Sure you can have a double form, I'd prefer if the switching was not conscious however, you can do what you like though.

As far as how magic goes. Shape-shifting only works for Others because they have detailed knowledge of what they are shifting into, if a normal human tried it would kill them because they messed up. But otherwise magic is still connected to the individual,

Personally I wait until everybody else has made theirs and I start judging characters before I post my own, that way everybody doesn't color their CS consciously or unconsciously to be like mine.

It's "coded" so that only individuals with certain traits may pass through it, otherwise it's (theoretically) impenetrable. The traits in question of course, being the ability to shapeshift, It can also be manipulated by shifters however they please, I won't cut details here, a malicious shifter could easily ruin everything inside the field, other shifter colonies may have different defenses.

@Spartan I personally wouldn't recommend him being the :"only" one on monitor duty, that's extremely dangerous, especially since he would be alone in the middle of a rainforest, perhaps a joint effort between the american and argentinian (if I haven't mentioned the energy field is in argentina) militaries to keep anything suspicious from happening?

Edit ;also it couldn't have been months, this rp starts precisely 36 days after the shifters emerged. And the field has been up for not even a week now
