you serpentine bastard, but one thing is for sure, it was a mistake for your kind to mess with our town." Alexei growled as he returned the cold gaze of the serpent. "I don't normally involve myself in hero work, but your existence threatens my business. We all make mistakes in life, but this one, will be your last." Alexei grinned as he prepared to pull the trigger, however, the creature began to mutate... until it was a living replica of Hollow.

Alexei eyed Hollow; giving him a message to become ready for anything that might happen. "Talk? I don't think so... not while you're not restrained." Alexei replied as he steadied his rifle, and eyed Melinda.

"Melinda, place a field around the serpent... Don't let him escape." Alexei instructed as he turned to Telefag and Hollow. "If Melinda can't hold the field any longer, suppress the serpent." Alexei said as he turned to Jake. "You got any rope around here, Nerdlord? Tell me where, and I'll get it. In the meantime, everyone, keep your eyes on the snake... and kill him, if the need arises."
Mory observed the now growing number of teens who were converging in that area. It seems that the one little stun had a similar effect of flame to a swarm of moths. The musician realized his hand had grown tired, and when he stopped playing, he looked down at his can. It seems that when he was mindlessly playing, the people were dropping coins left and right. The can was almost full; probably amounting to 5 dollars, give or take. Mory smiled as he looked again at the teens.

"That girl could have died..." Mory mumbled to himself; slumping down. Suddenly, something in his mind triggered a variety of forbidden thoughts.

Died. Died. Died. Die. Die. Die. Hurt. Hurt. Hurt. Pain. Pain

Mory's eyes opened as he realized he was trembling really hard. His breath had gone awry, and his eyesight blurry. Strange thoughts were running into his mind: Killing, torture, massacre... Everything that involved blood and tears.

Mory stood up, grabbing his belongings... Clenching his head as he tried to steady his breathing; he didn't want these memories... Not anymore. He leaned on everything; trees, walls, chairs, people... Memories of the therapy, and of how the loan sharks were chasing him... He couldn't bring himself to remember. The boy stumbled to a cafe where he slumped down a random seat. His blood was still pulsing through his temples; his heartbeat unsteady. Mory looked beside him; seeing a random person, probably a girl. His psychotic trauma broke a little bit as he couldn't stop himself.

"Hey you, between a knife, and a chain, which one would bring a slower death? I mean, a knife would bring incision, but at the same time..." Mory was smiling while saying these things; almost joyous. Suddenly, his eyes adjusted on the person he was babbling to: it was a girl. Mori covered his mouth as he looked horrified.

"I am terribly sorry for what I said! I swear to you, it was not my intention!" Mory stammered. "Please don't return me to the asylum... please.." Mory pleaded; his eyes close to tears.
Hustle, and bustle... It was always like this; always had, and always will be. People in suits, and office men with suitcases, what was new? The glory of traffic went by as the only thing that made this place seem like human was a sweet symphony coming from a worn-out violin. A blue-haired lad was playing it, his eyes closed in concentration. The boy was playing the classic Canon; a very popular piece on the violin. The busy people merely rolled their eyes, and as if out of pity, they dropped some coins into the tin can in front of the musician. Each time a coin was dropped, the lad would open his eyes and nod, and smile at the people who had been generous.

Suddenly, a young boy walked up to the musician as his sparkly innocent eyes goggled on his violin. "Hey mister! It's my birthday! Can you play me the happy birthday song?" the boy requested with such enthusiasm as the blue-haired lad chuckled, and nodded. In a short while, it was the classic 'Happy Birthday' melody that was playing in the air. In a matter of minutes, the melody finished, leaving the boy smiling.

Just as the boy was about to say something, the parents of the lad came by, and quickly dragged the boy away from lad.

"Happy birthday, sport!" the musician shouted as the kid looked back.

"Hey mister, what's your name?!"

"Mory." Mory replied with a small smile as he slumped down; looking at his can which contained a total of 2 dollars. "God must be happy with me." Mory grinned as his eye caught another beggar; a few blocks down with no one paying attention to him. Mory clenched his fist as he sighed and smiled. The lad stood up, and walked down to the old beggar, and without hesitating, he placed the two dollars inside the beggar's can.

