He had no idea on what nargles were, but Jason was pretty sure he didn't have some STD, so he didn't bother arguing with the girl, already sitting down after lugging his large trunk in the space above their seats. He felt pretty uncomfortable, sure, being in a room filled with strangers. At least the compartment wasn't filled to the brim, and he was close to the window, so he could glance out without any bumping or awkwardly staring past a person's face. The magic the girl displayed was pretty cool, but after seeing his mom use such things commonly throughout their house - once she received her license back from the Ministry - he didn't really feel anything more than curiosity when the chick had used her own magic. Taking his iPhone out of his pocket, Jason flicked through the locked screen, feeling a smirk building on his face once he saw the few texts from his friends.
'Finally at the wizarding palace, my king?'
'Oi, mate, you better not ditch us for Gandalf.'
'I'm tellin' Rosie that you're not replying!'
His mom had told him technology wouldn't work at this school, but she had managed to get him magically-resistant phone covers from a place called knockturn alley - apparently, she was pretty familiar with the people there. Muggleborn wizards with nothing to do but make life harder for the Purebloods.
At least he'd have music at this school.
