Day 35 of The Outbreak
Morning - 11:00 AM
Weather - Cloudy
----------------------------------------

It has been 35 days since the Epidemic started. That's what people have been referring to it as. 35 days since the Virus struck the world, tearing it apart faster than anyone had ever wondered, or thought it had the potential to. Most people don't like to refer to the undead as "Zombies." Most will say "Walkers" or "Biters." "Geeks." Anything to avoid that Z-Word. Most of the city's population is dead. Or undead. Military, Police, and anyone who was expected to protect the survivors, are now all gone. Focusing in on Pittssburgh, Pennsylvania, some survivors have managed to stay alive with rough survival skills, and genuine luck. Supplies, after a month's time, are running low. It is time to go and search for what we need. Focusing in even closer, a young survivor stands alone at the top of an apartment building.

Jason Crowley, 22, wakes up in his sleeping bag on the roof of an apartment building, with the only door into the building chained shut. Looking up at the cloudy, foggy sky, he wonders if they're clouds, or smoke from fires, or bombings of other cities. Getting up out of his sleeping bag, Jason looks over the edge of the building. Streets, filled with Walkers, and destroyed vehicles. Police Barricades knocked over, and quarantine zones torn through. The river, full of bloated corpses and walkers that tried to end their own lives before they had a chance to turn. Too bad it doesn't work that way. The city is a dangerous place, and sometimes, you have to go into that urban jungle to gather the basic supplies.

Jason opens up his backpack, looking at his inventory. He takes out a bag of graham crackers, with only about 5 left in the bag, broken, mainly crumbs. "Fuck." He mumbles to himself. He takes out a water bottle and holds it up to the light. You know when you look in a water bottle and there isn't really anything in there, but it has enough to cover the bottom little ring of the bottle? That's what this bottle has in it. He grabs his back pack and throws it on his back. He grabs his shotgun from beside his sleeping bag, and puts in in his little home-made satchel on the side of his pack, just in reach. He picks up the fire-axe from the apartment hallway, and goes to the fire escape on the edge of the roof. Slowly and carefully, Jason climbs down the fire escape.

"Well, here I go. Down into the city. Son of a bitch." He says, climbing down, into the alleyway, which is completely devoid of Walkers for some reason. He walks to the near end of the alleyway, and hides behind a dumpster, looking into the streets. "There has got to be a way to do this without dying..." He sighs under his breath.
Sorry I was gone all day guys! I had a lot to do after school in prep for my Senior Band Concert and stuff. Im going to go ahead and make the opening post for the roleplay! THE TIME IS HERE
@Delta44I like her! Character accepted. Im on my phone right now though, so I think@Mordon could copy the character sheet into the Characters tab.
As for the universe; it's SORT of the Walking Dead Universe. More like a universe parallel to it. Makes it easier to NOT break anything established in TWD's Universe.
Name: Kyle Moore
Age: 17
Sex: Yes please. Male.

Personality: Kyle's a well adjusted kid despite his rough upbringing as a child and unwealthy family. He's something of an optimist, always trying to see the brighter things in each situation and having hope for a brighter future. Almost to the point where some would call him naive. He's not the smartest, however; In school, he was never able to pay serious attention to lectures and longwinded lessons, learning by doing and seeing rather than sitting down and listening. He swears by his morals, not yet brought down by the apocalypse, which stops him from stealing or killing like many people would.

Physical Description: Kyle is 5"6, and is skinnier than the average for that height. He has a slightly muscular body due to exercising and being on the school track team. He has short, black hair that just reaches the top of his neck and brown eyes. His face is rather boyish and he hasn't grown any facial hair yet.

Equipment: He has a shovel, useful for digging through rubble and on rare occasions bashing undead skulls in. He has his running shoes, the clothes on his back and a blue pouch. The pouch holds a bottle of water, some canned food and a flashlight with one spare battery.

History: Kyle was born in Boston, Massachusetts to the lower class Moore family. He was an only child and his parents doted on him during his childhood and what little money they got was spent on food and trying to keep Kyle safe and happy. His dad tried to instill a strict set of morals on Kyle, to keep him on the straight and narrow. He taught Kyle how to defend himself if someone tried to hurt him. What he didn't know, was that his father was in fact involved with Bostons underworld.

