I think we should keep going. I don't think Ike is doing a bad job, but if he is dropping out we can use the OOC section for all of us to collaborate as game master for big events like the rat king and spider queen.
Dang, this RP really lost traction.
Fixed it. Sorry, I forgot.
You're absolutely fine. Don't worry about it. I was just curious.
Tanika glanced around the darkness as they walked. One spider had attacked her, one spider had attacked the new player and she still had the feeling that they were being watched. How many more will jump out before we get in the clear? She shivered at the thought. She felt skittish, every shadow a potential threat. She wasn't certain if she felt that way because she really was frightened for her life or if it was a response programmed into her character to keep her on her feet. Either way, every little snap of a branch or gust of wind scared her and the constant rush of adrenaline kept her on edge. It was hard for her to keep a steady pace with the rest of the group with all this energy bursting within her. There was too much to be aware of, from the trees to her party, everything was new and unsteady. She knew being in a group was the ticket to survival in a brawl but she didn't know these people. Sure, Sebastian seemed honorable enough and the others she didn't truly feel were any danger to her, but what did she know? If they got into a situation where it was them or her, she wouldn't blame them for sacrificing her. Hell, I might do the same to them given the situation. She couldn't expect them to give their lives for a stranger. The only reason she, or anyone for that matter, bothered to join a group was through self-preservation. If she became a conflict of interest, who wouldn't leave her in the lions den?

Her heart was thumping against her chest. God, she needed air. "Hey," she whispered loud enough to get the party's attention but no one elses "I'm sorry guys but I gotta move. Y'all are just too slow for me, its literally drivin' me nuts." she smiled a little awkwardly. "I was thinkin' I'd go run ahead, see what we're walking into. I won't go too far, mind, if I get into trouble I'll holler for ya'." Without waiting for an answer she bounded off, scarred they might try to talk her into staying with them. Only when she was out of sight did she realize that she wasn't quite sure what they were looking for in the first place. A place to sleep for the night? This quest thing? A second later she realized she didn't really care and continued jogging. Every now and then she would double back to make sure her group was alright and then bound away again before anyone got a chance to beckon her over.
I am alive! I've been following, just the weekends are too busy and I haven't gotten a chance to reply! I'm in it for the long haul too, so don't worry if I don't respond right away. I'll be back....in fact....writing a response right now! Well, ya know...after I read the manuscript of text I missed...
This RP didn't die, has it?
You don't have to stay in the dungeon. You could always lurk around town, or even stay in the dungeon and lurk around there. Kill some rats.
Tanika was intrigued by the bandit's neglect at chasing her. What did he mean gold wasn't the priority? Surely as a bandit it was... Suddenly her HUD lit up. She smiled, a rush of excitement filled her before she noticed that the thief was receiving an invite as well. Wha...? Why would he do that? He just tried to rob you.... Then she noted the kind of man it would take to do that. Either a very desperate one, or a very honorable one. Hoping for the later she accepted her invite. She looked around, shifting her weight back and forth to keep her muscles warm. The other player hadn't spoken since they'd met, though now they were supposedly allies. He had a rough appearance but she noted his kind face. The thief didn't look like a bad person either, though a thief, she couldn't hate him for it. He'd made that character before it became a real world for them. She couldn't fault him for his line of work.

Suddenly the hair on the back of her neck stood up and she had a creepy feeling that something was watching her. She whirled around expecting some terrible Hollywood monster to be standing over her dripping blood between its teeth, but she saw only darkness. Fear crept up on her. The only story she could recall from the forests was that sometimes spiders would come in hordes and take entire parties down. The one she'd just taken down had been difficult enough without having several others attacking her at the same time. "Hey," she was on edge, anxiety dripping from her voice " I think we should keep moving." She continued looking around for monsters in the forest but if anything was there, it was hiding in the darkness.
We could go after the Spider Queen.

And since spiders are worth more xp than rats, the Rat King could have minions. Go all Nutcracker on that!
