I have an RP idea in mind where you play either a militarized task force designed to eliminate paranormal activity, or something akin to the Umbrella Secret Service.

I am trying to worldbuild god civs akin to the Time Lords or Xeelee, but so far I've yet to get anything concrete down. It is a tad frustrating, but I'll come up with something eventually. I hope.

@Obscene: And that is true. I might try that with a character I'm making for a fic actually. Though they'll be no-nonsense in a largely jovial kind of way.

Yeah. Static was just what popped into my head as the closest descriptor since those are less focused on the character's arc or internal struggle. Not the best wording to use admittedly.

I just want more protagonists with that same resolve, or barring that ones who aren't confused young adults looking to find their place in life analogues.

Adrian: I appreciate.. your concern. My allegiance remains... to King. He will place me.. as he sees.. fit. Perhaps... this is a test... for me as well.

Hmm. Well, I suppose I should go help your leader since he's having so much trouble.

*Teleports back to the battle*
>Been playing Worldbox recently. Had to usher in a nuclear holocaust just to stop the MUSH spore infection from overrunning every kingdom on the planet. I've a screenshot of the map below. A massive human empire occupied the continent in the northwestern corner, elves occupied the islands and such to the south, and dwarves occupied the lands to the east just below the orcs, who occupied the northeastern corner of the world. I started the infection in the dwarven lands, and it soon spread via ship to the humans and then the elves. The shroomies also overtook their orc neighbors as well, infecting them and swelling their fungal ranks. Now the only kingdom left is a small dwarven one, holding onto what little hope remains in the blighted wastes of a post-shitake world...

I hate all my creations equally thanks to perfectionism.

So I can't really say what's the most cringe, both of my own work or that of others. Everything I've written could be improved, as could everything I've ever read to varying degrees. Or rewritten at the very least. As could my sleep schedule so I'm not constantly writing while sleep deprived.

I'm afraid I can't contribute much beyond that.

this is.. not an ideal combat.. situation. My master feels... this battle... is mostly his, alone. We have been tested... he feels... he needed the excercise.

*a raspy cough comes through my respirator, and I look down to my hands*

but... you're right. I am... no diplomat. I am... a Warrior.

And it is the natural lot of warriors, of soldiers, to fight.

*My expression darkens*

I know this lesson well, for I lived it. When next you get the chance, do remind your master that single combat is a really stupid way of going about things, no matter the reason. You'd probably have been able to keep that guy occupied long enough for your leader to remove whatever's keeping him alive were you out there instead of over here.

Adrian: *clearly growing frustrated with your comments, holds his tongue and grows silent for a moment*

I should be... aiding the battle... not tending to.. a stranger.

Now that we can agree on. Seriously, if all of you guys actually coordinated while fighting you'd probably get a lot farther.

Adrian: You will remain in here with us... until the battle here is done.

You're really not good at negotiating are you?

*Shakes head*

Almost makes me wish I was talking to your boss instead.

*glares at you*

you hold something... that wasnt given to you. Property... of the Amaranthine.

*the color of space fades, and the area aroudn the battlefield turns a deep purple, with swirling tones*

*Makes a finger gun*

That much is obvious. Before you try to kill me, however, do remember that there's several ways this could go. For one, I could continue to ransom it, keeping it from your grasp until you give me knowledge of this Amaranthine, a rather dismal prospect for what I assume to be a comrade. On the other hand I could honor my current agreement with your leader over there-

*Jerks thumb at Aeron*

And help you kill that scythe wielding guy. Or I could just keep it and hide away somewhere until I've uncovered all of its secrets myself. Not all that difficult of a prospect given my intellect. Of course, whichever path I choose ultimately depends on what you decide to do here and now.

*Grins*

So choose wisely friend.
