Currently accepting!Ages ago, there once stood a mighty empire named Egyel. The empire was ruled by an everlasting king, a man who his subjects believed had become a god in his own right. His rule over his kingdom was absolute, and his word was law; he never aged, never fell to an usurper's sword, and held his position with an iron grip, so that not even the sons he had sired in his lifetime could grasp the power he held. What he did as a ruler and how he did it remain a mystery to even scholars even today, save for one face: One day, he simply disappeared, as if he had never been there in the first place. The years following the king's disappearance nearly destroyed the kingdom from the inside-out, as his "successors" tore it into pieces as they fought for the king's former seat of power. Former family, noble houses, orders of knights, everyone rushed to fill the vacuum that was left by the ancient king's disappearance.
The fighting only lasted a year, yet hundreds of men, women, and Pokemon had fallen. As the smoke cleared, two men stood among the rubble: Maccus, head of House Lugere and Hidan, leader of the Ayero family guard. With the help of two mythical beasts, they had wrested control of the two land masses land that once formed Egyel. It was not an easy decision, but they came to form a truce. For the sake of their land and people, they would cease any fighting and focus on reparations. And thus began a new age of two countries: Lugere, lead by Maccus, and Ayero, lead by Hidan.
It has been many, many years since then. Tensions are rising between the two countries once again, the truce having deteriorated throughout the generations. Now, the descendants of Maccus and Hidan seek to take what they think is rightfully theirs. But for now, things are as they always were, and life goes on for most people- farmers harvest their crops, warriors train, and squires struggle to follow in their knight's footsteps. Life is normal, peaceful, even.
Well, for everyone except the mysterious third party: the Morphs. They first began appearing around the time of Maccus and Hidan, although some people believe that Morphs had always been there, out of sight. Only recently have Morphs become much more common, common enough to become a problem. Morphs are humans who have been blessed (or cursed?) with the ability to shift into a Pokemon form. They are, at best, feared for their powers, and at worst they are hunted down and killed for being dangerous and demonic abominations.
Now, the Morph's numbers are dwindling. Some have decided that they will not stand and watch their kind get wiped out and have begun striking back, some have decided to simply hide. Some have even turned against their own in exchange for their safety.
Needless to say, there isn't only one war to worry about. What will you do in these trying times?
The WorldLugere- Lead by the descendants of Maccus, it uses the image of a Lugia as a crest. The lands are cold and unforgiving, even more so to the north. Covered in snow-capped mountains and pine forests. Lugere has established extensive trade networks further north and fishing is an important part of their lives. The people of Lugere are hardy and used to the cold.
Ayero- Lead by the chosen successors of Hidan, uses the image of Ho-Oh as a crest. Almost a polar opposite to Lugere, Ayero is covered in a light blanket of warm wind throughout the year. Covered in moors, fields, rolling hills, and thin forests. Ayero's people are accustomed to the warmth and use it to take advantage of the crops that are grown there.
The InhabitantsHumans: These should be a bit familiar. The most common being, aside from Pokemon.
Pokemon: An all-encompassing term for the various creatures that exist throughout the world. Pokemon are often tamed by humans for companionship, combat, or manual labor. Taming is done the old fashioned way, through force or friendship. Everyone save the most capable tamers can only handle a single Pokemon at a time. Sometimes they can be found with odd colors, though they are not as rare as they will be in the future- roughly one in twenty have an odd coloration. Some Pokemon, due to their power or rarity, are seen a legendary creatures. Occasionally one such creature will ally with a human, but that is rare. Consult the Legendary Grimoire below (WIP, incomplete) for more information.
Morphs: Humans who can change forms to that of a Pokemon. They are bound to a single evolutionary line for their entire lives, something that is passed down from either the mother or the father. In their human forms they are almost indistinguishable from humans, though certain Pokemon are particularly sensitive to their true nature, and are used as hounds to sniff out the Morphs. They can shift at will, though quick shifts between forms can cause pain and minor deformation. Extreme emotions may cause a Morph to shift into their Pokemon form. They can communicate with Pokemon while shifted, although not very effectively. They can reproduce with other Morphs and humans, but not with Pokemon. The child of a Morph will always be a Morph.
Rules- All the basic guild rules apply here, as always.
- While I am the GM, I am fallible. If you are dissatisfied with something, just send me a private message. This also applies if you have any problems with the Co-GM. Just keep that sort of stuff off the thread itself.
- This RP will have death, and probably romance. Just don't overdo it and at the most, just fade-to-black.
- Also politics
- Permission is required for anyone with a legendary Pokemon
- No, you can't have a shiny legendary.
- I might place bans on legendaries or shinies in the future if suddenly everyone and their mother has one.