Kyle didn't know until he turned the ripe age of 10 and his pops came back from work one day, bloody and bruised. He'd made the mistake of getting money from loan sharks and paid the price. Kyle started to do odd jobs around the neighbourhood so they could get enough money to pay their debts and eventually, move out to a nicer place and a nicer house so Kyle could get a proper education.

And they did. At age 14, they paid off debts and moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, got a quaint house and grew nice little flowers in the garden. Kyle got enrolled in a public school, joined the track and field team, and for the next 3 years, life was rather nice. His father got a new job and things were going pretty swell.

His father died of a heart attack at age 49 a year later. Stress related, they said. Kyle's grades got even worse and he and his mom barely scraped by. It was his optimism that kept him going, plus a strict diet of instant ramen and other money saving efforts. He put his grief into his sport and became a damn good runner.

Running would later save his life.

Life after the Outbreak: It all started one day at school. Things were going fairly normal, all things considered. He got there, waited around until classes started, went to homeroom...It was funny, really, how normal the day started. Then someone said a weirdo had bitten him on the arm. Being relatively poor, Kyle never really watched movies or TV at home, so he didn't immediately think of zombies.

Then absolute pandemonium broke loose when she started lumbering about and biting people. There were infected kids in the school, and with the amount of students, it was practically a breeding ground for zombies. It spread fast. Miraculously, with the help of two other students, they broke out. Kyle ran for his life back home in a panic, separating himself from the little trio that formed and came back to an empty house. He's locked himself into the house and hid in his room with the supplies they had. Somehow, he's survived, and no zombies have broken in.

But it's been approximately a month and his supplies are starting to run low. Soon, it'll be time to head into the chaos again.
@Derpestein I really like your character actually haha. I'll move him on over to the character tab.
His history is pretty damn long. You, whoever you may be don't have to read it all. Might even be more fun getting to know him without knowing his past in the RP.

Awesome. Character accepted!

I made the official OOC and Character Tabs
Name: Jason Crowley. Also goes by just "Jay"

Age: 20 Years old.

Sex: Male

Personality: Jason is sort of just your average, everyday guy. He doesn't specifically have any unique survival skills. Unless of course, you count having a large knowledge of horror and action films. Jason learned almost everything he knows about how to survive from movies, and uses it to his advantage, which is how he survived the first month in the first place. He is not the type to speak out and be a leader, but he definitely knows how to give a helping hand at any time. He will risk his life to help someone that is worth saving.

Physical Description: Jason stands at 6'1", with short, dark brown, wavy hair. He is in generally good shape, and can run pretty fast to get out of somewhere in a pinch if needed. Jason wears a white t shirt, and a brown coat over that, that is sort of baggy, but has pockets to store things if needed. He also wears a pair of black, fitted jeans, with a few holes, and some black sneakers. He wears a backpack on his back, that can carry his ammo, food, and weapons.

Weapons/Equipment: Jason carries a pump-action shotgun on him, but only about 16 shells, until of course, he can find more. He also carries a fire-axe from his apartment building. And of course he has a small amount of food and water in his backpack.

History: Jason has usually just been his own person for his whole life. He goes to work, comes home, and watches his movies, which he has a large obsession with. He knows a lot of things about movies, and uses it to his advantage to survive. He lives alone in his apartment, with his movie collection, and many memorabilia from said movies. Jason was never a huge fighter, but keeps himself in shape, to be able to do whatever it is that he has to do at work. Jason knows the near streets pretty well, and can find his way around the near city area when he has to.

Life after the outbreak: For the first few days, Jason kept himself locked up inside of his apartment, guarding his door with a fire-axe he took from the hallway. Hearing knocks on the door, and screaming outside, he isolated himself for a while. Jason, a big movie buff, didn't believe all of this at first, until he saw the news reporter and camera man devoured on live television. Instead of going to the quarantine zone as instructed, Jason locked himself up in his apartment. About two weeks later, he had to fight off a few undead that broke down his door. He killed them, gathered supplies, and went to the roof, where he locked the door. On his way up, he found a police officer zombie, who still had his shotgun on him. Jason took it, and all the shells the officer had, and went to the roof.
It has now been approximately 1 month, but more like 35 days, since the outbreak, and it is time for him to go get more supplies.
