║ Appearance ║Jimena’s a little over 5’6’’, weighing a 134 lbs thanks to Tití Mili’s cooking. She doesn’t have a killer body, but she’s doesn’t think she’s too bad either, considering she doesn’t really work out much. She’s got the naturally tan skin tone of her mother, but has always been a bit on the pale side when compared to the rest of her family. When in the light, her eyes have a bit of her father’s green tint. She keeps her dark brown hair shoulder length, never really doing much with it. She lets it dry naturally and might brush it in the morning, but that’s about it. She puts as much effort in her makeup. Concealer just about does it for her, but she’ll gladly slap on some eyeliner and mascara if the situation calls for it. Her dress is always casual. Jeans, a t-shirt, and a jacket usually does it for her. She’s never been too proud of her looks, and she’s not looking forward to everyone in camp being ten times hotter than she is.
║ Personality ║ The Negative:
- Cynical
- Judgmental (particularly of herself)
- Standoffish
More in depth:
Jimena’s role model in life is her mother. As such, she tries to work hard at her academics, hoping to one day deserve all of her mother’s struggles to provide for her. She is extremely responsible and dedicated to whatever goal she puts before her. Her academic pursuits drew her to the International Baccalaureate program, which currently tests and pushes her to her limits. She’s spent all of her life working while her cousins always goof around. Though she holds her cousins no resentment, she still grew to disdain people who don’t intend to work for a good life, especially when they do have one. Like her dad.
Jimena has for the most part been a pretty successful person, though she hates making a show of it. In fact, she absolutely hates prideful people, humility being extremely important in a person for her. Having been a part of the IB program, she’s come to know her fair share of elitist scum who make up the upper echelons of society, those who don’t have a worthy or humble bone in their body. She expects to find people like them all over Aces High.
All work and no play has made her a bit of a dull girl. She is very introverted, and socializing has always been a problem for her. She can be very cynical and judgmental of others, which can be extremely off-putting initially. But it’s not impossible to get past all that. If you earn her respect and show an intention to keep a friendship, Jimena will be just about the most dedicated friend you can ask for. She’ll love you like family and treat you like it. She’ll gladly be a shoulder to cry on, but she won’t think twice about slapping you back to reality with her infamous pragmatism. Just never call her Jema. That’s her family’s pet name for her. Jimena’s fine.

║ Brief History ║Jimena Deyo Negrón is the daughter of local rich boy Steven Deyo and Puerto Rican immigrant Eloisa Negrón. Eloisa moved with her family from Puerto Rico to Colorado with her family in search for job opportunities. There, she met Steve when she served him in a diner, and it wasn’t long before she got pregnant. When Jimena was born, Steve left her and her mother with a kiss on the cheek and a wad of money. Jimena didn’t miss him in the least, but she felt the hole he left in her life through her mother’s multiple jobs. With Eloisa out working all the time, Jimena – along with her four cousins – was mostly raised by her aunt, Tití Mili.
Around a year ago, Jimena’s dad started trying to become a part of her life. Instead of cards with money, he sent two tickets to football games and other events, so they could “spend more time as a family.” He started taking her to the nicest restaurants in the area and inviting her to go clothes-shopping with him, as well as to a shooting range (which she actually kinda enjoyed). He even took her on a trip to Puerto Rico, the first in her life, though their stay was limited to the luxuries of the upscale San Juan area. She didn’t even get to actually meet her family in Mayagüez. Jimena never really believed her father truly wanted to grow close to her. He probably just wanted to clear his own conscience.
Most recently, he invited her to attend an expensive summer camp. She said no, of course, but that didn't stop him from paying for her attendance anyways. After months of her dad bugging her, Jimena eventually agreed. That didn’t mean she had to be happy about it. She wasn’t. But it was for her mom’s sake. Her being out of the house for a month or two meant her mother wouldn’t have to pay to feed her for that time. So if having to hang around snotty and conceited rich kids meant taking some of the burden off of her mom’s shoulders, then it was worth it.
