Bio

I'm not really the type to spend hours working on my bio. However, my name is Dru and I enjoy the occasional roleplay. I like to consider myself one of the biggest nerds for Harry Potter, Kingdom Hearts, and several animes. I'm a bit of a romantic, but romance can never replace a good plot and I would rather have none if it ensures that the story will remain fresh and exciting.

I usually try to be very friendly. I will reciprocate the respect that you bring to the table. I prefer most of my roleplay partners to be at least 17+. Though I will make exceptions based on maturity usually. That's pretty much it. If you have any questions past that I'm afraid you'll have to message me.

I got my first post in as promised. I apologize for any errors it contained, as I started getting sleepy towards the end. :)
In his dreams he was inexplicably happy, things were as they should be. He would find himself laughing contently with his father. His patriarch took the time to provide constructive criticism on his battling technique, and he would always become the Pokémon League Champion. He would become famous, just as his father had once been. They were just that however, dreams. Ren had to accept the fact that his father was gone and would never return. That’s just the way things were.

Sometimes when he found himself alone, he would allow tears to spill over. He would cry out for the father that he barely remembered. That was only when he was alone. In front of the rest of the world he was a rock. He was impassive, brutally honest, and sarcastic. Ren guessed this was the reason that he had never gained a human travelling companion. Not that he had ever wanted one, it was easier this way. No attachments, meaning nothing to hold him back. Feelings were just a sign of weakness anyways.

The wind tousled the platinum blonde hair that hung messily about his face. The face that somehow always seemed to be stuck in a half frown. He found himself leaning against the railing of the S.S. Aqua, gazing out at the seemingly never ending waters with earth colored eyes. The ship cut through the sea as butter would be cut by a knife. They were set to arrive in Vermillion within the hour, which was fine by Ren. The choppy waves made his stomach churn uncomfortably. He much preferred the feel of solid ground to this. This was the trainer’s first time on a boat, and it would also be his last. I’ll definitely be using the Magnet Train on the way home. Ren found himself thinking as his stomach gave another lurch.

At his feet the young man’s companion lay curled up sleeping, apparently unabashed by the water or the boat. His Pokémon were just as good as any human in his opinion. “Lucky.” He found himself murmuring as he prodded the Umbreon with his foot. “Genesis, we’re almost there.” The nickname given to his partner had been chosen by his father, and Ren would have altered it given the choice. The Pokémon was just as stubborn as his owner it seemed, and so his name remained unchanged. The Umbreon stirred faintly, opening one of his eyes with a large yawn.

In the distance, the sight of land caught Ren’s eye. Relief bloomed in his chest as he put two fingers in his mouth, before emitting a shrill whistle. In response a shadow dropped from high in the sky. His second Pokémon gracefully descended from the clouds. With a slight coo in his direction, his second friend, Pidgeotto wrapped its large talons around the same railing that Ren had been leaning against previously. The bird lovingly nuzzled against the side of the trainer’s face for a moment. “Quit it Pig!” Ren growled menacingly, using one hand to push the bird away. Pig responded by nipping at his trainer’s fingers lightly.

While Genesis resembled Ren’s personality, Pig was definitely the direct opposite. He loved to be around people, and always seemed to enjoy making new friends wherever the group travelled. The port drew closer, and the Captain’s voice could be heard from the speakers surrounding the boat. “We will be reaching Vermillion City momentarily. Please be sure to gather all your belongings, as we will be leaving once more for Johto by late afternoon.” Ren took no notice, as he had never put his belongings down in the first place. After another painstakingly long ten minutes, the ship pulled even with the port. After the captain wished them all a good day, they were allowed to exit. Not a moment too soon if you asked Ren.

He bustled towards the exit. When his feet found the pier the trainer released air that he hadn’t even realized that he had been holding. “Finally.”

Hey guys, sorry, but I can't continue this. I don't feel like holding you guys back with a post every two days. I have less and less time as life goes by, I get more and more work and school projects, and I don't have the attention I am supposed to give this roleplay. I will kill off my character when I find the time today, but yeah, I'm sorry, and thanks for an awesome journey, as long as it was. >w<

T________T I shall persevere. We should recruit.
Welcome! :)

Welcome back! So good to see you again! Sorry I left you with the rat, I'll jump back in to help after Aria replies.