- Morphs cannot be legendary Pokemon
- Major brownie points for using a more obscure Pokemon
- Try not to get too upset
Character SheetsMorphs cannot have Pokemon allies from the start. Humans can have up to one Pokemon. Just be sure to keep things sensible. Also, don't forget to keep the QQcode, makes things easier to read for me..

If a name is underlined, it means that they cannot be chosen as player Pokemon. Bolded names mean that the Pokemon's already been taken.
Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres - Mythical bird Pokemon that are said to rule over Oceans, War, and Storm, respectively. All three are bound to the three most influential noble houses in , and their competitive nature extends to their houses and act aggressively. The most common legendary Pokemon, there are at least 10 roaming Lugere at the moment, most of which serve alongside nobles. The others... well, they're known to become territorial once in a while.
Entei, Suicune, and Raikou - Mythical beasts tied to the domains of Loyalty, Peace, and Storms, respectively. All three are bound to the three noble houses closest to the king of Ayero. All three houses tend to cooperate, but trend towards inaction. Second most common legends. Seven of each, all serving noble houses loyally.
Mew - The All-Mother, thought to be the origin of all life. Very rarely appears to humans, and to those that she does show herself to are either blessed or in need of salvation. Not bound to any person or noble house, she roams the land without much purpose.
Lugia and Ho-Oh - Guardians of the seas and skies. Legends speak of them creating hurricanes that could wipe out entire kingdoms and bring the dead back to life, but their power appears to have become muted ever since they made pacts with the ancient king's family. Obviously, bound to the main royal families of Lugere and Ayero. There are perhaps three or four of each, the infants are taken care of in complete secrecy. Each prospective king grows up alongside them.
Celebi - Odd sprite-like beings that appear around forests to ensure that they are not corrupted or destroyed outside of natural influence. Said to travel through time to prevent catastrophe. Usually bound to shrines, some of them seem to have obtained a sense of wanderlust and travel with those that they deem pure. Celebi do not interact with each other except in moments of incredible crisis, to see two of them in the same place is an omen of doom. In reality, there is only one Celebi, all the others are the same Celebi from a different timeline or a different place in time.
The Golems - Golems made of stone, steel, or ice. Many people do not consider them legendary Pokemon due to their history and their oddly commonplace nature. They are the creations of an ancient titan, locked away by an ancient civilizations in fear of its power. They can only be awoken by rare artifacts, and are eternally loyal to the person who awakened them until they are ordered to become dormant once again. Usually used by nobles and merchants as guards or bodyguards, currently over 50 have been unearthed in ruins. Some have even been active.
Regigigas - Legends speak of an ancient titan who formed the land after a cataclysmic battle between the land and the sea. His creations aided humanity's development, yet something drove him mad. He attempted to destroy that which he created, and was sealed beneath miles of earth. Even now, it is said that sits in his prison, waiting for his revenge. Now, nobody even knows his name.
Latios and Latias - Long recognized as symbols of true love and great fortune. Latios represents the hero, and latias his fate. Often worshipped by adventurers and hopeless romantics. They do occasionally produce offspring, and entrust the eggs to human couples that they deem worthy. Strangely, two pairs have never been seen at the same place.
Groudon, Rayquaza, and Kyogre - The masters and creators of the land, air, and sea. When the world was young, Groudon and Kyogre fought endlessly until they were stopped by Rayquaza and placed in a deep slumber, under the land and seas that they once created while Rayquaza retreated above the clouds. Only Rayquaza has been seen in the past, perhaps once or twice in all of history. Curiously, the three noble houses that chose them as their patron gods have fallen, or have began to fall, in some way or another.
Jirachi - The slumbering genies. These creatures are very rarely seen, and even more rarely do they wake up. There are around five scattered through the world, but it is believed that there are many more hidden within caves or tucked into inconspicuous corners of storehouses. A Jirachi can grant any wish once they are awake, and then return to their peaceful slumber. They can only be woken up by a tremendous expressions of power, intelligence, art, or cunning, though the exact thing needed varies from Jirachi to Jirachi. Jirachis have come to be considered family treasures, and are guarded to prevent the unscrupulous from getting a wish.
Deoxys? - An odd being from lands beyond human comprehension. Nobody knows what it is, what it wants, or why it does it. Most people aren't even aware of its existance, and consider it a boogeyman used by parents to keep their children away from dangerous places. Some claim that the being has communicated with them in the past.
Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf - The Lake Guardians, a trio of spirits that inhabit lakes, the concepts off Knowledge, Emotion, and Willpower were born from them. They each have the ability to grant those qualities as a boon, but also have the ability to take them away and leave someone an emotionless husk. Their true purpose in the world is unknown, the only thing they do is lay within sacred lakes and dissuade intruders from entering them. There are many Lake Guardians around the world, but every single one of them is part of a single collective conscience. All Uxies are part of a single Uxie, all Azelfs are one Azelf, etc.
