Delilah was breathing heavily, tears running down her face. She let him to with her arms but held the sleeping boy up with her wings. She leaned away from him and tried to catch her breath. It was at this point that she finally surveyed the room. The chalk on the ground was looking pretty suspicious, and from what she had learned it looked like a fairly high level set of runes. She frowned and looked down at the sleeping body in her lap, "Now how did you learn that..." She murmured and then sighed, "Well we'll deal with that later." And then she stood, picking him up as she did so.

She was a lot stronger than her small frame looked and it was fairly easy to pick him up. Delilah had to stay in very good shape to be able to fly after all. She carried him over to his bed and tucked him into it before going to pick up her basket and sitting on the end of his bed, waiting for him to wake up so she could make sure he was really alright. She needed to find out the purpose of the runes on the floor anyways, she had never been very good with the things.

"Woah..." Melissa stares in awe at her wings. "That's pretty neat. Can you fly with them?" She asks Delilah quizzically. She hadn't seen anyone with a physical power before, and the majesticness of her wings made her slightly jealous, though she also remembered the problems that could come with those wings. "Last I saw Keegan he was in the Weapons Training room. I think you'd like him. He's somewhat like you I'm a way, being really friendly and all."

Delilah smile turned relived as she nodded and laugh, "Of course I can fly with them, what good would they be otherwise?" She teased Melissa lightly. Then she looked at her with curious, wide eyes, "Weapons training? You mean like with actually weapons? They give those to children?" She was starting to become doubtful of this institution. That didn't really sound very safe for an orphanage.
Delilah hummed to herself as she walked through the boys dorm. Being on the student council was such a pain sometimes, but patrolling and helping the new kids and giving them welcoming gifts was pretty fun. Looking at her list she saw that she needed to check on Rin and slicks's room next and she smiled happily. They had seemed like a fairly nice guys when they had met early. She looked at the room number and nodded to herself before finding the room. Knocking on the door firmly she said, "Hellloooo! Rinion? Slick?" She waited a moment before knocking and saying, "Okay, I'm coming in, don't be doing anything you wouldn't want your mom to see."

Opening the door with her universal key she was shocked to see Rinion on the ground bleeding profusely. Quickly getting over her shock her dropped her basket of presents and walked firmly over to where her was laying, ignoring the circle on the ground for the moment. She dropped tot he ground next to him she pulled him against herself, basically cradling him in her arms in a way that would have been intimate if he wasn't bleeding so badly. Wrapping her wings around tim she pressed her forehead to his and closed her eyes. She braced herself for the pain she knew would come and began healing him.
Oh dear, I guess I have to go save Rin then. Is he in his room???

"My name is Melissa, I'm also an orphan who arrived a few days ago. Since then I've become fairly acquaintanced with the other orphans, though I've generally been staying close to my best friend, Keegan." Melissa took her hand and shook gently. "As for my powers, I can block others from using theirs, so long as it isn't a physical alteration of their body or something. I can also mimic their powers, though under the same circumstances." Melissa seemed to be a fairly serious girl who didn't laugh often, though smiled at her when she spoke about staying a night in the rain. "You know," she begins, "I've never met someone with as much bliss as you..."

Delilah looked at her surprised and then smiled happily, "That's a really cool power!" She looked at her curiously and shrugged, "I'm not sure about bliss, but I do try to stay positive as much as I can." She pulled her hand away to shrug off her rain jacket. Folding it over her arm and revealed her wings, stretching them out as much as she could in the foyer. Shaking them slightly to get most off the moisture off of them, she watched Melissa carefully to see how she would react, still smiling at her and hoping for the best, "Being positive is all you can do when your parents kick you out." She said this lightly, trying to keep the mood as light as she could.

"I would love to meet your friend Kegan, if he's friends with you I'm sure that he's a great guy."
It was okay, I got to talk to my theater teacher. I love her but she is a bag of cats. I get to do lights for a mid summer nights dream, which is going to be at the new school in my city and they have an amazing theater so I'm really excited about that!!
