Velorio's Downfall-Looking for Players!

The Downfall of Velorio

When does a war occur? To know this, we have to look at war itself. War is defined as 'a state of armed conflict between different groups within a nation or state.' Interesting. In this case, our two groups are the Rebels and the Parliament. They are conflicted about which ways to rule. Our nation? Velorio. The beaming flying city. Every citizen is a brilliant person, many inventors or businessmen and businesswomen. Many a people have joined one side or the other, and while no battles have occurred, everyone is able to know that they will occur soon. So, what side will you join? When will you start the fight? What do you stand for? And more importantly, are you ready?

Parliament

The original government of Velorio. Considered to be 'corrupt' by the rebels. They still control the upper and middle districts of Velorio, though they have lost the poor districts to the Rebel's protests. They all are dressed in the finest cloths, and often brag about their wealth and money, though a handful is more sensible. Their members have a branded tattoo on their arm, in the shape of an owl. They have a small army, called the Enforcers.

Rebels

These are a ragtag group of militia that often forget their own leader. They stand against the Parliament, and claim that the people should rule. They, of course, have evidence, considering most have been wrongfully convicted, but they brought it upon themselves. They demand that taxes be withdrew. The poor favor them, because of their courage to stand up against the rich. Their numbers are bigger then the Parliament, but then again, the Parliament have an ally. The Rebels have no distinguishing marks, so there is no way to know if they have joined.

Velorio

Founded by some of the most brilliant men and women in all of the four realms, Velorio is often acclaimed by all sides for its brilliance. Even the poor are intelligent. Of course, not everyone is equal. In this world, intelligence is valued more than brawn or strength, though there are some who are both. Some children play together by doing puzzles.

Rules

1. No godmodding. This is common sense, guys. While I won't seriously harm or kill your characters without consent, you can't be freaking invincible to any attack.

2. Ok, please, if some romance gets above PG-13, take it to the PMs, or fade to black.

3. It's allowed to curse like a sailor. I have no problem whatsoever.

4. No characters below, let's say...10. I don't want any four-year-olds to be taking part in a war.

5. Don't make your character find whatever they need to win the fight. Example: Gary found a pile of muskets and fired at the dragon. It dropped a magical sword that couldn't break. If you really need me to, I'll determine what they find.

6. No arguing in the OOC. And if you get mad at someone, don't take it out on their character.

Jesper gently set Eddie to the ground, and started to walk him into the gas station. When they got to the bathroom, Jesper left Eddie to do his business while he searched for anything of use. Jesper knew exactly why his bounty was higher. He had been stealing all his life. It was no suprise.

Wulf watched the scene play out with Drake getting the crap beaten out of him, and started to run over, already raising his staff. As he started to get close to Kaz he raised his staff and when he was upon him he swung down, hoping that he would make it. This jerk was bothering him, and he did not have a good temper. Wulf was ready to cause this man pain, no matter what happened. And no one could stop him from beating this piece of crap into the ground.

So, anyone craving a Free Fantasy Roleplay?

Slave ship wrecked

Oliver was in his memories. At least, that's what they seemed to be. He was getting captured, by the people. They relentlessly stalked the slaves even now. When he was captured, Oliver hadn't chose to fight because they might find him. He shuddered as he watched the scene, but it quickly turned to determination. He was going to kill the woman who captured him, and no one would get in his way.

I completely understand your worries, and they are totally justified. Don't worry, after I said I was interested I realized that this wasn't for me, so I was probably going to explain that to you sooner or later. Anyways, thanks for the open mind you had regardless.

So, anyone craving a Free Fantasy Roleplay?

I've kind of been wanting to make something like this for a long time, and I wanted to see if this appealed to anyone. So here it is.

The flying city of Velorio. A thriving technological wonderland. Each citizen a prized inventor or a happy businessman. Kids play in the park, and neighbors chat at the monthly meetings, called the Thing. Or, is this city as it seems? A society of Rebels has been advertised as dangerous, but are they really? What do they stand for, and is it right? And the Parliament? Does their motives spell certain room like the Rebels say? No matter what side you choose, a war is brewing.

Basically this is set in a steampunk/fantasy world. The technological advancements made are supposed to be wild, because I want people to have fun with this. I will make more background on each element in ten OOC, if I can get people intrigued. I will also make a Character Sheet. If anyone is interested, please tell me.