The lad chuckled as he scurried back into his position, playing the Canon once more. Suddenly, he saw a bunch of policemen apparently chasing a girl down a few buildings. Now that was one thing; what surprised Mory was the fact that the girl JUMPED DOWN the tall ass building.

"Good lord... Did she survive?" Mory mumbled as he picked up his can, containing a dollar, and his violin. He quietly walked near the scene; seeing another girl. Making it look like, he wasn't interested, Mory set down his can and began to play another melody, the Happy Birthday... once more.

"Those policemen won't be far..." Mory smiled as he kept playing the tune; still keeping his eyes on the women.
May I join? :D

Name: Mory Mortus

Age: 15

Skills: Ability to play the Violin on a decent level; and at the same time, he knows how to cook or prepare food.

Appearance:

Personality: Mory appears to be very friendly and generous to others; often showing traits such as putting others in front of himself, or giving the last bread to his friends... However, beneath that bright personality, is a deep and dangerous trauma which causes Mory to act the exact opposite of who he is.

Backstory:

It is always a tragedy when a child is born with a sickness; in Mory's case, the sickness was of the mind. At a very early age, Mory was sent to a rehabilitation center to be cured of his illness which was Sadism. The boy spent countless of years inside that center, and when he returned, he realized his parents bailed out on a loan shark. Mory had no choice but to escape into the streets; always watching over his shoulder, and to be vigilant always. However, this kind of environment was not helpful to his condition. The boy's Sadism was solved at the therapy, but like all scars, they never truly vanish. Mory didn't want his new friends to find this dark side to him, and so, he adopted a personality that would suppress such urges even in dark times.

Many say that people nowadays are just plastic, and fake... But for some, they have to be fake in order to benefit others. In Mory's case, his huge smile, and warm hugs, hide a horrid scowl, and a deathly grip.
Kitsune focused intently on Ryuunosuke while he was speaking; taking seriously that the man was telling him. As Ryuunosuke finished his words, Kitsune bowed and raised his head again. "I thank you for your kind words, Mitsumine-dono. Of course, I also thank you for acknowledging my request." Kitsune grinned as he pulled out his fan, and began to fan himself gently.

"I also believe that strength isn't merely with the blade, but with the mind as well. I have been living with that idea for a while now. I studied parchment after parchment given to me by an ostracized medicine man. However, to be an.." Kitsune stammered as he had to speak a word which he never liked. "To be an heir of the Boar, one must not only be talented in strategies or decisions, but with the way of the sword as well. Mitsumine-dono, we can always say that the mind conquers the sword, but when push comes to shove, the sword will always be used." Kitsune exhaled as he began once more.

"My clan has always believed in strength with the blade, and as such, will always prefer a strong person over a weak one. Our clan has been plagued with conflict, and due to this, the people has lost faith over diplomacy, and mercy has been seen as weakness. I think it was because of the strength of your clan that my father allied himself to you." Kitsune smiled as he shook his head. "I know that the ways of my clan is wrong, and once I take my father's place, I will better the clan. However, before my clan respects my vision, they must first respect my strength; as is the tradition." Kitsune sighed and cleared his throat.

"Mitsumine-dono. Once again, thank you for your hospitality. Treat me as you would treat your guests. I shall carry my own weight, and I have given instructions to my retainers to undertake any task you might assign them to." Kitsune bowed as he stood up. "I hope to see your ascendance, Mitsumine-dono. You might be the one who can change this country."

Kitsune smiled as he left the room where his retainers were waiting for him.

"WHY ARE YOU SO WEAK?!" Akechi, one of his retainers, spoke in an angry whisper. "You never even told that Mitsumine that you are talented, and deadly. Medicines? Poisons? You're already an assassin, Hatamoto-san!" the retainer was pissed off.

"You refused to raise your head in that conversation, Hatamoto-dono. At least show our pride as the Boar." Shibata added.

