Ele watched the exchange between the man and the boy, completely mystified by the words streaming out of his mouth. What one earth was nitro? A block? Shaking her head, Ele looked around the store, there wasn't much here that she would be interested in. Looking down at her phone, she sighed and found a place out of the way in the store and sat, playing a game on her phone. Having to wait two hours was going to kill her. Maybe she should just risk the rest of the drive? Looking at the time again, Ele let her head fall back, it had only been a minute. Ever impatient, Ele stood up,
"Right, thanks for the advice!" She called to the guy as she walked out of the store and back out to her car. The parking lot was still fairly empty, most people being smart and staying inside on a day like this. Once in her car, Ele blasted the hot air and gripped the wheel again as she pulled out of the lot and back onto the road.
A while later, Ele realized what a mistake she had made by leaving the store and not waiting for the auto shop. The snow was getting worse, Ele could hardly see out of her windscreen. Leaning forward and squinting, she shook her head, this was impossible, but she was too far from anywhere now to turn around. As she tried to see out of the window, the little rental car suddenly swerved, hitting a patch of ice and sliding across the road, despite Ele's attempts to correct. Screaming in fear, Ele let go of the wheel as her car went off the road and down an embankment. There was a crunch of metal, and Ele jerked forward as the airbag popped up into her face. A sharp pain split across Ele's forehead but before she could do anything, the world dimmed to black.
