My alternate account. I.E. I am ZAVAZggg and ZAVAZggg is me. Not to sock-puppet or some shit, just so I can actually have interaction between two characters in a way that fits Myriad Reality's posting style.

*One appears to look at you intently before flying off*

*Locks gazes with it before watching it go with an exasperated sigh*

Could you be any more obvious?

*Sticking my hands into my pockets, I stride off towards the entrance of the vendor way, passing the alley in which you stand in the process*
<Snipped quote by Caldizar>

*Walks into an alley*
Confirmed. Begin detailed observation.
*A murder of crows flies out of the alley and starts to survey the city*

*Takes a another bite, and after a few more I finish my food. Burping, I stand and move to throw the plate away in the nearest available bin, noticing the flock of crows as they fly between the buildings overhead. I do not say anything however, and throw the empty Styrofoam container away*
<Snipped quote by Caldizar>

*Walks throughout the city, keeping my head down*
...
*The hawk circles around your building once before continuing on its way*

*Gives it a passing glance*

Damn it.

*Shovels another forkful of sauce covered noodles into my mouth*

Every time I think I'm out, it just pulls me right back in...
@Caldizar

*Appears on the outskirt of a city*
Go.
*A hawk flies off of my arm and begins riding the air currents*

"Number ten! Your beef Pad Thai with extra hoisin sauce is ready!"

*Sighs, folding up the receipt and sliding it into my pocket before walking back to the stall to get my food*

Thanks.

*Giving the woman a small nod, I return to the bench and open up my plate, about to dig in when I notice a dark speck moving against the artificially illuminated horizon. Squinting, I call on a bit of my power to alter my vision, letting me see what it is more clearly*

Huh, that's odd. I didn't think there were any hawks near here...

*My eyes narrow into thin slits as I regard the bird, before quickly turning away with the slightest shake of my head*

It's probably nothing.

By all the powers that be I hope it's nothing...

*Focusing on my food, I begin to eat, pointedly ignoring the oncoming bird*

I get it applying within the cluster and pulling in someone from a similar, nearby universe, but if I'm bringing in someone who's already established, that would be equivalent to Existence-wide fate, which isn't something I'm as keen on doing.

I should point out that I never disregarded the option of putting in someone new, but Existence wide fate is essentially at play with Zachary regardless. His Verse is, as I've said, basically another Existence but using different terms as I mentioned when I first posted the character. It's also why I posted the CYOA author's cosmological lore, since it can essentially fit the MR model, with differences being chalked up to other Existences/Verses having different structures and referential terminology from their inhabitants. The Outside, however, remains the same. And he has a duty assigned to him, as a result of his transcendence, to go back there at some point. Hopefully after his experiences here have taught him how to be a worthy king, though he can't do that if he is allowed to just run from what he is, which is where the fate aspect comes in.

Like I said though, I understand, and am completely fine on going with an entirely new character meeting him, so long as it results in him being forced to confront his destiny and eventually learning to accept it in the long run. But uh, he needs some reason to leave that universe he's hiding out in currently for that series of events to happen, as he definitely won't do it himself. Obviously I prefer a more subtle approach, not just a, "Hey let's go dimension hopping even though we just met," one.

A slow burn start if you will.
<Snipped quote by Caldizar>

I'm just trying to come up with some hook without relying on an interdimensional hand of fate. I'm sure there's something or another.

Which I understand, but in this case interversal fate literally plays a major role. It's not so strong as, say, something in Marvel, but it is there and it is pulling him to his destiny. That obviously being accepting his place as a Living God and returning to his home Verse. So don't feel too bothered if it seems contrived, because it's meant to be to a certain extent.

In a more concrete example, fate would also find ways for him to use his powers as well, something he wants to avoid.
<Snipped quote by Dark Cloud>

I'm surprised there aren't more of those.

<Snipped quote by Caldizar>

Are there any other supernatural entities in his world?

Nope
<Snipped quote by Dark Cloud>

How's that going?

<Snipped quote by Caldizar>

Sure, but I'd like to make it at least relatively reasonable.

Understandable, though in that case we could simply chalk it up to destiny since that's a major theme in Zachary's story.
<Snipped quote by Caldizar>

Can you post more details about what might make the dimension notable and/or worth visiting? A random visit might seem contrived.

Honestly it's a regular Earth in a rather regular dimension. He's there to hide from his destiny and not use his powers after all, so some contrivance is probably unavoidable.

If you want to connect with an existing human of mine, I might be able to finagle something. If you want someone new, that's easy.

If you don't mind bringing out an old human, sure.
