Name: Silas Brasfur
Race/Gender: Human/Male
Age: 27
Appearance: Silas stands at a stout 6'3 with broad shoulders but a sort of wiry and small frame. He certainly does not look like a designated leader, but instead looks like someone who was given the mantle at too young of an age. Even though the mantle of leader of the Insurgence was given to him at a young age he holds the title with pride and does well with it.
When he is in the field he wears his protective trenchcoat style armor with plates of metal scrapped together and Insurgence markings all over the fabric. He prefers a sort of medium style armor. Armor right between the line of giving him moderate protection while also offering good mobility.
Silas has a rather low voice for a man his age and with his appearance it does take a little while for someone to get used to the voice he has. He has a scruffy face with a defined amount of facial hair covering his chin and jaw line. His right eye has been replaced by a mechanical contraption invented by his dear friend Rosen. The mechanical eye is powered by magic and it allows him to see.
Magical Prowess: Silas has no magical abilities as he does not desire them.
Time Spent with the Insurgence: Silas has been with the Insurgence for all of his life. It wasn't until he reached 22 when he was given the leadership role. He has been leading the Insurgence ever since.
History with the Regiment: Silas has seen their brutality first hand and he does not wish to see it again. His burning desire to wipe the Regiment off the face of the Ever Expanse is bright and hot. Silas was a young boy when the Orcan city was destroyed by the Regiment. He has seen countless cities and towns taken by the Regiment and he will happily give his life for the cause if it means saving another town from being taken.
Skills you brought to the Insurgence: Silas is a sharpshooter for his age and kind. His human versatility has allowed him to adapt and overcome many struggles in his life.
Now given the title of Leader of the Insurgence, he has major political pull with a number of the races in the Ever Expanse.
While being friendly and kind is not seen as a skill, it can be used as a means to earn what you desire.
Silas also brings his leadership skills and knowledge of the area and battle tactics to the table.
Equipment: Silas is always carrying a pouch or two on his hip for practical reasons. These pouches hold his coin and other assorted monetary items as well as some ammunition and things he has held onto for sentimental value.
He also has an ammo belt of sorts strapped around his chest in a diagonal fashion.
On his back he always has his trust rifle which has been modified by his friends in the Insurgence.
Around his neck, Silas a necklace his father wore when he was still alive. Silas took it from his father's corpse and has kept it ever since.
Silas' Story: Born into a world of peace and happiness, as a young boy Silas had no idea the world would take a turn for the worst in just a few years.
During this time, Silas was being raised in the great human capital of Canwall with his father and mother. When Silas reached 5 the Baron snapped and activated the Saviors that watched over the great city of Canwall. With their lasers and guns they did shred the innocent people of Canwall. His his parents and Silas managed to catch an airship out of the city and as they sailed away they watched the pillars of smoke rise up higher and higher.
The family of three made their way to Elf territory where Silas's father started to work something up with an old friend of his. During this time, his father was always busy and his mother always gone with her duties so Silas was left alone. A dwarf named Rosen had taken up residence in the elf city and he was a friend of Silas' father so Silas and the dwarf became friends as he watched over the him. Rosen practically raised Silas as his father was too busy with the Insurgence plans and putting them in motion. Things became so tense around the elf city.
When Silas reached 14 an attack was launched on the Orcan city and it stood no chance. Word spread quickly that the great Orcan capital had been destroyed by the Regiment and many of its people were enslaved.
With this information, Silas' father officially launched the Insurgence and they started to fight back. This sparked a kind of home hopping lifestyle that Silas became used to. He never stayed in one place for long and he was okay with this.
During this time, Silas was able to see the real world outside of Canwall. He saw the many races and their capitals and he loved them all.
Years passed and the fighting dragged on with no end in sight. Rosen continued to spit the prophecies of old of Gidhail but everyone shut him down. Silas believed his elder dwarf friend, but he could do nothing about it.
When Silas was 20 everything in his life changed.
As the Insurgence stayed quiet in a small dwarf village before their attack at dawn, their plans were cut short when the Regiment launched a surprise attack which caught everyone off guard. Their superior technology meant certain annihilation for many of the Insurgence members. Including Silas' mother and father.
Even though it was dark, people who survived the attack with tell you that the Baron himself was at that battle. But most do not believe that as the Baron is known to not leave his floating castle.
Silas took a rifle and did his best to fight back. He accrued a few kills for the Insurgence but he watched his father die right before him. A shot ripped right through his chest and his father staggered and fell. Everything went quiet as Silas threw the gun and rushed up to hold his now deceased father. Silas grabbed his father's rifle in a fit of blind and teary eyed rage and started to shoot whatever Regiment scum he laid his eyes on. In that moment a heat shot ripped right into his right eye and he fell over. Everything went black and Silas faded.
When he woke up his right eye was covered in bandages and the scenery had changed. He was in a small home with a large number of people looking over him on the bed. When he rose a few people who had been holding their breaths released them in a sigh of relief.
Silas reached up and felt his bandages but winced from the pain. Rosen stood by his bedside and instructed him of what happened.
A few months later, Silas turned 21 and talk started that he should take the reigns as leader.
Silas met with a few Elven leaders and they told him they would need someone to lead and he was the closest relative so it seemed only logical.
Silas did not offically take the leadership title but he oversaw reconstruction and fortifying of many bases and areas for the Insurgence. New members flooded in as they heard of the recent attacks from the Regiment.
When Silas turned 22 he officially took the Leadership role of the Insurgence and has been leading happily ever since. He aims to end this war and bring the Ever Expanse back to its former glory.
