...sigh. I'm sorry but I have no wish to post just one paragraph repeating what my characters already said. And my last post was as PG as I could muster... Stry I hope you don't have a heart attack xD

Ok. Ill edit my post.
Trust.

It wasn't often in his line of work that people like him found someone they could trust. Looking at Rachel now, he could tell that despite the months of silence he could trust her. How much he could trust her with remained to be seen, but after what had happened to him over the last few months, he was clearly different than the overconfident assassin she had met. Back then, he overestimated his abilities, and it cost him. Now, he knew where he stood, and what that meant for his combat abilities. His enhancements had been...inaccessible since Mason's death, but were swiftly returning now.

As Rachel led him up the spiral, rusted staircase, Grant took in his surroundings, his tactical mind working up what could be used as defensive and offensive advantages in case of assault. The long, tight corridors could funnel enemies in a line, and the rooms, from what glimpses he got of them, were an offensive gold mine of improvise-able weapons. Though, defensively, the walls were thin, and anything over a .22 caliber round would shred the walls like cardboard. The rebar was sticking out in several places, which was a double-edged sword. On one hand, it could be ripped out, or used to pin enemies to the admittedly thin walls. On the other hand, were the enemy to use it against him...

"You chose the area surrounding your safe house well." He commented.

When the two of them arrived atop the apartment complex, Grant sat down on the edge of the roof, and looked at her with his single green eye.

"You've got questions, I can tell. What do you want to know? Ah, right the eye. Well, I....'d rather not talk about that. It's a painful thing to recall. As to where I've been, I was all over the world, mostly in Russia, working as a mercenary. No killing jobs, though. I got better with my attitude though. I'm not the same overconfident man you met. I know my limits."

I awake from my all-nighter :D

Apparently you forgot to include the message. The one we talked about that starts that arc we talked about....?

I'm not mad, I just think you might've had other stuff going on and genuinely forgot.
The Ravager was satisfied. The message was in place, the bait set. Now, the waiting game began, as it was only a matter of time until the target came to him. Oh, a lot of time had been put into this plan, months of it, in fact. Grant had a hitlist, and while Jilocasin had been at the top of it since the death of his brother, that plan required more people in planning than just himself. It was a plain fact, Jilocasin's powers were far beyond his physical enhancements, an opponent he couldn't take down alone.

But this plan of his was something he knew he could undertake on his own.

Revenge for an eye.
The night wind breezed past as Grant waited, helm in hand, at the entrance to the hideout of his best friend.

Rachel.

From the looks of things, she had changed her identity as a hero. Briefly he wondered what she went by now, before running a hand over the eyepatch covering his right eye. What would she think? What would she say?

She was his best friend, and he had vanished without a trace for months. They hadn't spoken since, hadn't seen each other since. A momentary look at his reflection in a nearby window showed his face, his dark brown hair. Since he had disappeared, he hadn't cut it, and it was starting to become chin length. He wondered if he should comb it back like his father.

He turned around when headlights lit up the wall and there she was.

"Hello Rachel."

Sure. And I see Nightingales evening with Iron sight ending well in the long run. This is starting to turn into a Romeo and Juliet thing with the whole Montague vs Capulet thing. Except between superhero teams.

And Ironsight has The Ravager swearing to make him suffer for taking his eye.

Heh

Yeah, Yeah. Laugh it up while you can.

She's on her way back to the city now, so either on the way it at the entrance to her hideout. Don't expect a BFFs reaction though. He has disappeared for months and they haven't spoken since.

Plus he lost an eye during his disappearance. I think she still cares for him at the least.

Sure.

Any specific place Grant can find her, or is it happenstance?
Stryder said
Oh yeah I forgot >.>

Don't forget the message.

She's in armour. He's not. Good luck tickling someone through metal.

Hey, since Rachel's free, can Grant reconnect with his best friend?
I'm in the process of editing my cs. I decided to go with a veterinarian

I briefly considered a member of the Bratva, the Russian mob.
