"Wait! You get to sit back? They why did they make me hang on?"

Ele looked shocked at the idea that the worker had made her hang on, but the look was quickly replaced with a smile as she grabbed the double tube and walked up the stairs in front of Tyler again,

"And then food?"

She asked, her stomach rumbling as if agreeing. Ele laughed and placed a hand over the flat surface of her stomach,

"Someone agrees!"
"Says you! I wasn't cramped at all"

Ele grinned as she stood up and put her hands on her lips,

"You're like, a foot taller than me! You're going to be so squiched back there!"
Ele nodded, leaning down and cupping water over her legs to warm them back up. She was coming to see Tyler as a steady place while her life was being rocked with the accident, her concussion, and how he had defended her against her boss made Ele realize he was a strong, safe harbor. He wasn't the storms that had battered her in the past, but Ele was still guarded. She was fiercely independent, and relying on someone scared her more than being alone,

"Want to go on the slide again?"

She asked, looking at Tyler from the corner of her eye,

"With this water proof tape on I can be in front this time."
"but there's a difference between being friendly and doing what you're doing for me."

Ele sighed and looked down at the water, kicking her legs a little bit,

"I guess I should listen to that old saying, 'don't look a gift horse in the mouth'. I guess what I'm really getting at is... Thank you, for helping me. You could have left me at the hospital, but you're sticking around. In a new place, that's really helpful."
"That would be great,"

Ele said, sitting still for the nurse as she changed the patch. Ele looked at Tyler, a thankful smile on her lips. When the nurse was finished and Ele patched up, she followed Tyler out,

"I still don't quite understand this whole 'nice guy' thing,"

She admitted as she found a spot to sit on the edge of the pool, her legs dangling in the water. Looking at Tyler, Ele gave a teasing smile,

"But really, are you like this with everyone, or just girls?"
"Oh,"

Ele said, raising her hand to her forehead and moving to get out of the pool. She waded out and stood on the side,

"Is there a first aid kit nearby?"
Hesitating at the direction to hold onto Tyler, Ele gingerly put her arms around him and positioned herself accordingly. She could feel Tyler's chest rising and falling with his breaths, and even his heartbeat under her palm. AS they were launched into the tube, Ele squeaked and soon they were shooting through the dark.

"Oh my gosh!"

Ele gasped as they rocked back and forth and sped down and into the light. As they were sprayed, Ele laughed and ducked her head behind Tyler, her head between his shoulders.

"That was so fun!"
"No problem!"

Ele said happily, jogging up the steps in front of Tyler and getting in line. Closer to the top was a pile of single and double innertubes. Ele grabbed a double, taking into consideration that Tyler was probably right about the splashing,

"I have no shame in using you as my splash guard, by the way."
Ele did feel bad that Tyler had taken her here and she was unable to take full advantage of the park, but when he pointed out the kid coming down in the tube, her face lit up. Instead of plunging underwater, the tube kept the kid afloat and out of the water,

"That would work!"

She said excitedly, straightening up and smiling.

"Want to go get in line?"
Ele shrugged and did a few circles around then went to stand next to Tyler.

"I want to, but the swim cap hurts my stitches, so unless I can keep myself from going underwater I may not be able to go today."

She looked apologetically at Tyler,

"Sorry."
