The dark truth about all of my characters is that 90% of them are imports from other projects of mine ranging from pretty recent stuff (Makeda) to some stuff I wrote in 2006 (Piena).

On the other side, as I'm advancing trough the plots, more new stuff is actually surfacing. Chronicle is new, Susa is finally moving away from being just the Walmart version of the protagonist of a book I once almost wrote. And in general, the overall future of Mesathalassa will be full of concepts I'm making on the go (And the main reason why I'm taking so long with the recent posts ;-;)
Whyyy this. Why always this?

'Why did Vowzra do this I wonder?'
'Not sure, it's very...Vowzra.'
'Yeah, it's just too...enigmatic.'
'Makes no sense whatsoever.'
'Damn Vowzra, damn Riddler.'
'Maybe he was doing a self-sacrifice kind thing.'
'We'll never know. He's just too damn mysterious.'
'Yes, he's a paradox.'
'He, like, had two babies.'
'That's so strange. Enigmatic.'
'He created aggressive things in the Gap.'
'Why would he do such a strange thing?'
'Maybe he wanted to ensure Jvan didn't have complete control o-'
'Are you actually trying to decipher this madness?'
'Damn, sorry, got carried away. He's just too damn enigmatic.'
'Lets talk about something else, we clearly can't understand Vowzra.'
'No, it's impossible to. If only he said something while he was around.'
'Yeah, if only he'd come and spoken for hours so we could understand all of this.'
'Damn Vowzra, why did he have to be such an enigma.'
'So, the Codex!'

Being someone who is deep enough in the TES lore to know about the time traveling terminator robot from the future (although not as deep as to understand C0DA), that is basically every day there, people just avoid objective ends because it is more fun this way.
I'm not sure if I asked this before, but is there something going on at Zephyr's dojo? I figured Hel and Co will be passing pretty close to it on the way to the White Ocean so I thought about featuring it on my post.

The Celestial Citadel is actually a flying fortress, the representation in the map is to say "It exists" but it isn't locked to that region.
It is quite amazing, when I'm reading some book I feel like it would be better if I was writing stuff here since I got enough ideas, when I'm trying to write stuff here, I feel like it would be better if I read some more stuff because I need inspiration.
@Muttonhawk Whoa whoa calm down there man, I don't want the first European city I visit to be The Hague. I mean, what is next? Magpie squadrons?
@Kho Don't worry, I'm on it, a mercenary team of assault emus has already been dispatched.

Yikes. Note to self, do not write anything anywhere when it's 4AM. I ain't even gonna try to salvage that mess of a post.

@Double Capybara

Meh. I believe shamanism was first mentioned by myself in the djinni CS, and that it's been established through even characters like Susa. Note that previously it would have been very limited in scope and self-taught, whereas what Ventus gave to the Rukbans and Y'Qar is much more powerful. If someone is genuinely curious and I end up with a bit more time than I have at present, then I can elaborate on the differences.

I can't seem to find that CS, maybe you forgot to add it to your CHAR post?

Anyway, I perfectly understand that what Y'Qar and the Rakbans got probably the most powerful of all the mentioned shamanisms and religions. The mesathalassan tradition I spent some khookies on, for example, is mostly based herbalism, hunting rituals and dream interpretations, there is no superpower involved and it is, in fact, mostly based on "wrong assumptions", even after the creation of Ilunabar's second holy site, which had a facility entirely based on shamanic dreams, it is still pretty mundane.

But, my whole point in that mess of a post was to just avoid listing the CS for what you created as just Shamanism, just to avoid confusion with all the other non-Ventus inspired uses of the word shamanism.

@Double Capybara
I belive witch-doctor refers generally to the healers and spiritual guides in Africa, whereas shamans are more of an Altaic and Native American thing (it's actually amazing how similar these two distinct shaman types are with regards to their manner of dress!)

Yeah, the term has its own origin, but also a widespread use due to western generalization. It is more strongly associated with native american and central asian/siberian beliefs along with some more organized religions in east asia (Although whether Japan is within the Altaic root or not is up to lot of discussions). But in general, it is used very widely used, nowadays it is also a term used to describe much of Africa's beliefs as well as a lot of ancient belief systems in general, including Europe.

That neolithic religion based on a central wise man figure look seems to be the base which most of us players used so far in the RP, with a very widespread use.

I thought about calling the Hain shamans from the jungles of Mesathalassa "Pajés", but that was scrapped when I went against using Tupi culture as an inspiration. At the time using generic terms also seemed better, but now, I think I will just make it so as the belief systems centralize, some new, unique terms, are born to substitute the generic use of the word Shaman.

Speaking of which, this reminds me I need to finish a certain post that has been half-done for 5 months now.

Ok, maybe I will need to rewrite my whole post tomorrow.

But to give the overall idea of it:

I just suggest that it would be better to not write down it as just shamanism if they eventually make a CS for what Ventus created, described in the summary as just Shamanism, but couldn't possibly be the case since shamanism has such a wide meaning that it has been around for a long while in the RP and mentioned multiple times, hell, in my case I even had spent some Khookies in a shamanic tradition in particular.

Then, I note that the narrow/original meaning of it, based in central asia, is indeed just showing up in this new storyline in particular. Then I start to talk about loan words like shamanism in general and how it is a bit tricky to use certain religious words in the RP (and in real life, as for example, my native language has basically the same word having two different meanings and spellings because the french loaned it.)
