My point is teachers are important characters and should be up to a higher standard than ordinary students, both in terms of content in their CS and their history. Also, the GM should know everything useful to know about a character or at least most of it, so they can plan the RP around those things. I know it is kind of a double standard that I am allowed to keep secrets and you are not, but that is the healthiest way for the RP to go in my opinion.

The Multiverse Nexus

This is a different style of RP I am launching, based off something I tried on the oldguild but fell apart due to a lack of effort on my part (I promise, that will not happen again)

How it goes is that there is a world that exists between every universe, and occasionally dimensional anomalies throw random people in there, with no way to escape they have created a culture, and new individuals drop in all the time.

Thus, you can play any conceivable kind of character, canon or not.

The RP has no plot or overarching goals or objectives, it's "slice of life" in a way because it's purely about the characters interactions and what they do, You can do literally anything.

And finally, the biggest deviation from the norm, there are no character sheets, all you have to do is post at minimum a sentence describing your character and you may start immediately, if things get out of hand I will take administrative action, but I would prefer not to

Region of Origin: I hail from Johto.
City of Origin: Cianwood.
Subject: Battle Theory and Strategy, which will be the homeroom for most of you new arrivals and some others.
History: I suppose I can disclose a little bit. Cianwood is fairly isolated, but has a strong battling community. The gym of course specialized in fighting types, and they always fascinated me from a young age. They seemed like the strongest of Pokemon, though that could have just been hero worship of our gym at the time. Though fighting types were my first love, I branched out and saw the true power of all the types. When I was younger I completed the Johto League challenge, through a combination of tactics and determination. It bothered me however, that every gym stuck to one type and one only, when I later heard the Elite Four were no different, I decided to abandon this "competitive" Pokemon battling scene. I trained on my own for a while, and learned all I could of the art of battling, in time, I was offered a job here, in Orre. I was not very interested at first, until I learned that the true goal, was to create a League where type specialization did not run rampant. Thus, I signed up and became a teacher here.
Personality: I respect Pokemon battlers who want to push the envelope of strategy, I hand out homework and am not an easy teacher. Everything else, you'll just have to find out.

It should be noted that this is an older photograph, as I have been unable to find a suitable photographer to take a modern-day picture. However, with the exception of age and height (6'2"), I look much the same.

City of Origin: Ecruteak

Subject: My primary field is Combat Tactics and Maneuvers, though I also offer extra lessons in Pokemon Caretaking after classes.

History: I was born and raised in Ecruteak, where I apprenticed in the gym for several years. Morty especially taught me the value of inner strength and unyielding resolve. Eventually, my desire to start my own journey with my Pokemon overwhelmed me, and I said goodbye with my faithful Nidorino in tow. We trained rigorously, both I and my Pokemon, and eventually set out to challenging the gyms. While after some years I was able to collect all eight Johto gym badges, I was never able to become the Champion (Lance is still an incredible opponent, and I was only able to reach him twice). After some failed attempts, I finally conceded that my team was simply not ready to face such a challenge. More training would be required, and more training would be had. So I began travelling even further: Kanto, Hoenn, and even some time in Sinnoh. My team and I grew stronger all the time. Eventually, our journey led us to the Orre region, where I eventually learned of this academy. After learning that they were looking for teachers, I happily applied.
Personality: I was never handed anything in my life; I earned it all myself, and I expect the same from my students. In battle, the slightest distraction, hesitation, or lapse of judgment will cost you the duel. Therefore, it is my job to ensure that students are disciplined, their Pokemon are trained properly, and that each and every one of them is ready for whatever challenges may await them in the world. Rest assured: I *will* ensure it. However, let it not be said that I am heartless; I care very deeply for all of my students, especially their Pokemon. That is why I offer free supplementary lessons on the proper care and grooming of one's Pokemon. After all, regardless of skill or tactical ability, it is ultimately the bond between Trainer and Pokemon that we all must learn to cherish.

Ah, Nidoking. Words truly cannot express the bond between the two of us. I've had him since he was just a Nidoran, and I was just a child. The two of us have grown so close over our many years of journeying, and I truly cannot imagine any team of mine being complete without him. He prefers to use his overwhelming power to demolish his opponents, and has a great respect for strength. Alternatively, however, he has no respect for those he considers weak or inexperienced, which sometimes makes it difficult for me to use him as an aid in my lessons.

Personality: Childish, troublemaker, likes to taunt his opponents... whether currently fighting them or not.
Gengar, as a Haunter, decided to haunt me as I made my way through the Ilex Forest, the little scoundrel. After three failed attempts at catching him, I simply resigned myself to the fact that Haunter would be following me throughout the entire forest. As I prepared to leave the forest, however, Haunter actually expressed an interest in staying with me. We've been together since, but even as Haunter evolved, Gengar still maintains the same mischievous attitude as always; I often catch him playing pranks on the younger students.

