And here we are, my two character sheets. If you're wondering why I ended up doing two, I had originally decided to go with an engineer kind of character, as Avalant had recommended, but I soon figured that I'd have little to nothing to do whenever combat rolled around. So I decided to create an infantryman too. The reason for the infantryman was that if I'm going to be playing a soldier who was utterly outmatched and outgunned, might as well go all the way, but if you feel that Daniel is too fragile to be any kind of recurring character, i can change him to become a tanker instead, though I'd have to do some research seeing as I know less about tanks than I do about regular infantry.
Name: Daniel Shatter
Age: 19
Appearance: Standing at a rather average height of 5’9”, and looking to be of decent fitness, Daniel doesn’t quite cut an imposing figure, and he lacks any real distinguishing feature. His brown hair has been cut to military standards, and his eyes are an entirely average shade of green. His pointed chin bears no sign of facial hair, mostly because Daniel has an awful time growing any kind of decent beard, as it tends to come out extremely patchy, and as such, he’s taken the time to make sure that he stays clean shaven. Daniel is stronger than he looks though, and he has to be, seeing as how he’s been issued a light machine gun.
Nation: United States of Liberion
Rank: Corporal
Weapons: Browning Automatic Rifle M1922, Colt M1911 sidearm
Role: Infantry Light Machine Gunner
Personality: Daniel was once impulsive, stubborn, and often got in trouble at school. Army basic training solved most of these issues, but some of these old habits still shine through from time to time. He is the kind of man to think with his heart, and more often than not, is the kind of man following orders rather than giving them. Daniel is by no means stupid, but he isn’t exactly a genius either, but what he lacks in smarts, he makes up for with bull headed courage.
Bio/History: Daniel had never been one to stop to think things through. He had always acted on impulse, one of the reasons he always seemed to get in trouble back home. The first time that he had ever found himself indecisive about something came when he finally finished high school. He had always planned on take after the family business, managing a small construction supply store, but when his close friend, Byron, decided to join the army, Daniel was conflicted between staying home or joining with him. His selection from the draft made that choice for him.
After his training, Daniel spent several months in one of the safer areas of Africa, some distance away from the front lines. His regiment still faced the occasional attack from the Neuroi, but Daniel himself was lucky enough to never see actual combat during this time. This seems soon about to change as the 350th Infantry Regiment now sees itself drawn closer towards the front lines.
Name: Byron Harrison
Age: 19
Appearance: Byron stands at a flat six-feet tall, and carries a handsome face, though he is a little on the scrawny side. His blonde hair is grown out as far as military regulations allow, and then some. He has amber colored eyes, and he has just the slightest bit of stubble on his chin. Byron has a scar, going from right under the right side of his mouth, running diagonally up to his cheek. He likes to say that he earned it in a fight back home, but the truth is simply that he gave himself a rather nasty cut when he tried shaving for the first time.
Nation: United States of Liberion
Rank: Corporal
Weapon: Colt M1911 sidearm
Role: Striker Mechanic
Personality: Byron is a quiet man, often lost in his own thoughts. He has a sharp mind, and learns things easily, which is what earned him his position as a Striker Mechanic. While he is a man of few words, that does not mean that Byron is an entirely serious man, and while he is not as boisterous as most would be, Byron still finds enjoyment in the small things that a group of friends can bring.
Bio/History: A close school friend of Daniel’s, Byron often found himself trying to reason Daniel out of any number of bad decisions. It would come as a shock to Daniel when Byron seemed to take a page from his book, and enlist with the U.S. Army in the spur of the moment. His smarts found him availability for a wide range of jobs, from which he was selected to be a Striker Mechanic.
As many witches found themselves stationed near the front in order to respond to Neuroi threats more quickly, so too, did Byron find himself stationed with them, near the danger of the front lines. He found himself attached to a Joint Fighter Wing, where he worked with other mechanics from around the world and learned to repair and maintain numerous different kinds of Striker units. He was transferred to Africa just a little bit before the new 509th witches were, in order to prepare for their arrival.
