Current Anybody else played Vampyr? Almost done with it and it's a pretty sweet game if you don't mind combat that was seemingly designed by a wet noodle.

I also like the look of both though I'm wondering, how much customization would the force allow units to do with their armor? If I wanted to wear a trench coat over it, or paint it a different color would anything like that be allowed?

Definitely interested, I'll be subbing this and waiting to hear more.

Other major characters:

Captain Brovik, a Dwarf from an unknown plane. Very little is known about his past, but he is a hearty fighter with a passion for exploration and discovery. He is always the life of the party and is known to be loud, jolly, and happy.

Sir Gorchek, a strange looking creature which resembles a centipede but much bigger. Standing up straight he is almost 9 feet tall and has sharp pincers on his mouth. Despite this he is capable of speech and is known to actually be a very enthralling conversationalist (that is if you can get past his appearance). He acts as the ships master at arms and will provide equipment to those who seek it.

Jibb, a female gnome who acts as the lead mechanic aboard the Stone-Turner. She is known to be incredibly intelligent however quite quirky and hard to handle at times. She maintains the ship and the smaller crafts aboard.

Welcome to A World Away.

This roleplay is set aboard the Stone-Turner, an Airship capable of traversing the planes of existence with the help of a special mineral known as Drinnium, as well as the faithful crew that have never failed to keep her afloat even through the harshest storm. If you find yourself wishing you could see the world and beyond, meet new people, and embark on an adventure that could change your life forever, then the Stone-Turner is the place for you. In this game you will be allowed to play any kind of character you desire, with GM approval of course, but restrictions are very lax. You will also be able to meet an assortment of characters that could never be gathered under other circumstances; after all you are able to go anywhere and do anything in this game, just like everyone else.

There will be 'hubs' so to speak. Locations you will be familiar with, which will be safe and where you can bring back goods, trade stories with other travelers, and generally be able to relax. Despite knowing some of the locations well, the primary focus of this game is to explore lands yet unseen and bring back stories that no other game would be capable of. My hope is that everybody is able to bring something to the table, to help us all imagine something we never could have without them. I really this to be something interesting and unique for all those who are a part of it.

If I am to keep this fun and friendly I will need to lay down a few ground rules:

1. Violence and other adult themes are permitted, however my preference would be to keep them in the range of pg13. We're going to be out exploring and anything could happen, however I'm not looking to run a dark, brooding campaign of blood so lets keep it fun and upbeat if we can. (Shooting someone in the head is fine. Ripping out their organs and playing with them is not, pretty simple.)

2. No bigotry, zero tolerance for this one.

3. Don't force other players into situations they don't want to be in. Some of us might play characters that are more powerful than others, based on how each individual wants to roleplay. If you are playing a Vampire and someone else is playing a monk don't infect the monk in his sleep without the other players permission, things like that.

Hopefully these are good enough but if somebody decides to be a trouble maker more may be added later.
----

As I mentioned earlier you will be able to play almost any kind of character you can imagine. If you want to use pictures I don't care what kind of art style you use but I would prefer if they weren't anime characters. I am also restricting you to Original Characters Only.

NOTES: You're able to play pretty much anything you want, but if you really aren't sure feel free to shoot me a PM.
Very cool, three people interested so far. I'll go ahead and get working on an OOC thread and @shwiggityshwah I wouldn't mind you joining up later. I'll still be recruiting a few people but for now since I at least know there will be more than one of you I will get to work.

Welcome to my interest check. This game is set aboard an airship which travels between dimensions and would be primarily focused on exploration over combat or war. The overall goal, destination, or other decisions would up to you to make during the course of the roleplay. The primary focus, however, is to see whats out there and find fascinating realms with interesting people and stories.

Due to the nature of the roleplay you would be able to make pretty much any character that you wanted, being in a multiverse that has yet to be written. I imagine the highest form of technology to be steam punk with possible light science fiction influences, but with primarily fantasy overtones. If you want to play a steampunk dwarf inventor, a dragon, a human with wings and horns, or a wizard from Space that would all be fine with me. The point of this is to explore and have fun and come out of it with crazy, one of a kind stories.

If you're interested drop a post here, if I get 3 people I'll make an OOC thread and I'll recruit up to 5.
Cool! Thanks for the interest guys. If I get at least one more person I'll get a CS format and type up a synopsis.
Hey guys. I'm wondering if anybody would be interested in playing members of the same family that were experiencing a haunting. The players would all play members of the household while I played the force that would be haunting them. The overall idea would be to create tense situations and tell a story about people overcoming their fears.

I'd prefer for this to be high casual, I'd be willing to move it to Advanced if that would be preferred however I would rather keep it here. If I get at least three people interested I'll write down some plot details and get a CS format ready. I would also just like to say that I want this to be dark and focus on adult themes. Sex would be iffy because it's obviously going to be a public thread, but violence and uncomfortable situations that could be caused as a result of a haunting would definitely be present.

If you're interested please leave a post and if you have any questions or suggestions feel free to send them my way!