"There is no need to brag of our abilities, Akechi-san, and Shibata-san. We are here as guests... Not as braggers. Come, we'll take a tour around the place before our work begins." Kitsune smiled gently as his retainers rolled their eyes in disappointment.
Alexei's attention was caught when Hollowfag went outside, and approached him. The assassin stood still as he wondered whether Hollowfag would attack him, because from what he noticed, the two them were in bad blood. However, it caught him by surprise when Hollowfag actually began praising him. The guy was actually telling him that he did a good job, and he'll make a good leader. Furthermore, the guy even knew he was masking his true personality with rude get-up. Hollowfag went back inside as Alexei shivered.

"No, no, no, no, no..." Alexei stammered as he bit his thumb. "Don't be so nice to me... no..." the lad whispered to himself as he saw Telefag arriving outside. "Good to see you here, Telefag. I hope you didn't bump Hollow on your way out; you've always been a clumsy prick." Alexei rolled his eyes as he masked himself once again. "So, you ready? Let's go." Alexei loaded his rifle, and was about to move out when he heard Melinda scream.

"Guess, our mission starts here now, Telefag." Alexei smiled at the guy as his eyes turned red, and inside the bar, he saw Winters bouncing off of Melinda's forcefield. "Telefag, you're the quickest in your team... Should Winters try to escape, I leave you to chase him down." Alexei spoke as he approached the bar exit door. "Cover me, Telefag." Alexei instructed as he barged through the door, and aimed his rifle at Winters.

It seems he was wrong; that was not the real Winters. Alexei looked at Enki, and speculated that the guy must have been responsible for discovering the mess. "Stand down, you bastard... or I swear, I will put a bullet through your head." Alexei aimed his sights on the creature's glowing yellow eyes. Alexei looked at Melinda as he spoke.

"Wherever this creature tries to go, put a forcefield in his direction to prevent him from escaping. However, don't overexert yourself... We(i) don't want you bleeding again." Alexei instructed as he turned to Hollow. "Hollow, protect Nerdlord, and Melinda. We can't have this creature taking one of us hostage. Enki, err, or something, find out what this creature is, and let's destroy this bastard together. Telefag, try to cover everyone in the room... I think your speed is the best among us. Nerdlord, remember what I told you about the pistol? Do it. Crack Druid, as the most versatile in our group, go crazy against this bastard."

Alexei shifted his gaze back to the creature whose hateful eyes were staring at them intently. "Whatever you are... I'm putting you down." Alexei growled as he fired a speeding bullet towards the creature's leg, hoping to incapacitate it.
Kitsune stood outside with his retainers who were getting tired of the heir's timid and shy attitude. If this keeps up, the people of the Mitsumine will think that the Boar was fragile and weak! The heir avoided the deathly stares of his retainers; even Shigeige Shibata, his closest retainer, was getting fed up with Kitsune being pushed around, or rather, allowing himself to be pushed around. For Kitsune, it seemed like an eternity of waiting as he kept adoring the Mitsumine land. Knowing his destiny to lead the Boar, Kitsune wanted a land which does not only house battle-hardened warriors, but also a clan which is a haven of sanctuary and peace. The young heir was baffled with his father's zeal for battle; as if their clan was always expecting more wars to come. For the heir, as long as war is on the minds of people, then war will happen; of course, he didn't want that.

Suddenly, Kitsune was snapped out of his thoughts by Shibata who was vigorously shaking his shoulder. It seemed that Mitsumine was ready to see him. His retainers offered to accompany him inside, but the heir said otherwise. It would only show disrespect and distrust in Mitsumine's honor and moralities. Kitsune nodded to the servant who approached him, and straightened his kimono. With a slow stride, Kitsune entered the room. His eye immediately caught Mitsumine Ryuunosuke, who was sitting already. Kitsune pulled out his fan as he took a deep bow towards Ryuunosuke.

"It is an honor to finally meet you, Mitsumine Ryuunosuke-dono. I heard a lot from my father of your upcoming ascension to the position of head. I do hope you don't mind my attire..." Kitsune pointed to his blue kimono which had tatters on it. "Not really dressed for such an occasion." Kitsune smiled as he sat in seiza. His eye also caught the sight of Hana, whom he had met at the gate.

