Jayson Bradford pedaled furiously on the dirt road.
I need to run.

"You can never investigate anomalous activity on an empty stomach."Jay muttered to himself. Besides, he needed some pancakes to contemplate what he saw. The anomalys were real. He was leaning against a birch tree writing in his journal when some chubby, stout unicorn, wearing a leprechaun hat, trotted up to him. He hadn't even had time to record it in his journal.

Jay slowed his bike to a stop when he got to Greasy's Diner. Rubberhose was hiding behind a mailbox, Mute was... well, not talking, but writing with some tourist, and some human giraffe was also there that looked oddly familiar. Jay got off his bike, walked into Greasy's, and ordered a pancake. "Yes, only a single pancake. Shout when it's ready." Jay went back outside and started to write about the Leprechaun-Unicorn... Uni-Lep? That's what he would call it. For a moment, he saw a flash of green on Tourist Kid. Doesn't matter. What matters is keeping up this popular disguise, getting a job, and discovering the mystery behind this town.

Why don’t you lay your past on me? What are you even doing here? "My dad is a lumber tycoon. I'm super-popular, and athletic. I'm the poster boy for poster boys. We moved here two months ago. Oh, and also my secret. My dad was unemployed, living in a trailer. I was nerdy and unathletic. Then I found a kooky knickknack in the woods. I cracked the code after two months, and found a list of coordinates. I went to them and found a glowing blue pentagram with an eye in the middle. When I touched it, I woke up on my bed. But not in a tiny trailer- a manor. My dad went from unemployed hobo to successful lumber tycoon. I became ultra-popular and star of the track team. I'm not giving this up anytime soon! Once I have a job, my life will be perfect."
