Louisa watched the exchange between the police and Amira. She watched in deep interest as the male cop pulled out a strange looking scanner, it buzzed. She could only guess that it was some sort of 'runaway robot radar' or something. She would never admit to how cool the little scanner was, because anything in the hands of the police was not cool. She swallowed thickly, her limbs tensing from nervousness as the events intensified. From atop the orange crate she watched as the man pulled out a gun, aiming it towards the two androids. Now, Louisa wasn't sure if androids could feel pain by being shot, but it still made Louisa nervous.

Louisa thought he would just shoot the two right then and there, no questions asked.

So she was surprised when things did not go how she assumed.

The cop actually ended up going against his own, he attacked his own partner. Many of the homeless people gasped as he struck her on the head, others tried to look busy as if a police stand off was no happening right in their "home". Louisa herself looked shocked, but at the same time she didn't want to be easily fooled. She was sure that any moment he would turn the gun on them, or the androids or even his partner. Louisa had seen it happen before, so it happening again didn't seem too far off.

One of the homeless men seemed to sense her distress, and broke out of the crowd of people. It was the man with a single leg. He hobbled over towards Louisa, leaning on a makeshift wooden cane, and placed a gentle hand on Louisa's shoulder. Louisa hopped off the orange crate, walking with the man back over to the crowd of homeless people watching the scene unfold. She kept to the front of the group, wanting to watch what happened next.

Louisa watched with fascination as Amira tired to revive her robotic friend. Louisa was confused, weren't androids supposed to be emotionless? It made no sense to her why one was trying to help another, no less refer to it as a friend. She only grew more confused as the seemingly dead robot began to speak in several different tones of voice, a recording of sorts. Louisa tried to follow along with what the recording was saying, but it spoke too quickly with words she couldn't comprehend.

One of the homeless people, one who didn't seem too interested in listening to what the robots were saying, noticed the two police officers approaching. 'Shit." he growled out, attracting the attention of the rest of the group of squatters. The uniform of the two approaching people was enough to send a slight panic about the crowd.

Several of the people broke away from the two robots, hurrying to make themselves appear busy and not at all suspicious to the cops. As certainly none of these people had any stolen goods or pirated goods in their bedrolls, no way.

Turning quickly to Amira and the newly revived robots Louisa spoke in a hushed tone. "You two should leave as soon as possible, or hide. These guys are tough cookies." She quickly returned to her orange crate, standing on top of it as if to seem taller and more intimidating. Louisa herself began to boldly stare down the two cops, perhaps trying to buy Amira and the other android more time.

"What do you two want?" She asked in an annoyed tone, brave coming from a hungry homeless kid.
Sorry I haven't been posting lately, I was a little stumped on what to do IC. I'll work on a quick post today
Working on a character :D
Eleanor "Ellie" Ruby

A loud, extended, yawn broke through the silence of the room. Ellie lazily sat up, stretching her arms above her head as she woke up. The first thing Ellie noticed was how comfortable she was. She was laying in a plushy bed, tucked under many layers of warm blankets. She looked down at the thick quilts, a smile spreading lazily across her face. She joyfully traced the patterns on the blankets, designs that looked as if they had been mismatched together to form a pattern. Ellie looked calmly around the room, and for some reason she did not feel at all panicked. Ellie knew this wasn't her room or her home, and yet she felt as if she was safe.

Ellie untangled herself from the cocoon of blankets, already feeling the warmth shed off of her. Once Ellie was away from the bed she looked herself over, a bit confused by her attire. She was wearing a loose fitting tee-shirt and board shorts, an outfit that seemed fitting for someone who lived a laid back lifestyle in a tropical environment. She wasn't even wearing any shoes or socks. Ellie let out an involuntary shiver, wrapping her arms around herself. If worse came to worse she could just wrap the blanket around herself like a cape.

The first thing in the room to catch Ellie's attention was the vase full of flowers. They were not just any flowers, but Ellie's favorite kind of flowers. Or so she was guessing. Sunflowers. She smiled, picking the vase off the floor, and took a deep sniff of the flowers. It made her feel oddly nostalgic and calm. Next to the bed she had awoken in was a map of constellations, much to Ellie's delight as she was easily able to understand what was on the chart itself. As Ellie climbed back onto the bed, in order to get a closer look at the chart, she felt something tucked under the blankets.

After rummaging around for a moment she hooked her fingers around something smooth and cold. After retracting her hand and opening up her fingers to see what was resting in her palm, Ellie couldn't help but gasp when she saw what she was holding. In fact she was so shocked she accidentally dropped the newly found ring onto the floor where it fell with a deafening clang. Ellie quickly dropped to her knees, frantically picking up the ring and slipping it onto her ring finger. Even once it was back where it belonged Ellie's heart still felt like it was going a hundred beats a minute.

After taking a few moments to calm down Ellie stood back up, examining the rest of her room. The next object Ellie discovered were a pair of thread scissors, cheekily shaped like a bird. They were semi hidden under the edge of her bed. She happily slipped them into her pocket, feeling as if they were meant to stay with her. The teddy bear sitting in the corner filled Ellie with a similar joy, so she moved them closer to the sunflowers. The final object Ellie discovered filled her with sudden and unending emotions. After lifting up her pillow she found a picture of two women, one of which she could easily identify as herself. But the more she tired to identify the other women the more she felt a horrible, deep, sadness. She eventually tucked the picture back under the pillow as a few tears slipped down her face.

As Ellie dried her face she heard the sound of gears turning. She looked up from her cupped hands to see a door where there wasn't one before. Curiosity getting the better of her, Ellie quickly jumped up, wanting to explore. She looked around at the others, who looked equally confused, but Ellie felt no fear. This was just another adventure.

Louisa smiled at the girl robot, who gave her a name. "Amira...that's not a name I would have given you but it's pretty cool." Louisa hopped off the orange crate, walking towards Amira with an outstretched horribly grubby, hand. "My name's Louisa, but most of the people around here call me Lou." Louisa studied the strange android closely. She thought that all robots were supposed to be emotionless and have monotone voices. This one seemed differently. When the homeless people were threatening her she looked scared.

She listened to what the android said, her eyes filling with excitement. "So someone hacked into the government's message systems..." Her voiced trailed off as she paced around the homeless area, being mindful of the scraps and rocks on the ground. Louisa quickly turned back to the android, grinning widely. "That's totally cool!"

The other homeless seemed to be silent as Louisa confidently to the android. Many of them had mixed expressions, varying from distrust to flat out ravenous stares. Leave it to a child to be able to speak with a strange robot.

Louisa was about to answer Amira's request to help the homeless, when suddenly more powerful voices spoke over her. More homeless people, ones that lived with the group, and they were dragging something behind them. Another android. "From the ad?" Louisa asked in a mix of excitement and disbelief. She quickly left Amira in her corner to see the damaged robot.

"Move outta the way!" Louisa said, trying to wedge herself between the homeless men to get a look at the strange android. The young girl crouched down, looking over the robot. "It's all beaten up." Louisa stated, poking the robots 'head' as she spoke.

"Is it...dead?"
