Current Anybody else played Vampyr? Almost done with it and it's a pretty sweet game if you don't mind combat that was seemingly designed by a wet noodle.

I like the idea I'd definitely play this as long as it was set as a high casual to advanced environment.
Hey guys I have to talk about something for a moment.

The power in my house has been shut off, and actually has been since the day after I last posted. I've been living at a campground ever since and we just got our internet turned on here. It pains me to say it but I can't participate in this anymore. I just wanted to let you guys know so it didn't seem like I just dropped it.

Hi I've recently begun writing again and I started a story set in a post apocalyptic future. I was hoping to get some unbiased, critical feedback on my opening.

Deep within the soul of human society lies an inconvenient truth. We, throughout history, have debated its meaning and every few hundred years some form of awakening has made the masses of society alter their view regarding it. But it never changes. The truth, the guiding light for our species, is that we are inherently evil. I know this to be true, because I have witnessed the effect that this truth has had on our society. I believe that we are being punished, our people. I have heard the stories, tales of the time before. It seems so glorious, I'd give anything to see it for myself. But the elders have told us that it can never be again and their word is law.

Please tell me the truth, leave nothing out. Note that I intend to make this a short story about the nature of human beings. I want to know if this catches your interest and how I could make it better otherwise. Thanks!
Okay I made a post. I had to make some assumptions about the girl's body but if it wasn't included in the case file then I assumed I wouldn't see it. I'm sure you'll be fine with what I wrote and if not I can always re-write it.
"No sir." Thomas responded in a mildy respectful tone once he was told to visit the morgue. He stood from his chair and nodded to Mr. Green. "I'll head there now." Whether Green bid him farewell or not Thomas didn't know, he was 'in the zone' so to speak, his attention focused one hundred percent on the task at hand. He let himself out of the room and strode across the headquarters to the elevator located just outside the main office room. Tapping the button the elevator opened up instantly and allowed Thomas inside. Nobody else was coming toward the elevator so Thomas tapped the button signifying that he wished to go to the Morgue level; to which the elevator responded by silently closing it's doors. Thomas could feel a shift in his weight as the elevator began to move. He felt lighter, almost as if he'd start floating soon. Thirty seconds after entering the elevator Thomas found himself exiting on the morgue level. Assuming the body would be ready for him to look at he entered the exhumation chamber. The mortician wasn't inside, however the body displayed on the table was undoubtedly the same as the one in the pictures.

Thomas slid a pair of rubber gloves as well as a nose-plug from the counter-top and arranged them on his person before approaching the cadaver. He clutched her face and moved it around, examining it for cuts or signs of strangulation. None were apparent. He could see where the girl's uterus had been removed, from just above the pelvis. They were right in saying that it had been butchery. Her spine had been broken in several places as well as her neck. The murderer had contorted her body into a strange, even inhuman position but she had been straightened by now. Thomas felt awkward about this next part, mostly because women weren't exactly his forte, however he made himself spread the girl's legs and examine her vaginal section. It had appeared to be in tact though upon deeper investigation Thomas noted that her hymen had been broken; much as he had suspected.

"That makes sense." he thought outloud. He checked her body over for bruises and located a few, likely from being handled carelessly upon loading her into the plane judging from where they were located. It was sad, however Thomas had begun to feel much more confident in his profile at this point. He'd need to see Mr. Green again immediately, however. So he re-covered the body and disposed of his gloves and nose-plug before heading back up through the same elevator. Parading proudly through the office Thomas grabbed his coat and other essentials from his desk before approaching Green's office again. This time he pushed the door open without Kaily's approval. "Mr. Green, I have an idea. That profile is solid I assure you, however I now agree that traveling to New York will be necessary. I need to speak to this girl's parents as soon as possible." Thomas said confidently.
Ah alright.
Hey I haven't read or posted yet, I will shortly. I just wanted to inform you that at about 5:00pm EST tomorrow I will be leaving for a few days to watch a friends house while he is out of state.

EDIT: Who's body am I viewing in the morgue? The victim died in New York but we're in Virginia.
Okay I've started the invasion, I decided to keep the post short due to the fast paced nature of the content.

Tomorrow at about 5:00pm EST I will be leaving and I likely won't be back until monday or tuesday. I have to watch a friends house while he is out of state. I will try to keep in contact with you via mobile but I don't know if it will work.
Ryleigh was fairly silent as the kids got ready and Aren took them out the door. She waved goodbye to her sister and then sat at the table as Derck had asked of her. She saw the chocolates, she loved them but she could wait to tear into them. Derck made sure to put plenty of food on each plate, Ryleigh was sure she could eat every bite of it too. After Derck set the food down and took his own seat Ryleigh began to take bites of the roast, she was pretty proud of herself. The couple made small talk all throughout dinner and once they were done Ryleigh stood and picked up both plates. She placed them in the sink and then quietly walked - no more like tip-toed - back over to the table where Derck was sitting. Before he could say a word to her she swung her leg over his thighs and sat down on his lap facing him. She planted a long kiss on his lips and ran her hands through his hair. Fifteen years they'd been together and she had loved every day even more than the last.

"I bought something special for tonight. Wanna come see?" Ryleigh asked. Just as she stood up the lights in the kitchen flickered and then shut off all at once. She looked around, shocked for a minute before approaching the switch and flipping it up and down. "Tha-..." She started to speak but was cut off by a deafeningly loud monstrous grumble, it sounded like a highly over-powered bass system. It lasted a few seconds before being followed by a loud thrash and a shaking in the ground that sent Ryleigh to the floor. Mere moments later she heard a low-pitched screeching noise and looking out the window across the apartment showed a vast red beam entering the Committee tower. Were they under attack? She looked up to Derck, speechless and terrified. Her primary thoughts consisted of:
