"Why?!"

Ele squeaked around a bite of pizza, curving away from Tyler's poking fingers. Eating was helping her recover a bit more, though her head still ached. Swallowing and making a face at Tyler, Ele reached over and poked him in the stomach,

"Don't poke the invalid! I'm fragile!"

"If you're fragile, then I'm a fairy princess."

Kate muttered under her breath.

Making a face, Ele shook her head,

"Your side can be Hobby Time, but I'm going to name my gallery something else."

Watching as Tyler texted Kate, Ele smiled. Her best friend would probably appear like a whirlwind once she knew Ele was awake. For now though, Ele was happy to have the time alone with Tyler.

A few hours later, after nurses and doctors had come and gone, Ele had been given a clean bill of health but would be held one more night for precautions. Kate also made an appearance, bringing pizza with her.

Ele corrected Tyler gently, kissing him,

"We will pay. But that is amazing! I can't believe this is really going to happen!"

Smiling brightly, even with tears in her eyes, Ele felt beyond happy,

"What will we call it?"

The news shocked Ele into silence, they had the store? It was bought outright? Different emotions flooded over Ele, but a big smile broke over her face before she reached up and hugged Tyler tightly,

"Babe! That's fantastic! We really have the store?"

Leaning back, Ele covered Tyler's face in kisses, grateful to have such a wonderful man.

Looking confused, Ele tipped her head to the side in confusion. Last she remembered Tyler had been looking at places.

Nodding, Ele leaned back a little so she could see Tyler's face. It was the face of the man that she was madly in love with, and the thought that she could have died without seeing him one last time made fresh tears come to her eyes,

"My mom is still out there, she'll be pissed that Tony is arrested."

Taking a shuddering breath, Ele leaned back into her pillows, wincing as pain shot through her,

"I just want to go home."

Sobbing in his arms Ele cried until she pulled herself together to ask,

"Why is Vale coming?"

It wasn't until hours later, as the sun was creeping up the horizon, that Ele moved. Drawing in a deep breath and her eyelids fluttered. It felt like she was coming out of a very deep sleep, and a whimper escaped her as dull, pulsing pain coursed through her,

"Tyler?"

She whispered, her voice breaking as her eyes opened slowly and searching the room for a moment before landing on Tyler. Immediately her eyes filled with tears as she reached her arms out to him,

"Oh Tyler! I was so scared!"

"Thanks dude,"

Kate said with a nod, picking up her bag and putting it over her shoulder. Going to the door, Kate paused and looked at Tyler, smiling widely,

"Oh and, nice to finally meet you in person, Tyler. I'm Kate."

Waving over her shoulder, Kate left the room to go back to her apartment.

"Well, considering he's handcuffed to his hospital bed and a police officer is outside of his room two floors above us, I would be impressed if he managed to try again. But I appreciate the not so veiled death threat, as I've been sorely tempted to rip out his throat, even without another try."

Putting her hands on her lower back, Kate stretched and popped her back,

"I'm exhausted, but I wasn't about to leave Ele-Bell for a moment, in case she woke up. Now that you're here though, I may catch a taxi home for a couple hours. Maybe our stubborn lady will wake up for you."