Personality: Nervous, shy, tends to avoid those she is not familiar with.
Gardevoir is incredibly shy and usually does not socialize with anyone without necessity. She often helps me with my Caretaking lessons, as she is able to sense emotions. ((OOC: It is believed that she has telepathic abilities, like most Psychic-types, but she has never shown them publicly.))
Notable Moves: Moonblast, Stored Power, Calm Mind, Confusion, Psychic, Reflect, Light Screen, Healing Wish (Kurtis refuses to use this move)

Personality: Brash, arrogant, very proud of his speed.
I caught Weavile when he was still a Sneasel. Since then, we've trained Weavile in speed and subterfuge tactics. Weavile is very proud, pushing arrogance, when it comes to his speed, and refuses to believe that anyone is faster than he is; if he ever loses a race, he starts training himself furiously until he can move faster.

City of Origin: Lumiose City. Well, I was actually born in Coumarine City, but no one needs to know that.
Subject: I teach Pokemon Grooming and Caretaking. It's not a blowoff class, don't treat it as such.
History: Am I writing a book here, why should students want to know about their teacher? Oh, I guess there's no harm in it. Alright, look, battling isn't where I made my mark in the world of Pokemon. Don't get me wrong, I can battle quite well, and you'll notice I have the full eight Kalos badges to further my claim. But never mind that. See, there's more to Pokemon than battles, and that's where I decided to focus my efforts. Though I was born in Coumarine, I made my mark in Lumiose, which is home to several Pokemon grooming facilities, and no, I don't mean those places where you go to give a Furfrou a haircut or something, I mean a place where smart trainers go to increase the level of trust between them. I apprenticed under a great mentor who taught me the rights and wrongs of caring for Pokemon. It's an art, you see, and the truly great trainers will not just assume battling and 'tactical planning' is how to become a great trainer.

After my apprenticeship, I was full time groomer which soon gave way to me participating in contests, no, not those battle things, but the things Coordinators do. It's like battling, but instead of fighting trainers directly, it's done indirectly and via creativity and quick thinking. It was here where I truly got to shine and show off my care for my Pokemon. It's easy for some trainer to say there's a bond between your Pokemon and you, it's another for there to BE a bond. I've seen many trainers not understand this, and that's what I'm here for. I'm here to show the future great trainers of the world how to really care for and bring out the best of your Pokemon outside of battle. In other words, I'm going to show you that berries have more use than mid-battle resources. Trust me. I'm an expert.
Personality: Ugh, the other teachers are so serious all the time, aren't they? Not me. I'm the type of teacher that will crack a joke - and you will laugh or you're getting double homework. See? Jokes! But don't assume this means I'm not serious about the class, about the craft, I am, and though I'm much more easy going and easier to talk with, I still expect my students to learn, to grow, and to complete assignments on time. Appearance: Looking for one, can't draw female's as good. A tall, 6' 3", tanned women that has straight black hair and blue eyes.

City of Origin: Dendemille Town

Subject: Pokémon Evolution and Biology

History: Okay, well I was born in Dendemille Town of Kalos and have personally had a great life. I was always interested in Pokémon like most of the world. I was always particularly intrigued by the evolution on such creatures, hence why I teach it now. It was the one mystery about the creatures that I had a REAL interest in. It's my personal reason for even being a trainer.
Like most trainers I tried to become the most powerful trainer ever and defeat all of the Gym Leaders of Kalos, on the side. The real meaning of my adventure was to learn about evolution, as I probably stated before. So, whilst collecting the eight Gym Badges I assisted Professor Sycamore and his research of Mega Evolution. It was a life changing experience, I would go to his lab on weekends and assist him. He was the person who shaped me who I am today, he's the man who taught myself, and most of his other assistants, all of the things I know. I studied under his tutelage for four years and received my 'doctorate' in Pokémon Evolution and Biology, the class I teach today. Without Professor Sycamore I most likely wouldn't have been able to teach at the Orre Academy.

Personality: I'm probably considered the most laid back teacher at the academy. It's actually kind of strange because of how strict my parents are, I guess Sycamore just rubbed off on me. The only thing that makes me mad, so to speak, is if anyone interrupts me while I'm talking/teaching. If you want to talk you can teach the class. Besides that I can't really describe my self. One thing to look forward to is a lack of homework in my course, I feel it's unnecessary and assignments or small exams will be enough to test your knowledge. Oh, and I honestly don't mind what students refer me as. Whether it's Ms. Bealieu or just Lanee I'm not strict in that manner.

Personality: Bruit is my oldest Pokémon and I guess you could say, 'starter'? For being one of the brute giants known as a Dragon he's fairly calm and actually very kind and caring, but that developed over time. He's my best friend and I probably wouldn't trade him for the world.

Appearance:
Personality: Kero is fairly kind and soft. She is a powerful Pokémon but is often mistaken for being weak. She hates being in the spot-light as she's fairly nervous when attention is stuck on her. She likes to confound her opponents using Hypnosis and when they wake up confusing them with Swagger.

Personality: Feutre is probably the most stuck-up of all my Pokémon. He often grooms himself and tends to mock other peoples Pokémon which often gets myself and it in trouble. Feutre could be describe as regal but rude.
