"That's why this baby lasts me all night,"

Ele said, holding up her still mostly full glass. She took another sip when Amber came over as the music changed to an upbeat tune. With a little convincing, Ele was soon on the dance floor, being showing how to do the Charleston. It didn't take long before the two women were laughing and dancing happily, tripping over their own feet.
"Don't question my ability to drink a full grown man under the table,"

Ele said with a smirk then shook her head,

"But I know my limits and tonight is not the night to push them. Between this bump on my head and being in a new place, getting drunk is not a wise choice."
"I know bar tricks too,"

Ele said easily, growing up with her mother and starting to drink long before she was legal had taught Ele how to be crafty and get free drinks. Even now when she was out with her friends, Ele had no problem earning drinks with some fun and impressive tricks.

"I like this drink because it doesn't get me drunk right away. But if Amber sends more shots this way then there's no guarantee I will remain sober."
"Oh,"

Ele said in surprise, her eyes landing on the suggestive drink. Looking around, Ele searched the bar until she saw Amber grinning at her from the bar. Making a face at her, Ele defiantly put her hands behind her back and bent over the shooter glass, fitting her mouth over the rim and tossing her head back to down the shot.

Setting the glass back down to applause, Ele looked at Tyler,

"Yeah, I've had a Manhattan. I prefer Long Island."

She shrugged and took a sip of her iced tea. Ele was well on her way to being three sheets to the wind, but she didn't care.
"Just drawing out boundaries,"

Ele replied, taking a sip of her own drink. The sudden tension between them made Ele uncomfortable, but Ele wanted to make sure that Tyler knew where they stood. He had been nice to her all day, and Ele didn't want there to be any misunderstanding between expectations between them. Despite Tyler's reassurances that his behavior was common out here, Ele still doubted and had her guards up. It was hard to let them down.
The overly friendly waitress made Ele chuckle, imagining the girl in the 20's and how she would fit in quite well. It was the words that she said to Tyler, and his response that made Ele raise an eyebrow at Tyler, her face very clearly saying,

Cool it, buddy.

Before she turned her attention to the waitress and gave her a smile,

"I'll have a Long Island iced tea please."
"I thought this was a theme party!"

Ele exclaimed as she walked into the speakeasy. It was like they were transported back in time to the 1920's with the music, the bar, and how they had to access the speakeasy. Calming down from being carried, Ele smiled brightly at Tyler,

"This is so cool!"

She said, following Vale and Amber farther into the bar.
Don't freak, don't freak, don't freak...

Ele chanted in her head as she gripped tightly to Tyler, her eyes clenched closed. The walk seemed to take forever for Ele, but when Tyler finally released her on the deck, Ele gratefully slid off and took a couple steps away.

"Thank you."

Ele said, her cheeks pink. Inside, Ele accepted the shoes from Amber and put them on with happiness. She thanked Amber and took a breath, standing on her own two feet.
"Here's hoping it works,"

Ele muttered, tossing the rest back expertly. She had done a lot of shots in her time, and the rum was no different. Taking a breath and feeling a little more relaxed, Ele nodded at Tyler,

"Okay, let's do this!"

She said, trying for a positive tone. It was only a few minutes, she could handle it. Tyler was a good guy, he was safe, he wouldn't hurt her.
Ele accepted the glass gratefully and sipped the liquid, letting it soothe her and warm her from the inside out. The spiciness of the rum and vanilla aftertastes was pleasant and Ele liked it. Taking another sip, she swirled the rest of the rum in her glass,

"Just a warning, I'm not a fan of people holding or grabbing me."

She said, her eyes trained on the liquid in the glass. There was no way Ele was going to tell Tyler why, but she felt obligated to warn him before hand, plus the alcohol made it easier to say the words,

"So if I freak out, just know that it has nothing to do to you."
