Hello all! As I am sure there are many aspiring authors to be found in the halls of this glorious guild, I thought I would see who else out there is anxiously awaiting April 1st?

For those of you who don't know what NaNoWriMo is, it stands for Nation Novel Writing Month (which is generally in November) but in both April and July we have a camp!
The goal is to write a novel in 30 days. You commit yourself to a word count goal (50k for NaNo, anything you want for camp) and there is a massive support system to kick your pants and make you write.

More info can be found at www.campnanowrimo.org

My hope for this thread is that it can be a second cabin for all you writers out there, and that we can help each other with our NaNo novels! Perhaps post a synopsis or ask for help solving a plot hole?

Though of course you need not commit the conversation in here to your NaNo novel! It can (and should) be anything story based.

Have fun!
Still waiting....
Watcher hung back enough for Mya to not notice her. The trio was struggling along and Watcher was painfully aware of how cold a person she was. She wanted to help them. She wanted to help the boy. She wanted to help everyone, but her intellect almost always won out against her instinct. She began to wonder if she continued acting in such a cold manner if perhaps one day her instincts would be beaten into submission. She'd certainly be safer that way. Or at least, safe enough to stay alive long enough for some test to eventually kill her.
Sorry for such a short post! I wanted to give everyone a chance to react.
Bump?
I just speed wrote a four page argumentative essay two hours before the drop box closed....so...take your time.
I'll just sit back and wait for you guys.

You said that Pat would get locked out of the dining room if he didn't move fast enough so maybe that happened?
The scene unfolded before Watcher quickly. Muzzle-boy, idiot that he was, ran out to help the child in the dirt with total disregard for rules or punishment. In some way it was admirable for doing what Watcher so longed to do as well, but she couldn't condone his stupidity for breaking the rules out in the open. Perhaps he could handle punishment, but anything beyond the toxins she ingested from the drug tests would be the death of her. If she wanted to stay alive, she couldn't break the rules in public for the officials to see.

As she was thinking, the blind girl ran out after the Muzzle-boy. Watcher slid behind the door and peered out to do what she did best, watch. Between the blind girl and the muzzled-boy the two of them half drug half carried the child to towards the dining hall, but Watcher noted how the blind girl kept fidgeting as if her mind wasn't entirely on the boy draped across her shoulder. Curious, Watcher followed at a distance, careful to not alert the blind girl to her presence. She'd never been as close to her as she had been today, but Watcher had noticed her before and had always been intrigued by her heightened senses. She wasn't about to be on the receiving end of them.
Can Watcher follow, or is that a no-no? Technically, I think Watcher would notice Mya suspiciously running off, but....you're the OP.
