"You're always so abrupt..."

Ele,muttered, shaking her head and getting to work sanding the rest of the car.

It was a few hours later and Ele was sitting in the house at the computer, her letter of resignation printed and signed on the desk, and she had a folder on the computer desktop labeled "Ele's Folder" containing the letter, a draft to her landlord, and various applications to different art galleries.

In the car, Ele thought about it, yes the insurance for the car was just for safety, but she had never shared anything with anyone before. Her name had always stood alone on a policy, lease, credit card statement... It had always been Ele Davis, and no one else.

Now the insurance card represented the now shared policy, Ele's name wasn't alone anymore, she was tied to someone and it scared her. Their relationship was moving so fast and was going so deep that Ele knew if anything were to happen she would be shattered, damaged so completely that she would never be fixed.

At home, Ele watched as Tyler secured the plate to the Miata and she bit her lip. Now it was officially street legal, and even though it was "her" baby, and Tyler's name was on the title, it felt like "their" car.

Biting her lip and crossing her arms across her middle, Ele tried to calm the fluttering in her stomach, there was no reason to run, no reason to be afraid, it was just the learned response to commitment, but this time Ele fought to stay.

Walking hand in hand with Tyler into the office, Ele's stomach flipped as Tyler filled out the paperwork then held it out to her. Sliding into Tyler's lap, Ele took the papers and read them over before signing her name.

Exhaling a breath she had been holding, Ele kissed Tyler's cheek,

"That feels like a super official binding life together contract, not just an insurance policy."

Unashamedly Ele had been rocking out in the truck while she waited for Tyler, but now she turned down the radio and looked at Tyler,

"The policy? You want me on the insurance?"

The whole thing was still new to Ele, being in a relationship and sharing things. Especially this early and this fast."

"Sure, let me get dressed and then we can go."

Ele changed quickly, choosing a strapless sundress and sandals. Putting her hair in a braid, Ele went back out to Tyler,

"Okay, let's go!"

Ele nodded eagerly, taking her plate to the sink,

"I will definitely do that! I'll bust through what I need to do so I can pay attention to my baby."

About to protest as Tyler put his shirt on, the words caught in her throat though when he mentioned his,fans being women,

"Well, they're just fans. I'm your,biggest fan."

Ele said stubbornly, then her,expression softened to talk about jer work,

"Not horrifically. I need to buy tickets, write my letter, call my landlord, and send applications but all of that can be interrupted. Why?"

Staring with her,mouth open, Ele had to blink a couple times to come back to earth,

"You are dangerous to my health..."

She muttered, looking Tyler up and down, her eyes filled with want,

"But damn you are fine to look at!"

Ele flexed again in a different position,

"'Bare' arms!"

Ele sat up straight and flexed her arms, sticking her tongue out at Tyler,

"I would demolish anyone! Even you!"