Thank you thank you. I saved you from the rat. :'3
The scene of the fight was changing rapidly, Travis tightened his grip around his sword. The rat let out a menacing growl rising up to pounce on him. Speed was not his strong suit, but he was sure that he would be able to at least deflect a small amount of the damage with his shield. Before he could brace himself for impact however something small and fast collided with his side sending him sprawling across the ground. It took him a moment to realize what had happened. The runner had attempted to save him, for what reason he had no idea. He was obviously the one with the most defense.

He struggled to get to his feet as the rat pounced and narrowly missed Tanika. The damn armor made his movements sluggish. “Why did you do that?” He cried frantically as he finally managed to reach his feet. Travis grabbed her shirt, snatching her out of the way of the rat’s razor like nails, instead taking the hit himself before activating one of his own skills.

“Bash!” He howled as he slammed the edge of his shield into the enemy’s chin. Its eyes crossed momentarily, apparently stunned and confused. Travis took the opportunity to slash at it with his sword, it retaliated quicker than he would have liked, and he felt a sting of pain as the claws hit his arm. There was no time for stopping, and he had to keep the attention of the monster on himself if they had any hope of surviving. The pain was so real, he had to stop himself from crying out. Blood oozed from the cuts, but he knew that he couldn’t give up now.

Travis knew what he had to do, and time seemed to slow as the rat raised its hand to slash once more. I’ve got to disable it, he thought to himself as his sword began to glow a deep red. He activated his second skill with another cry. “Cleave!” The rat was in mid swing when his sword connected at the wrist, successfully cutting one of its paws off. At the same time the thief had used his fox form to dash behind it, quickly transforming and backstabbing it. The two attacks combined did a fair amount of damage. It retreated with a shriek of rage, eyeing them beadily with shining red eyes. It was only a matter of time before it recovered enough to jump back into the fray.

“We can kill this son of bitch, we just have to use teamwork!” He half yelled so that the others could hear him. “Let me take the damage. You guys focus on reducing its hit points!” Blood still poured freely from his wound, but he took little notice. This was his job, if he hadn't wanted to do this he should have played differently.

Yay our warrior is back X3Should we still going for the Rat King in the rat cave?

I kind of initiated combat seeing as I'm the tank and I'm supposed to protect people and what not. If that's not satisfactory I can edit my post though. :P

It's good to be back. I was devastated when this died down xD
The forest was dark, and before he knew it he had become separated from the others. Afraid to call out for fear that he would alert a monster, he trudged as quietly as possible through the forest. He remembered that Tanika said something about scouting ahead, and so he had begun walking in her general direction. His plate boots clanked slightly as he struggled through the thick underbrush. It seemed as if he walked for ages, though he couldn’t exactly be sure since he had a habit of neglecting to look at the time.

Just as Travis was sure that it was hopeless, and that all was lost he heard faint voices. Too far away to hear exactly what was being said he frantically began working his way towards them. As he drew closer he began hearing fragments of conversation. Someone was apologizing profusely. The voice was unfamiliar, but definitely belonged to a woman. As he burst from the woods into the clearing that contained the entrance to the dungeon they had been previously discussing, he viewed the sight of the thief from earlier helping what appeared to be another mage.

Tanika was laying on the ground as well, with an unpleasant look plastered on her face. It was acceptable, no one liked being knocked to the ground. The runner grabbed up the new comer’s, as though debating whether to give it back or not.

”…RUN IT’S COMING”

Travis’ HUD flashed red indicating that he had entered combat. From the mouth of the cave a large grotesque looking rodent charged. What happened next surprised even himself. Without thinking he had charged the rat, raising his shield to block a glancing blow intended for the mage. “Sorry guys, I seemed to have lagged behind.” He shouted as the Rat General’s claws scraped against the shield, making in eerie sound.

“I’d still like to be a part of this, if you would have me.” Travis commented, narrowly dodging another swipe from the boss.
