@LeeRoyThat rematch may come sooner than expected. I can't imagin Shin has had very much time to heal his pride when my post literally picks up seconds after their fight xD.

[@Everyone]Oh. Posted btw :)
"I hope we meet again on friendlier terms." He pulled the trigger, and they vanished in a cryogenic blast that left behind an icy wind and beautiful glacial spires. A cerulean blue jetstream streaked through the afternoon sky like a comet
Excerpt - Shincoco Vs. Corban

Corban awoke with fluttering lashes on a hard, smooth surface. Just a few feet away from him were the burned out remains of a complex geometic diagram, branded into the white marble. He lazily brought his left hand to milky-crimsom eye level, inspecting the Guardian Wristwatch. Its smooth, crystalline faces glinted against the light it emitted of a holographic panel of techno jargain. It would be a senseless jumble of random symbol and number sequences to the uninitiated, but to Corban it was an advanced coding language. Like any language, it simply needed to be learned.

He stood up."You were off by a bit. You couldn't correct your targeting?"

<You made me the spell-target without informing me. Your histrionics got you into this.>

"Screw you. I thought you got the signal! Now, uh... just where the hell are we?"

The watch went silent. Ishtalle was clearly not going to help him navigate after that little fiasco. If he wanted to learn anything, he'd have to take a hands on approach. That worked for him anyways. Sauntering off through the vast crossroads of cuisines and realms, he made his way toward the locals
I very much look forward to that rematch. Corban never forgets, either.
I genuinely lol'd at that video. Couldn't have said it better myself. Interrupt chains are real bitches @_@.

That aside, I had a genuine level of fun I haven't had in quite some time. Whenever you'd like to try it again let me know.
The point of her leading blade was only centimeters from his heart when he finished his resignation. She pulled back sharply at the last second, transitioning into a jerky backward mid-air somersault. They would both land on opposite ends of the arena into patches of prestine foliage. How amazing it had not been destroyed in the battle! By intention or nature, neither of them seemed to want to ruin what beauty there was to be had here. That required restraint.

In a flash of light Crystalle split into the sum of her parts. In her place was now a dark robed mage, this time all man, and a platinum haired woman. Her skin was pale-blue. He may have thought it familiar. "Very well. I'll be forthcoming and say you've earned my respect, Shin. I was beginning to think planning three steps ahead was a wasted effort. You've given me hope."

With a smirk and a curtsey from the man and sort-of woman respectively, they stood upright and Corban pointed to the sky with his fingers curled into the shape of a gun. He cocked the 'hammer'.

"I hope we meet again on friendlier terms." He pulled the trigger, and they vanished in a cryogenic blast that left behind an icy wind and beautiful glacial spires. A cerulean blue jetstream streaked through the afternoon sky like a comet.
Two themes inspired the hapenings of my post. They are:

1. Logic would dictate that as long as physical contact was made, the laws of (meta?)electrical transfer would still cause it to recieve the charge regardless

2. My attack was prepped, and yours self-admittedly a quickdraw. This would naturally factor into how much the weapon could reflect on such short notice.

Edit: just out of curiosity, how can a physical object 'strike' a gas? I get its magic and all, but I'm legitimately curious if there is any method to that nadness. Gases are naturally effusive and dispersive. Hitting a gas would mean hitting every single particle of it at once. Gases also tend to mold around physical objects.
This was all starting to seem awefully familiar. A single warrior facing against unspeakable beasts... and slaying them? Why, with the way she carried her sword and felled his Hydra, she was beginning to truly feel like the kin of Beowulf!

His weapon could have stopped the likes of dragon curbstomps, but that would not stop its monstrous foot from touching the staff. Even if it repelled water, unless it possessed some form of intangible and invisible barrier, it would still get wet. Despite however many bells and whistles it could tote, this would not change the weapons supernatural condictivity, nor fully blunt the charge. What was reflected would only be a minimal fraction of what still coursed through the surface of the Hydra.

The weakened beam would split upon her outstretched crystal sword on its return trip, dissipating into a harmless gust of radiation at her sides. The magical echo and crystalline structure would make it naturally non-conductive on both a spiritual and mechanical level. Shin would be far less lucky on his end of things.

With the tables once again flipped in her favor, she'd follow up exactly as she would before save a single change - this time she brandished two blades at once. Her strikes would come in uneven time and would fall upon his cardinal axes where it would be hardest to parry. If he attempted to somehow course-correct, she would as well.

Utilizing her superb memory, an indespensible tool for the learned mage, her last spell was metaphorically loaded into a cartridge; the ethereal bolt and her swords respectively. At the first sign of his weapon re-emerging, she'd be primed to strike it down once more.
I'm interested to see what this little ace is if it's got you so confident.
A mediun-fast electric burn is still instantaneous by human perception. I mean, its probably better to not get too technical about exact speeds because then I'd have to start crunching signal speeds and enchanted electron drift velocity numbers >_>.

But good, good. Next!
Well the lightning is not coursing through the physical medium but the metaphysical. In this regard the staff is literally a lightning rod as opposed to the much less conductive wood.

Even if that were the case, the area closest to her is where the trap is localized, so all the closing portions nearest her would be stopped anyway, and those farther away would not be a threat.