"I'm sorry for adding to your burdens, when you could have met more powerful individuals." Kitsune chuckled as he pulled out two small chests from the pouch he was carrying... Well, Shibata was carrying it before. "But I guess, I can't waste anymore of your time; so allow me to get straight to the point." the heir switched to a serious tone as he laid out the chests in front of him.

"I've come from the Boar Clan upon my father's urging. I think that it has reached the ears of your honorable clan that the heir of the Boar is useless in battle. Well, I can honestly say it is true, Mitsumine-dono." Kitsune bowed his head as he continued speaking. "From the very beginning, I never shared my father's or my clan's zeal for war, and I thought I could escape my destiny. However, it seems I cannot. My father refuses to see me back at the clan if I did not learn how to fight. So, my purpose for this visit is to ask you, Mitsumine-dono, and your clan to allow me to train here, in the Mitsumine, until such time that I am competent enough to return home." Kitsune laid out the truth as he cast aside any pride that remained. He then opened the chests, which did not contain gold nor lumber; but flasks upon flasks.

"I refused my father's gift of lumber, because I wanted this to be my own effort. Here, I present to you, a specially made medicine from natural herbs within our forests. However, I do pray that the day you have to use these medicines may never come." Kitsune bowed again as he raised his head. "My uncle has come to present my father's gift in the first place. I think, Mitsumine-dono, you will be meeting him soon."

Kitsune raised his head as he looked at Ryuunosuke with full determination.

"I do hope of your favorable decision, Mitsumine-dono. It will mean so much to our humble clan."
Alexei stepped out; feeling the wind on his being. For a moment, he was actually grateful for having some great guys on his team. Hollowfag, although he disliked the guy, did a lot today. Crack Druid as well who created some spectacular stunts. The lad didn't really see Enki, but when he saw Winters talking to a random guy who he probably knew; Alexei hoped that it was that person. Telefag was there, but Alexei needed that guy's ability for now. Nerdlord was also brave; Alexei chuckled at seeing Mild's angry face. Who knew the kid was strong enough to be his own man? Finally, Melinda... It's only been a week since they've been in the team, but Alexei felt that he had missed a lot during these times. He hardly knew the girl, but right now, his head was not straight. Whether he liked it or not, what Hollowfag said was true... For some reason, deep inside, he wanted to be the only person that Melinda would look at. Alexei really wanted to remove these feelings, but for some reason, they keep surfacing. He had tried to push everyone away by using harsh words and harsh attitudes in order to cover up his actually fragile nature; of how easily he cares for others... So far it succeeded. Hollowfag, and Telefag hated him... but why Melinda?

That girl... why was she never deterred? She keeps passing every barrier he had established, What was worse, was the fact that with every barrier she broke through... The happier, and more human Alexei turned out to be. He looked at his hands which had touched Melinda, and he remembered the warmth he had felt.

"I want... to hear her voice..." Alexei unconsciously spouted those words as he opened his eyes in surprise. Suddenly, he heard Melinda's voice, actually. "Wow... I must have knocked my head harder than I thought..." the assassin chuckled but he fell silent as Melinda actually appeared in front of him. Alexei tried his best to put on a bored face, but inside, he was shivering. Melinda, apparently, gave him some parting words which was to be careful, and Alexei was about to just nod when the girl rose up, and delivered a peck on his cheek. Melinda left hurriedly as she said: "See you!"

Alexei remained frozen in place as his hand touched the spot where a miracle had happened. "That's unfair. You're going to make me regret doing this." Alexei stammered as he stomped the ground in desperation. "No! Now is not the time to go full retard... Hey, TELEFAG! You comin' or what?!" Alexei shouted to cover up his trembling voice. In the silence that ensued, Alexei walked in circles outside the bar.

"Why do you make me feel?"

Telefag would come... He knew that guy would... He trusted that guy would, and he would wait for him.
